  1. Just Picked Up A Radix Where Is The Best Place To Get A Tune?

    So I just picked up a used Radix Magnacharger for the SS. I called Magnason in Ventura, CA and they are going to charge 400 for a tune. Where would be the best place to get a tune for my truck I live in Los Angeles. Also I need a inline fuel pump Magnason charges around 200 is that a good price? Thanks in advance for any help! :cheers:

     

     

    Dont pay that much for the pump this is where i got mine they shipped fast and they are cheaper do you have the wiring kit that came with the radix for the fuel pump? if not get that from magnuson but buy the pump here and also from what i remember magnuson didnt have a 255 they had the 190 either way too much money for there pumps heres the link where i go mine

    if you end up doing a x pipe and dual mufflers im assuming your gonna get rid of the muffler you have? if you do try and get 14'' bodied mufflers thats what i have and as stated i can barely hear the exhaust in my truck but if i roll down my window you can lol i have bluetooth ran through my stereo and no one can ever hear my exhaust they can only hear the supercharger whining if you go this route you will not be dissapointed adding an x pipe gives your truck a smoother more tuned exhaust note similar to a vette or something not as much like a truck you will love it keep us updated on your choice

    Is there any specific part of the swap you have questions on?

     

     

    i guess my questions are can i use the stock 4l60 that came with the truck? do i need to swap converters? can i adapt the lq9 harness and ecu to run stock gauges? what are the best motor mounts?header options? does any one have wiring diagrams for obs and nbs? stuff like this would be helpful

    exactly what i was thinking , you could probably make a new pocket for it on the dash but it would most likly be unproportioned with the angle of the glass being different. curious to see what you come with . are you using one from a c5 or c6? seems like the c5 would likely be compatible with the gen 3 engine in the trucks.

     

     

    ill be using one out of a c5 vette and one cool thing about these is that the display is adjustable by button you can raise or lower where the info is displayed on the windshield and the c5 vette hud's have a gmeter built in im still not 100% if im going to install it or not depends on what things look like when the hud arrives if i dont put it in my tahoe i will install it in my bagged and body dropped s10 which some time this year will also be recieving my magnacharged 5.3 and im going to buy a tvs 2300 and build a 427 for the hoe

    good info on there but people on here shouldnt get confused when they start talking about the push rod lengths as long as any one with a silverado gets the hydro boost that came on 4wd tahoe or yukon ,denali,2500hd or escalades then you will be fine its just less confusing to get the escalade one 2002 and up there all the same and get the lines for the same vehicle and brake pedal for same vehicle and (power steering pump optional) and your done!!!!

    true. I'm not a big fan of that setup and would prob do some serious sick glasswork to that dash if it was mine. You gonna do it for sure though?

     

     

    i want to get the parts before i make the decision parts will be here next week lets put it this way im not scared to try it lol

    I know you said you don't want to hear this buuuuuuut.....In NC you will actually have to uninstall them on the spot if you do get stopped. I would personally make you uninstall them right there.

     

    They look good though, for what it's worth. I'll just keep my blue lights in the cruiser and make you uninstall yours.

     

     

    IMO neon light make vehicles look ghetto and cheap but if you like them then thats all that matters

    Yea flowmaster does some sh*t that f*cks up something lol idk but i just like that deep sound that Magnaflow has. After the exaust Headers would be another good add on.

     

     

    ive had both like both but magnaflow definately flows more

    So that's is all you need? I have looked at this before over at pt.net - the stock powersteering pump will work?

    thats all you need there is nothing different about the pumps just one has 2 return lines instead of 1 they dont pump any more or any less
