  1. To all and their families, Merry Christmas. Sent from my Motorola RAZR MAXX using Tapatalk 2
  2. Pics of sister in law....... making cookies! I will put the icing on! Lol. I like cookies. And Merry Christmas! Sent from my Motorola RAZR MAXX using Tapatalk 2
  3. Look up Brian (2bfast) on here. He's not a shop but he had one of the cleanest SS's on here and is local to you. Sent from my Motorola RAZR MAXX using Tapatalk 2
  4. I had them at one time. But for the GM units only. I never copied them when I worked there, but I might be able to get them still.
  5. Yeah it can be done. But it will take a little over 1k to the wheels and a proper suspension set up to get you there. Also will have to shave a couple hundred pounds off her and then add a couple hundred pounds in safety equipment. So weight management, and suspension will be a big factor as long as you have the power. The price will still be way up there no matter how you look at it. You can prob bust out a 9 a few times with sub par parts before you break and have to replace things, but for reliability and quality you will pay more to begin with but in the long run it will be worth it.
  6. Looks good Brent. Did you put that ultra copper silicone in the joints when you installed the pipes? That will help those band clamps seal better it you didn't.
  7. Little insight on my cam. 222/230 .629"/.629" 112+2 EPS-ET lobes 110 ICL w/2* overlap SCR 10.4:1 DCR 8.18:1 This was speced with a few peoples knowledge on what I wanted and needed. Worked L92 heads with valves and springs, Holley Hi-Ram, 90mm tb, full exhaust, ls9 head gaskets, 3400 stall, and a healthy shot off the fogger and boost by turbo, and 65# injectors. Now put this cam on a single plane intake and run the rest the same and you would have totally different power and drivability with it. Not a good move. What a lot of people don't know is that there are tons of different cam lobe designs. Some are mild and some are aggressive. Some work well on the intake side for nitrous but not to well on the exh for it. Some work well in both areas, and some not so much on either. The more aggressive lobes will have more valvetrain noise and wear on the valvetrain. Valve events that are ground in the cam itself make a big difference between two cams. You can take two cams with the same duration, lift and LSA and put a different lobe design on them and have a totally different cam. IMO on a heavy ass truck like these, a lower duration cam (220-230 on the intake 226-236 on the exh for the L92's) with a 112-116lsa with a mid 3k stall, and a long runner intake will be a sure pleasure on the street and strip. Keeping the rpm's down to mid 6k shifts and torque steady down low. Now adding nitrous to the mix will play a factor in more with the lift and the LSA. Take this for what it's worth, but I don't want someone to throw parts on and say just throw more converter to it and you will be ok. This is a truck were talking about, and roughly 1k# more than a car weighs. Torque is our best friend for a DD. If you have a high duration cam and need to spin the motor over 7k to stay in the curve and a high stall to get you there, then that is more wear and tear on the drivetrain, and power under the curve is affected.
  8. LOL Or if you assume he has something he might not, and or has more than you think.
  9. Oh that sucks to have happen this time of year. Good reason to either build it bigger and better or upgrade. Keep us up on it. Sent from my Motorola RAZR MAXX using Tapatalk 2
  10. That is where a majority of them were made. Sent from my Motorola RAZR MAXX using Tapatalk 2
  11. This is true. I will have more into my nitrous than my turbo setup easily. I have even made and done most of the most expensive parts of it too. I have almost all the safety features possible for it as well as having the ability to dial my tune in myself. You can slap a kit on and run it and not have a problem BUT you never know. 12. I have over $700 in just a pump, reg, and a few fittings. And that's not including my cap and materials. I made mine. Sent from my Motorola RAZR MAXX using Tapatalk 2
  13. No its not. To the OP, remember that you will need a rectangle port intake as the stock intake won't work on the L92 heads. Didn't know if you are aware. Sent from my Motorola RAZR MAXX using Tapatalk 2
  14. To much overlap IMO. You will prob have to fly cut the pistons and with that high of a duration in this heavy of a truck you will want a 4k or more stall. It will also want to be revved to over 7k rpms and in that case rod bolts and tranny upgrades are a must. Sent from my Motorola RAZR MAXX using Tapatalk 2
  15. What intake manifold and exhaust setup? I like the TSP cam myself. Mine was speced for a big shot and boost with the L92 heads. And it is similar to the TSP cam. Mine is a little lower duration with more lift than both. I would call Brian Tooley and get his opinion and maybe Ed Curtis and a few of the good cam guys. 16. Huh? How about ok, huh, don't understand what you mean, not a good idea and what was the question? Sent from my Motorola RAZR MAXX using Tapatalk 2
  17. It depends on how much knowledge you have and the time you want to spend on tuning. I use EFI Live, but a majority of the tuners use HP Tuners. I have a buddy who uses and only used HP and was riding along with me while I was tuning with EFI Live and he was amazed at the difference in the two. He actually liked the features and ease of EFI Live compared to HP. EFI Live offers a unit called AutoCal and that is a logging device used by your tuner who uses EFI Live. You get a mail order tune, Log the truck with the PIDs needed and email the log to the tuner. He goes through the tune and writes a new tune and emails it back and you do a reflash. Not all tuners with EFI Live do this, but there are some good ones who do. If you are new to tuning I would suggest this or having someone do a live tune since your tuning with boost.
  18. Sorry to hear about the bad news again. Good luck with the sales, and hope you get better!
  19. I don't know if you have the throttle body coolant bypass mod done to yours, but if you do have it done route the coolant line back to the throttlebody. I had the same thing happen when the weather got cold out and that was my problem. If you don't have the mod done then do what was mentioned earlier.
  20. Here is mine. Think this was my first engine bay mod.
  21. Go with the Tr-55's they are pre-gapped at .050 as compared to the TR-5's at around .039. Check the gap on them anyways. I don't know your mods but a .050-.055 gap on a bolt on motor should be good to go. If you go with iridium plugs do not try to gap them. You can carefully check the gap but don't try to gap them.
