  1. Well its not hitting hard just rubbing. Im not sure how much it would rub under some weight.
  2. So really just cut a section about 4-5 inches wide and a curve of about 1 - 1 1/2 inches deep....
  3. Wont this weaken the cross member and could result in some kind of damage?
  4. its the 2/3 kit that I got from you. Its set in the 3in hole. I dont think its my cross member that is rubbing. I believe ti to be part of the fram above the shaft. Can you post a pic of how you ahve notched one out? This is same problem that we talked about over PM back in Nov. or so.
  5. I was looking through my new Summit catalog and came acrossed some helper springs for a decent price. I was wondering if these woudl be helpful on my truck or could even be installed so I would be able to haul certain stuff. The reason I was considering this is cuz my truck at certain point when it hits dipsi in the road and such will rub on my driveshaft. Ther is a ring on the driveshaft where it has been getting rubbed against the part of the frame aove it in the tunnel area. Ive been told i cna just cut part of that frame out or notch the area so it dont rub. Is this also accurate that I can do this? The reason it rubs I imagaine is from my 2/3 drop. Now Ive not heard of anyone else haveing this problem but maybe someone else has so if so let me know.
  6. Thanx man. Yea I like what you did with yours as I remember the posts backni in the spring time. I think I like the other hood I found a lil more as its just slightly different in the scoop. Ill keep the link jsut in case I change my mind.
  7. That does look real good man but I wont have the money right now to get it molded I dont think as Ive got a few other thigns to finish first. Thanx for the link but it doesnt say if the bulbs are LED or not.. Are those the ones you have?

  9. Yea I thoght so too but still made the post anyways with out the additon of my other thoguth , lol.
  10. Haha well as long as I was right about someone doing it.
  11. Thanx Fireman! Well Ihave a flush mount tonneu so dropping the gat shouldnt be an issue.
  12. Haha we have a loal Lions Den where Im at. I didnt think they were a national chain of sex store, lol.
  13. IM not sure if hes the one or not but somone custom made theres back in the spring time I believe.
  14. Im thininking about going with the Reflexxion Auto. ram air hood. I think a couple members on here have this hood or one similar to it. If you know of one similar let me know. What you think of this one? http://www.gcustoms.com/0305-silveradoavalanche-steel-hood-p-26317.html?osCsid=95c902debdb9443a35424e8cd36416ef
  15. Yea, I couldnt find anything really either.
  16. Hey guys I was wondering what all can be done to our trucks for weight reduction. I didnt figure there was a whole lot but I was just wonderig so if someone would clue me in Id appreciate it. Also does anone know what each item you take off approx. weighs? So far Ive: -taken off spare tire -taken off front tow hooks -taken off tow entire tow hitch -taken off spare tire mount -removed rear bumper when I install my BSER rollpan When going to the track I plan on taking out my rear seat and speaker box.
  17. Ive tried pming the guy and texting him for days and Ive not gotten a response. Last I heard from him is that he was gonna take the parts off the truck that I wanted. Has anyone heard form him in the last couple of days.
  18. Kind of a cool video, but I think have a little more respect for your SS than to slam it though gravel. You will find a lot of the guys on here wont like that part of the video cuz we dont treat our trucks like that. Now for tat pos Duke truck then yea put it through all kinds of h#ll. Im not being mean here just being up fornt with you good sir.
  19. Heres a few that I took back in October with my Firebird at my Grandmas house. Really the only different is I ditched the clear headlights and put smoked ones on. I think I saw the exact ones on someones balck truck above.
  20. Well I have LED lights in the stock ones now and Id liek to utilize LEDs on the roll pan as well. No at this point in time i dont plan to mold it. I may do this down the road when I 2-tone the truck. I was thinking of doing the SS black on top and the arrival blue as it is now or silver birch on top. I didnt rally wanna get too crazy with a paint job whne i do it. I was thinkig of doing something to seperate the 2 colors but not sure yet. That will be somethin I do way later on down the road. First I plan on getting one of those cowl ram air induction hoods around the first of the year so I can put the pan and hood on at the same time.
  21. Well I just got my BSER Roll pan in today from WODY. I plan on installing it closer to spring time so that I will be able to have the truck in the shop a couple of days and drive my Firebird. Here are just a couple pics I snapped after I took it out of the box. I cant wait to loose the extra weight on the back of the truck with the stock bumper and add this for a nice look. THANX WODY!!! I do have one question though. Do any of you know if you can have areas cut out by the license pate to add the stock bumper light sockets? If not what route shoudld I got to get light back there?
  22. Ok, thanx guys. I was just curious for future reference. I probably wont be dont this mod for a while anyways as I have other things to do first.
  23. Hey guys I was wondering if any of you were running a Detroit Trutrac in the rearends of your trucks. A buddy of mine did it in his 03 model after he did his 80 swap and converted it from AWD to 4WD. I was just wondering if it would benefit me at all with me keeping my truck AWD when I do my 80 swap.
  24. Still waiting on cofirmation of taking of the parts I wanted.
