turboed ss

i heard that Chevy quit the production of the duramax diesel and have no intentions of having a diesel motor available anymore...

i watched a how to video on you tube and it seems pretty easy im just worried about the them coming out or breaking b/c of the heat that the turbo will generate... what do u think

were can i get them???

I have a 67mm turbo that i had taken apart well somehow i managed to strip out the treads on the turbo housing when i separated it from the cartridge can this be fixed or do i need new housings????

i have 4 8"w7s under my back seat with some plexyglass and a PS2 ill post some pics within the next couple days..

here in Fl. they cant ask u to remove them... which is y i would be pissed and make a scene... but if thats the way the law reads in N.C. than i would for sure remove them on the spot if i had to... I would be mad and try and talk my way out of it but i would do it b/c i cant beat that in court if its written in the law... do people still have those stupid washer lights.. i figured they all would have burned out or the car down by now....LOL oh yea its a good thing i dont have and never will have the blue anything on my red and black truck...

i think i would cut open the oil filter and make sure its not full of metal first... i had a similar problem and now I'm neck high in my new motor... i thought it was just an oil pump also but 6k later i get a new motor...

I agree with u in the fact that my little blue lights might lead to someones full on strobe kit and them playing cop... And i agree with u in the fact that they are a nono and shouldn't be on anything but a cop car for cops only... Please explain to me y i shouldn't have them... if im driving with them on yes i deserve a ticket but go to jail over some lights is dumb... And unless i have them flashing or im meging traffic or if im doing something stupid with them than yes i should go to jail b/c i would be impersonating a cop... but not just driving... explain to me the law that says a cop has the right to make someone uninstall something on a vehicle or explain the law that gives u the right to impound a vehicle b/c they didn't uninstall something... If i'm not impersonating a cop you cant charge me with that and if you do, you would be lieing and i would have been wrongly arrested and that is when i would be sueing... I will definitely give an officer the respect that he deserves until i felt like i was being disrespected myself... For a cop to tell me i have to uninstall something right in front of him is disrespectful I'm not taking anything off my truck on the side of the road for any cop... I would rather go to jail and be out in a couple hours and sue the crap out of the department... A warning/ ticket and a good talking to would be enough for me to not do it again or fix the problem but a you have to right now or else wont do it...

Yea that was just a d***headed rookie looking for some action... my bestfriend here is a local cop and said b/c the way the law is writtin that u can have the lights and they can be on (excluding blue thats a no no) you just cant be merging traffic... if u do than that is a crime and u will go downtown... but as a licenced repo guy i can have amber and can use them as i see fit..

Im sorry but i dont see how a cop can make u uninstall anything... Im in FL maybe the laws are different but i would just tell you what u can do with urself and to write me a ticket... its not a criminal offence so u cant take me to jail unless theyre flashing and i was impersanting a cop... When im driving around with my repo truck (w/out a car on the hook) with all the yellow and red flashing merging traffic out of my way like an ems vehicle i never get messed with... And yes i have passed a cop i even merged 2 as i went passed them both !!!

The guys at Monster trans are morons!!! I was having shifting problems with my trans that started after my turbo install and a tune. they tried to convince me that the reason for the problems was I was making to much HP. they said I needed to which to some kind of a stuipid manual shift linkage instead of a computer controled shift... I knew they were dumb but I played along and after it was all said and done they tried to sell me the parts... i knew it was in the computer and after 4 months of fighting with it and just about the time I gave up my guys at a local Hot rod shop figured it out...

I like but i think if i do anything to the gauges i just want all autometer... and maybe red if i can get them

so i can brake on the dyno as normal but once I stop it has to go into P... and i dont put the truck in N ill be ok

I need a new roommate can i have yours??? My wife didn't get me anything for Christmas... Maybe its b/c Im buying myself the new motor... :dunno:

so dynoing and tuning it on the dyno which could take a couple hours will be ok

and how does driving it differ from dynoing it?
