So they use the same Emblem between the GMC and the Chevy in 04-05 . I thought I saw on what I believe was a black VHO that had an all chrome version of that Sticker / emblem, was that an original piece or would that be aftermarket??? Possibly a figment of my imagination again... What about the Southern comfort edition Post #115 Is this just a repainted max emblem from 06 up?

Yes! Did you go to compnine.com and put your vin number in? They will tell you if there are any trucks exactly or similar to yours. Mine shows 3 matches but with 0% are exact and 3 matches but 0% close to matches...

I did list it But you may have missed it because it doesnt say dark green. They made only 9 in your color with a sun roof in 05

SS Trucks are so common and with the value of those droping so low lately I would hate to see you give this one away at some point. Just thought I would at least Help So that if you did sale it, That you could make the new owner aware of what they have. You can get Documentation from Gm on that stuff. If you search the site Some one else did it and Gives all the info needed to get in touch with the right Guy.

Ok FWIW 47U is listed as Dk Lichen. I guess thats the emerald green you described. They only made 30 VHO's in that color in 05 and only 3,063 VHO's total in 05. 04-05 VHO option only came in 2WD. V-max was in 06 and was the first time you could get LQ9 W/4x4 Rick I have a few questions Is that the original color? Did you buy it New? Could you do me a favor and look in the glove box at the RPO label and see if the Code 47U appears on it. If not, Is there another 2 numbers followed by the letter U on the list???

Unfortunitly once the Insurance company Pays out a Claim on it , It becomes there Property. If Is or was ever recovered, There under no obligation to notify You. It usually goes to there holding lot and then to an insureance auction. Depending on How much is left It could either be re-built or parted out depending on whats left and who buys it. I recently saw an 06 SS that was completely stripped. Only thing left was roling chassis and a bare cab. I have seen others were they only take most of the interior. Really Sad for those people to have to go through that

I have been doing some research on the 2004 and 2005 VHO Trucks since I found out about the compnine website http://www.compnine.com/vid.php They were all built in Canada as 2WD Extended Cab 1500 series trucks and were equiped with a torsion bar front suspension frame with the LQ9 engine, M32 transmission, GT4 3.73 rear gear, and G80 Gov Lock as standard equipment. 2004 models was equipped with the standard 10 bolt 8.625 rear end 2005 models were upgraded with the larger 14 bolt 9.5 rear end under RPO option AXN 2004 GMC with B4V option=622 ??? Only comes back with 620 color matches 2005 GMC with B4V option=2050 2004 Chevy with B4V option=1,938 2005 Chevy with B4V option=4,701 So in 2005 3,063 True VHO's and 1,638 2WD SS's 2005 was the first year The SS was available in 2WD. Apparently those were also B4V optioned. I found one for sale and that's how I discovered this. You will need at least a basic rebuild kit which usually includes new pinion seal, pinion crush sleeve, new pinion nut, and shims.

The compnine site shows the following Build numbers for the B4V option only on both the Chevy and GMC 1500 ex cab std bed models; 2004 GMC with B4V option=622 2005 GMC with B4V option=2050 2004 Chevy with B4V option=1,938 2005 Chevy with B4V option=4,701 There is some confussion though on how many are true VHO models. For example on the 05 models, I found 1 Silverado SS for sale containing the B4V option. When you combine the B4V and 1SS option in 05 it comes back as 1,638. Since its publicly for sale on the internet I will list the Vin for comparisson 2GCEC19N451307846 So what does B4V really mean??? It says Performance Package High Out Put Is it 2wd Performance package??? This is the brake down for these RPO codes; B4V 4,701 Performance package High Out Put B4U 9,957 Sports Performance Package AXN 4,701 14bolt hybrid LQ9 13,005 HO engine M32 13,005 HO 4L65E TRB 9,957 body color grille 1SS 9,510 option Package 16. When you combine the B4V and 1SS option it comes back as 1,638 of those 852 were Black RPO code 41U So if B4V is the High Output Option and 1SS might be for the SIlveradoSS option does that mean that there are really only 3,063 TRUE VHO trucks??? Are B4U and 1SS exclusive RPO's to the SilveradoSS??? I Know mine is rare as it is because there were only 300 made in my color. But If you have to justify it for insurance purposes I wouldnt want to get the short end of the stick. People barely know what the V-Max option is let alone a VHO.

So far this is what I was able to find for the 05 Silverado with the B4V Option With B4V and a color selected this is what I came up with; 62U is Spiral Grey metalic and shows 300 50U Might be White which shows 354 41 U should be Black which shows 1,929 TTZ was texas Edition Showing 2487 Found some other intresting things out and posted them in the VHO Section unde B4V option....

Did you guys try breaking them down by options? They have an RPO search so you can see what makes it rare. In 05 thay made 4,701 Of the VHO B4V option. The B4V option in Spiral grey comes back as only 300, Interior color gets its down to 225, Keep going on things like power options, California emissions and the numbers keep droping.... I wonder which color is the most poular and what is rare

I guesss my VHO is rare too! Of 698,528 - 2005 SIL 1500 EXT CAB STD BOX Vehicals there are 3 in the data base that match but 0% are an exact match or close to match... Here is whats intresting though; These 2 Options show only 4,701 B4V VHO Option AXN 14 Bolt Option But these 4 Options show 13,005 LQ9 M32 KC4 K47 I know SS was supposed to have the option of 2WD or AWD in 05 but according to this only the VHO had the 14 Bolt. Did the SS not get the 14 bolt untill 06 then???

Ya I am familiar with the VIN and RPO Codes... LOL! I just don't want people in my neighbor hood thinking Im gonna try and steel it or better yet that i was chopping cars. If you knew me personaly you would find that hillarious... I Any way i decided to look and of course there is always some on watching so i made it real quick. I think it was just a california edition they had its an 03-05 style truck with the factory 20's like on my VHO. Was just a 5.3 T code in dark blue.

You could get the 20's as an accesory through the dealer. There is one here in my neighbor hood. One of these days I am going to look but I am almost possitive its just a regular silverado.
