Ill be pulling the motor out of my truck this weekend and starting the inspection process to determine what caused me to lose all but 18psi oil pressure and fill my oil filter full of metal shavings... Any advise or opinions will be great... Are the Ls motors (LQ9) really as easy to breakdown and rebuilt as everyone makes them out to be... Ive never done a motor before but im not scared so please help!!

I have an AWD Sss and when i was looking at the 4L80 swap it was just so involved and I had so many people with different opinions on what has to be down i just gave up and did a 4l65... Can i reuse my transfer case or do i need a new one...

i wish I got 26mpg... I'm getting 12mpg realtime with both city and highway... 15mpg highway if its all on the highway... And I dont drive aggresive... i try and stay out of the boost as much as i can. And yes im awd

Ive never pulled for a contract with the city so i never had to worry about being nice... As a matter afact Ive only towed maybe a handful of cars with the customer asking me... Most of my tows i have to steal... But if i was a towing company dealing with customers asking me to tow i would definitely be more careful and tow them properly... But that's the difference in towing and repoing.

If the driver admits to be incompitant than i can see the towing company doing something... If the driver doesnt than and the tow company doesnt want to pay they wont b/c you will sign a release before you get the truck back... In florida there arent any towing laws so whatever the tow company wants they get b/c in most cases they r bigger and have more $ so they can fight you if they want...

I had a similar problem and it was inside the head unit... After sending back to pioneer twice they finally told me that they couldn't fix it that they would only give me a coupon for $100.00 off any pioneer product i wanted... So i bought an alpine doubleden and havn't had a problem yet...

I agree.... i am a repo company owner now and if I want the car/truck is going with me... In most cases we will pull the driveshaft but in an AWD like the sss or tbss or acura anything awd u cant just pull the driveshafts... So what i do is drag it to a safe place were i can safely hook up or use the the wheel dollies... And yes i have drug a car over a mile before stopping which im sure left atleast 2 bald spot on the front tires... And the statement "Hell if they F it up by towing it by dolly or whatever, they are the ones footing the bill" isn't true at all...I live in Florida and we have more repo laws than any other state in the US... No where does it say if i tear it up i have to pay for it... In most cases you cant prove i broke it and i wont admit to it so the only thing you can do is sue me and again Ill win b/c you cant prove I broke it... Besides I make the vehicle owner sign a vehicle release form before they get there car back which releases me of any liability or damage to the car... So ether way your screwed and not me..

I would love to install a cage but i use my bed a lot, I have a hard cover, and I have my daughter with me all the time... So installing a cage that would eliminate the use of my back seat and not to mention i would have to install front aftermarket seats is just out of the question... Unless we find a cage that goes around everything...

agreed that sounds like something else... if it is the pass-lock than it wont matter how many times u press the pedal its not going to turn the fuel pump on...
