  1. I know I need to use 0 gauge wire to do this upgrade but Im not sure about how much wire I will need and how exactly to go about doing it. I really dont want to pay our lal audio shops to do it and rather do it myself. So if someone can help me out and tell me how to go about doing ths and what is needed. Im doing thes because I have the altenator/engine noise comig from my speakers. I had a previous headunit in there and thought it was bad but its still doing it with my double din unit. I have grounds for both amps in behind the seats whic is grounded to the bolt under the seat in the center. I also have a ground under the steering column into the metal bracing. I thougth that ground might not be srong but I unooked it and I still had the noise so I left it hooked up. Iknow its not in the headunit or the wiring behind it. Im not sure where its coming from but I figured by doing the big 3 upgrade that it woudl take care of it. Or mayb just add an addition ground from the altenator. Thanx fo rthe help in advance guys.
  2. I could use the vanity lights on the underside of the mirror if it has them. Not just the bulb but the entire housing on both sides as long as the screws are able to break free. PM me and let me know if you have them.
  3. Im selling my crystal clar headlights + parking lights off my SS. I recently just switched to clear headlights with a smoke trim since Im tinting my tails. Nothing is wrong with the headlights at all. The only problem with the parking liths is that the drivers side one lets a lil condensation inside of it by the inner turnsignal. I know it can be fixed by resealing it. Id like to get 80 plus shipping for the entire set. or 40 for either set if someone needs them to be seperatd. I cna include new bulbs with the headlights. You can see pics of them on my cardomain page. www.cardoamin.com/id/firehawknwv
  4. Good luck bro. There are plenty out there. You just gotta be patient and look.
  5. Ive looked on there and this is true. Ive found a few on there that I like and have talked to the owners. I wouldnt mind having an already modded car but honestly usually those have had the crap ran out of them at the track. Id rather get one that is mildly moded and build it the way I wnat to that is still under 10k.
  6. Well guys this week I put out my 2001 Firebird for sale. Ive been the only owner since Sept. 1 of 2001. Ive taken well care of it and had many mods done to it. I dont wanna sell it cuz of all the time and money Ive spent on it but Im really wanting a LS1 car. It bluebooks for around 6200 with it being it great shape and 81k miles on it. Im getting offers of 7500 and Tuesday I have 2 different people meeting with me to look at it. If they both act like they really want it then I guess it will come down who can offer me the best price, lol. Well in its place Im looking at a 2002 TA WS6 six speed. Its black with black/tan leather interior and its fully loaded. It has a 2inch drop, Borla catback exhaust, Spec stage 1 clutch and a SLP induction kit. It just over 100k on it and the only thing wrong with it is a small spot on underneath the spoiler that the clear is coming off but Ill can get it fixed for cheap. This car still bluebooks for close to 12k. Hopefully I can get this worked out and move forward on it. Just thougth Id share.
  7. I forgot to post this but I got my exhaust fnished finally on Tuesday. I did 2.5in piping from the LTs back. Off the headers it goes into a Magnalfow X pipe just above the cross member. Now before the Xpipe i have to clamps which will be switched to band clamps cuz of a small leak on each. Those are so I can take loose the pipes so I can remove the tranny later on so wont have to cuz pipes and reweld. After the X-pipe it goes around the tunnel area by the driveshaft then into the 2 round Magnaflow mufflers which I had tacked together so they look nice. then out the side of the cab with 2 3in. Magnalfow tips. I will try to take pics tomorrow while Im at work and post them on here tomorrow night. It sounds really good I think so I will take another video. Next week Ill be installing my TBSS intake and TB w/ 44lb injectors along with my Tru cool tranny cooler and LS1 efans as well as getting this all tuned. Next will come a 160 stat which Ill order next week. Thats enought for now as Im selling my Firebird to get a LS1 car so Ill be playing with that also.
