  1. Yea they are rivets. I jsut drillled mine out and walah it came off.
  2. Well I went to the body shop that I had my spoliler and front bumper painted at so they could do somehting for me whch Ill have to be back Monday. Anyways the guy said he would paint my ducts for free when they are painting a balck car. He also said they could tint my tails and 3rd brake light for free. He showed me his Harley D F150 that he did and they looked great. He said all he did was take black paint and thin it down so it comes out almost clear and just have me watch them do it and tell them to stop when its dark enough for me. So Im gonna let him to that for me. I should have taken a pic of his tails cuz they did look really nice. Since it was automotive paint you can wax them also which is cool.
  3. Wow that is a lot on shipping. Only bad part is I cant find those kind of headlights/parkign lights anywhere so I may have to go ahead and do it anyways. Im still thinking bout the black ones, but the only black accents I have right now is window tine and the visors. If i get the black ones IM thinking of tinting the tails and 3rd brake light. Possibly painting the brake ducts black.
  4. Im thinking of selling them to get a different set of Boss wheels. If interested let me know cuz Ill let them go for 900 for jsut the wheels. I wanna keep the tires.
  5. Sounds really good man. Ive been wanting one of those cars myself.
  6. Hell I think mine was used as a work truck before I got it as well. It had dirt and crud all in the door jams and in behid the taillights and stuff. Not to mention the "rhino like" linear had been scuffed all to hell. No long will it be used for purposes like that lol.
  7. Thanx guys! Well for the bumper cover, grille, and the spoiler I paid 400 bucks which was a good deal. I paid another 100 to have my rear fenders rolled cuz my tires were rubbing which still need to be rolled a bit more. Yea, I think its a pretty smooth look. Its the Xtang RT cover. I got it off Ebay for just under 300 bucks.
  8. Ive never seen anyone do that before even on LS1tech. Looks really good though. Nice job.
  9. Here are a few pics I took with my Droid at my grandmothers. I had just washed and detailed the SS but the Firebird is still dirty. Also in the pics is my newly installed ISS spoiler and headers. Also had holes in the front bumper filled where the license plate cover was. So the front bumper and grill area has also ben repainted.
  10. Ok, thanx. The funny thing is the 2 magnaflow mufflers that I have were Zachmans who posted in that thread you posted, lol. He talked about ditching them after his headers install and thats exactly what he did so I got them from him. Also stated in that threadis that 2.5 in is enough for NA trucks so that helps, but Im sure others will chime in here also.
  11. Well now that I got my Doug Thorley LT's installed Im ready to finish the rest of my exhaust. Currently I have Magnflow x-pipe 2.5 in/out and 2 Magnaflow 2.5/2.5 round mufflers that were gonna get installed. So I was gonna go 2.5 in all the way from the headers back. I originally was gonna go the same round but with 3in all the way back. Ive been told that dual 3in is too much for our trucks with just bolt on mods. I figure dual 3in would be perfect for these trucks as I figure there will be enough backpressure still but enough flow to get power and good sound out of. I will be installing a TBSS intake w/tb, 44lb injectors and efans and currently I just have a Volant CAI wiht the LTs muffler and a tune. So if anyone can can help pint me in the rigth direction Id appreciate it. I searched but didnt come up with much of what I wanted to know. I do plan on a cam and stall soon so thats why Im instaling the 44lb injectors now with the TBSS intake.
  12. Yea I agree. Definate good find SS TRuck, thanx. IM thinking I may get a black set as well then tinit my 3rd brake light and tails, but not sure if thats the route I wanna go yet. The black ones do look good though. The crystal clear ones are exactly the ones I got off Ebay. The headlights do jsut find without any condensation problems so its just the parking lights. I may have this problme where I had to shave the sockets down slightly for the LED bulbs to work.
  13. Here is a vid I had my roommate who was with me record coming acrossed the bridge to my apt.
  14. Back in February or so a member on here posted that a guy had a bunch of them and was selling them for 300 bucks. So I jumpe don it and bought a set. Bad part is I jsut now got around to installing them.
  15. Well Ive been tod on here that dual 3" is too big unless you have more mods cuz of the lack of backpressure. I wouldnt think it would be but Ive got the 2.5in xpipe and mufflers now so I dont wanna have to rebuy the parts at this point.
  16. Well I got my Doug Thorley LTs installed today and I must say Im pretty happy with their fitment and quality overall. Right now my setup after the headers are no cats with stock piping all they way back to a Magnaflow muffler with the dual tip coming out behind the cab. It sounds pretty aggresive as it is right now. I hope to finish the exahsut this week. Im gonna run 2.5in all the way back. Im gonna have the piping off the headers run into a 2.5 x-pipe into dual 2.5 magnaflow round mufflers that I got off another member on here. After that Im not sure if i wanna dump it or still take it out where it is. I also think the performance gain is pretty decent from them as well. Soon as I get the exhaust finished its off to install my TBSS intake and TB, 44lb injectors and my LS1 efans then get it tuned for all the mods. The truck should be running pretty good after all of that. I will try to get a few pics tomorrow and a vid of it on the road and post it up.
  17. If you dont have any engine mods yet (cam, heads etc.) dual 3in will be overkill. Id just step down off the collectors to dual 2.5in all the way back unless you are planning other mods in the near future. Thats just my 2 cents.
  18. Yup as said before its a common problem with our trucks. Youll have to replace the entire gauge cluster and they run about 300+ from a dealership. I had to replace mine shorlty after I got my truck and just barely missed the recall mileage deadline so I had to pay for it myself at that rediculous prices. Then they wanted to charge me another 100+ for labor. I said screw that so I borowed one of the dealerships socket sets and went out to the parking lot and took it out myself and then took it in and got my new one and It worked perfectly. Labor costs sucks, lol.
