Car Fax does not always tell the whole story but it may be a good start. If the wreck was never reported it would not show up on a car fax. Most likely that is what happened. The 03-05 hood is not correct for the 06-07 grill and that is partially why it is not shutting properly. The other may be minor damage if it was indeed wrecked. Good Luck with your new purchase!!! Always glad to see some one new taking interest in such a rare vehicle. 07 Is the Rarest SS. Unfortunately we no longer have a way to get documentation as compnine has closed it web site. Based on other numbers I would say maybe between 1000 - 2000 units for that year. Remember they had to have something like 900 units in order to produce the original 2004 VHO trucks which were the same basic truck as the SS with out the body work and SS specific stuff.

Anyone Intrested In Another Lanyard Gb?

looks good!!! -
See!!! Things are already looking up. Adjuster always lowball it on other peoples vehicals.
-
I used to work in the Body Shop industry. As mentioned It's based on the value of the vehical and cost to repair. It take's atleast 70% to total a vehical because the hidden damage could easily exceed the other 30%.Now that doesnt mean It can not be repaired properly. Frames can be replaced and or straightened. 3hrs is standard time across the board to set up a truck, measure, and make some minnor adjustments. They have something called a supplement for additional repairs. The adjustor can only see what is on the outside of the damage and write an esstimate accordingly. The body shop will get paid to remove the damage parts and subbmit a supplement for what can not be seen. for example if the frame has more damage that they can not see or if they take the back door off and find more damage to the internal structure of the cab. Either way there is probally closer to another 4000 dollars worth of damage that cannot yet be seen by the pictures you have shown me.
-
Wow!!! Those are some nice Frame rails...
-
What A shame. If it does get fixed, You By law have the right to have it fixed any were so don't let them bully you. Make sure its at The Best Shop you can find and that you will be happy with the work. If you are not comfortable getting it repaired you can have them total it with the option to buy back which would end up costing you around $1500 to buy it back. You can easily make that back on the engine or keep it as a spare. If her insurance is jerking you around, call your Insurrance company. There legaly obligated to defend you and make sure you are protected. On specialty vehicals like this you can some times get above blue book value on the vehical because there difficult to replace. Get all your documentation together and try and find a comprable vehicale even if its in another state. Make them pay the difference. You didnt ask for there client to hit you but they are obligated to make it right to pre accident condition and if that means buying a similar vehical from out of state to compensate you then thats what it takes. It will cost them more money to fight you and go to court over this and as much as they want to get out of this as cheap as possible it's usually in there best intrest to settle out of court even if it cost them a little more. Don't back down and document everything!!! Every call with date and time, every different person you talk to regardeing this, Every vehical you look at. Keep records of everything that happens. Also make them understand that this vehical cant just be replaced like a regular truck. These were limiited edition and were only produced for 3 years with AWD. Even though Black is the most common color, a Clean one that meets the same condition standards as yours will not be easy to find even at Top Blue book price. I hope your feeling better and wish you the best possibly recovery. Don't rush It!!!

Anyone Intrested In Another Lanyard Gb?

I would be in for a couple of them -
Nice truck!!! Be glad i got that info when i did, the site i got it from is no longer around they went under... whish I would have done more research These trucks are hard to find in good shape and really rare based on the fact that they had more availible options unlike the SS trucks which had a standard package untill the later years. The best part is these are sleeper trucks!!! most people don't know what they are or what to look for. There also alot less likely to be stolen... I know of at least 1 other 05 victory red VHO truck that was totaled and is beyond repairing. Ever year there is less and less of these so there worth preserveing.

Fs: 2006 Chevy Silverado Ss Intimidator(Rebuilt Title)

Not to mention the original vin Plate is missing. -
It is no easy task however it can be done. You will need all the parts from a donor vehical. The front diff in the awd is different from the 4x4 unit. The same with the transfercase. The AWD and the 4x4 push button case are different. Then you will need the wiring diagram for a 4x4 truck of the same year. You will have to wire up the front motor to engage the front diff and also wire up the transfer case. You would most likely have to wire up the push button as well. It would be best if you could get all the wirieng from a donor truck.

sorry I ment the plastic screens that fill in the 2 openings.
-
Do you have the plastic ducts for the bumper???

You can run a stock 2.00 Valve if your on a budget. If you want the best Air flow a back cut and polished valve would be the best choice. I am not sure if there is enough meat to go to a 2.02 valve or not. You might even find a nice set of take out Valves on Ebay. Every once and a while stuff like that pops up. Most of the modified heads on the market go with a 2.02/ 1.57 combo. So the stock valves get tossed. Howeveer some guys buy new heads and re sale the original valves. there really not worth more then $50 in my Opinion. in some cases I have seen a whole set of in/ex sale for that. And by the way he is correct on the head gasket. You may bump the compression a little to much with those heads and want to run a thicker gasket so you can still run pump gas.
-
The heads would be ok for what your doing but I would put some better valves in those heads... There really gonna choke a 6.0
-
What Valve size??? Because factory size in the 706 head was 1.89 intake 1.55 ex.
-
The one from SAE is the original part, its just missing the SS badge portion. You can also buy the Intimdator one and remove the SS part of the badge and put it on the stock SS. all they did was move the SS logo down on the Intimadator series Badge. I have both in my possesion I bought them in hopes to do the same.