  8. You can find LS1 efans on ebay pretty cheap or check performancetrucks.net or LS!tech.com for f-body part outs.
  9. Im interested in your big 3 upgrade wires cuz I need to upgrade mine especially with adding a e-fan. I also would like the 160 stat pending on what brand it is and how many miles you have on it. Let me know how much and also where in Ohio are you located?
  10. I have 2.5 in all the way back with a Magnaflow X-pipe then into 2 Magnaflow round muflers then exits out the side of the end of the cab. I just got this finished yesterday and I dont hardly have much drone at all. The internal res isnt too bad either.
  11. Well I got my exhaust finished form the headers back today. While the truck was on the lift one of the guys notieced that my driveshaft had a small wear place on it. Its right where there is a piece of frame aht goes over the driveshaft so I know thats what is rubbing or what has rubbed it before. Im not sure if this was caused by me lowering the truck or not. Does anyone know what would cause this?
  12. Got my brackets and my Tranny cooler. Well be installed next week hopefully.
  13. Ive not seen one yet but I think most will agree that one of these trucks lifted would look horrible. Its a sport truck or (muscle truck) as i look at it and they arent ment to be lifted. If your gonna lift one Id jsut get a regular old Silverado 4 x 4. IMO
  14. Ok, thanx guys. I just wanted to be sure.
  15. If you wanna do a LS1 TB you will need to switch the upper intake manifold. Your best bet there would be a TBSS or L76 intake and then you could even use a TBSS throttle body. To do a LS car style intake you have to switch around a bunch of stoff on the front of the engine which is a PITA unless u really wanna go that route. The difference between a LS1 TB and a TBSS TB is that the LS! is a true 90mm and the TBSS is 87mm. Not really much difference in the gain of the two. You wont see much gain out of a TB and intake swap without supporting mods. Im not sure on the exact numbers but Ive heard on a TBSS intake and TB swap you see gains of 15-30 rwhp with supporting mods I.E. exhaust and CAI. Im sure one of the other members will chime in here and give you more details. This is just from what I know myself as I am puting a TBSS setup on my truck on the 1st with 44lb injectors and LS1 efans. If you want one of these setups look over on performancetrucks.net Thats where I got my setup from.
  16. Im gonna be installing some parts on the 1st. One of those parts are LS1 efans. I was considering getting a 160 stat to go with the fans since i have to tune for it and the the new TBSS intake with 44lb injectors.. I know the performance benefits of it. However, I was wondering if it make the heater run cooler during the winter. I ask this because mine is a DD and because when I installed one in my Firebird it lowered the effectiveness of the heater. In the Firebird I could turn it up all the way and it would still not be as hot as it was with the stock stat. So somebody just let me know before i order one. Thanx!
  17. Im looking to buy a 3k stall if anyone has one they want to part with or knows where to get one at decent price. Not sure on what brands to go with. Right now I have a Tru Cool tranny cooler that is goin on the truck soon and I will be installing cervos and a HD2 shift kit. Not sure what else will be needed but IM sure someone will chime in. Im doing this on my stock tranny for now to see how it holds up witha cam install and such. When if fails im gonna to a 80e swap.
  18. As a fan of basketball I have to respect this. Ive been wanting to do some crazy shots myself. I saw something on TV a lil while back where these guys use indoor skating skateboard ramps and stuff making crazy shots . Also using their skateboards to bat the ball in the hoop.
  19. Ok sounds good. Looks like I will be ordering one and one of the ktis you have. PM sent Do you use any of the lines or fittings supplied with the cooler to install it along with the kits you have?
  20. IM interested in one of thes kits also. My question is about the Trans cooler. I will be doing a 3k TC cervos and hd2 shift kit. Are these the coolers that many of you are puting on your truck for these installs? They do look a good bit bigger than stock which will cool better under the cirucumstances of a stall and such. Also where can I get one of these coolers?
  21. Thats cool. Just tought Id throw out the offer.
