  1. Right now i have a open CAI. Are there any benefit to going with a closed in CAI. I have the AEM Dryflow filter and will be using it if I do get a box.
  2. Come on guys give some suggestions. Also is it bad to be running at 12.2WOT?
  3. I run 93 with 10% ethanol, same as when justin tuned it. Maybe I will have to try a diff. gas station. I might be wrong here but isnt gas mixed diff. for winter time. I got the tune back in july-august. So if my o2s are not working at WOT you think it could be the gas. I was driving home today and same thing 11.9-12.2@WOT. This is not good just when the truck was runnig great and the cooler weather was coming to miami. Any help would be a great. Right now I just dont want to buy 200 bucks worth of sensors and turns out it wasnt the problem. Thanks so far for the input guys.
  4. I just took them out and the only black carbon residue was around the top near the threads. It was normal around the holes. I went ahead and sand blasted them anyways just to be sure. I will test them tonite to se if there is a biff. Also the WOT is off now. Its at around 11.9-12.2.
  5. Hey Mr.P, I really don't know much about pcm tune but justin did a cable tune and data logged it. I am sure he took into account what you wrote. I don't remember this happening at the beginning just recent(3-4 days).also I am only running the front o2 sensor if that matters the rears where deleted. As a matter of fact it started when I took off the hose coming from the pass. side valve cover to the maggie intake tube. I added a small kn filter at the valve cover and blocked off the nipple on the tube. I started getting bank1and 2 lean codes so I put the hose back. Now I don't get the code but I noticed what I mentioned above. If I do put new o2 sensors do I have to retune. Thanks
  6. I think my o2 sensors are probably going bad. Here is what's going on. I have a wideband and I see it going from 14.5-14.7 to 15.2-16 some times higher. I will be crusing around 50 running fine, come to a stop still fine then I get up to 50 again and it will read 15.2-16, stay there for awhile and then drop to 14.5-14.7. At WOT its fine 11.7. What could this be? I haven't done anything diff. Haven't changed anything out. My SSS was tune about 3000-5000 miles ago and I currently have 58000 miles. If the o2 sensors are the problem and I change them out do I have to retune.
  7. Yes the truck is running fine. I would hate to put it back since the other day when I took it off the TB was dirty with oily residue. Anyways I will be putting it back today and see what happens.
  8. The other day I bought a little KN filter and put it on the pass. side valve cover and capped of where it went to the maggie intake. If I can remember correctlly that same day it threw a bank 1&2 lean code. Could it be becaause of what i did or just coincident. I havent done anything else other than the small KN on the valve cover. The code have come out about 3 times now. Also some time the truck runs around 15-15.5 on the wideband meter for abit sometimes and them goes to down to 14.5-14.7.
  9. I now have broken the pads in and I have a Question. The other day coming back from lunch I was doing about 70-80 and I slammed on the brakes 70-80 to 0. They got hot and you could smell them. Anyways after the complete stop I took off again and i got up to around 30 and when I hit the brakes I had to apply more pressure than I normally do. It felt like they werent really grabing. Is this normal?
  10. I wouldnt think there is air in the abs unless the resivour ran empty. Everytime do my brakes for some reason I think that the pedal has to much travel but it brakes just fine. I usually think it in my head and that after I do my brakes that the truck will start braking with just the least amount of pedal push. It is usually not the case but the truck stops fine. I wish my SS braked like my wifes 08 Tahoe, now that thing has nice brakes.
  11. Just went for a drive to brake in the new pads o the rotors and to make sure everythings fine. I dont have the thump on my brake pedal because i have no more cracked rotors. I really didnt get on the brakes to hard yet but it feels good. I might have to adjust the back drums a tad, myy pedals going a little bit feather down than I would like. are drum brakes self adjusting or do I have to use that tool to adjust them. I hate doing that, I think I am going to do a drum to disc conv. next.
  12. Here are the pics. Before Cracked rotor Before After Stock and SSBC rotors
  13. Yes when you go on the SSBC site there is a big brake kit for the 06 with rear drum.
  14. It just brings the brake caliper relocation bracket and 14 inch slotted rotors. Nothing to it. Brand new I think they run for around 500 new just for the front. Does anyone know where to get the SS brake lines. I have drum in the back so I dont need the whole kit?
  15. My wife has the camera and its kind of a pain to take pics post them to photobucket to them put them here. I will however take pics and post them of before and after the install.
  16. I just got my Big Brake SSBC kit. These things are big and beefy. I picked them up from ebay used for 200 shipped. The guy said they had 5000 miles on them and they look it. They are in perfect coditions. i cannt wait to get these babies on. I got some ACDelco ceramic pads to go with.
  17. I love my Maggie. It was worth every penny. Next will come a built tranny and stall.
  18. I got all my stuff from here. Shift kit, servos, accum. pistons. and he has good prices. You tell him what you want and what you have on your truck and he builds a kit for you. http://www.700r4l60e.com/
  19. Well I am driving to work and I see these HIDs cuting in and out of traffic and once they reach me I see it a lightning. And not just any lightning the same one I have raced twice before and beat. So I keep on my merry way and i say what the hell Ill do it a third time. He gets in front of me and when traffic opens up he punches it and so do I. By the time I am about to hit 3rd I am passing him and then its over. Thinking it was it wasnt. He would not give up. The last 2 times he had gotten off on his exit but this time he chased me to mines. The whole way he was behind me and as soon as i would get a chance I would punch it and leave him behind. Same day going back home from work I am on the turnpike, I paid the toll and as I am leaving I see this new Camaro SS fly by. So I catch up and I get next to him. We are doing around 70 (my sweet spot) and we both punch it. My truck downs to 2nd and instantlly pull on him. He was getting off on the next exit so we ran from 70 to about 100 and i pulled about 2-2 1/2 cars on him. After Justin did the cable tune its been running awsome.
  20. I just found a SSBC brake upgrade w/14" rotors and bracket for the front w/5000 miles for 175. Is it worth it?
  21. Hard to find ac delco stuff cheap. I looked at Bennett auto supply and for the price of acdelco stuff you could go aftermarket, like SSBC and Hawk. I know acdelco is good but there expensive.
  22. Today I was driving and everytime I stepped on the brake it would bump. So I look at them and they have stress cracks. So time to change the rotors and pads. What would you guys buy and from where? Autozone, Advance, Pep Boys? I dont want to upgrade right know since I am spending money in my black hole of a boat. And also I need them right now, I cant wait to have them shipped. They are bad so i dont want to be driving the truck like that. Thanks
  23. "no the hose coming from the pass is the inlet to the pcv system.....no need for a catch can on that side only on the outlet driver side " The thing is the other day I took of the intake tube and the TB was dirty and oilly kind of. Does it suck any thing through that pass. side, because from what I saw it does. I had clean my TB before i installed the maggie.
  24. I know about the catch can. What about the other hose coming from the pass. side valve cover to the intake tube, catch can also or eliminate it. Thanks
  25. I have read about the PCV valve and it sucking oil into the maggie. I have also read that there is a PCV valve from the corvette that fixes the problem, sorta. Anyways i way under my hood installing my wideband gauge and I looked and I dont have a PCV valve on the driver or passenger side. Did some of newer trucks not come with them or what? Also on the passenger side valve cover there is a hose that comes from the valve cover to the intake tube. What are you guys doing about that one leave it or lose it?
