no misfires either. its gotta be in the tune or the pcm itself.
it may not be throwing a misfire code but can you look at each cylinder individually? if so there will be a misfire count even perfectly good running motors will have a misfire count I have a diablo sport predator and now hp tuners and with these you can look at every cylinder and see what the misfire counts are its not a code its just the numbers if you can take a look at that it might give some insight but like i said even if you cant feel it there will probably be a misfire count
-
im not real familiar with the aeroforce gauges can you look at misfires on that gauge?
-
If it was the tune was off it would have something to do with the VE tables being off and it would affect both sides not just one im still kinda convinced its your injectors
-
so when you swapped from side to side did the code go from bank 1 to bank 2?
-
That sucks man. We're kinda in the same boat if it's any consolation
Man i feel better now lol j/k man

Well i was racing a dakota r/t today and towards the end of his defeat i heard a slight knock so i backed out and pulled in to a store and didnt hear it any more and the only time you hear it is when you have a load on the engine i hooked a stethascope to it and its definately bottom end if i was deaf i wouldnt even know anything is wrong with it so i gotta keep it going long enough to find a low milage lq9 or lq4 oh well sh*t happens
-
those look pretty good, where did you buy them from?
anyone else have any suggestions?
Ebay for the gauges and jegs for the gauge pod!

as greg told me, since they will be cleaned using a 12v source to make sure they are firing, it wouldnt matter to switch to the other side because if they are firing on a batt on the work bench, then they would have to be good. if they DONT fire, i would have dead injectors but if they do fire while installed in the truck and my problem is still there, then i have another problem.....
it may not be a matter of them working it will be a matter of them working correctly as much time as we spent going back in forth about it you could have already done it and been 100% positive to what the problem is instead of guessing
-
i talked to greg and my problems sound almost identical to urs man. the other plugs are COVERED in crap trying to make up for some problem and theres gunk all around the injectors so im gonna clean everything off of that and clean the injectors. i dont wanna swap sides so i can see which injector went where so i can diagnose this if its not the injectors.
the question is even after you clean them and it still acts up how will you ever know that its not the injectors? I guess what im saying is even if you clean them doesnt mean that they will work correctly and if you swapped to the other side it wouldnt be a guess to what the problem is and then you could act accordingly. Atleast try this clean them but make sure when your done you take the ones that were in bank 1 and install them in bank 2 atleast then if it still does it it should be on the other side!
-
i wasnt planning on putting the factory ones back in. i dont want to waste the time by swapping sides. if im taking them out, im gonna clean them anyways...
it would only take 20 minutes and atleast you would be 100% positive thats the problem if you did if you clean them and it still does it that doesnt its not the injectors even though you cleaned them and you would end up thinking its a different problem when it is still the injectors my .02
-
i have my factory injectors with the o-rings in perfect condition.... i dont have a compressor or anything here. idk how to hook up the injector outside of the truck because mine were direct fit. im gonna take them out tomorrow and clean them. can u explain a little better or give me a call to explain it better so i can elaborate on my problems.
thanks
btw my factory injectors are NOT in the motor, they are in a bag. just to be clear i have DELPHI 42lbers
if your tuned for 42's you wont be able to put stockers back in with out a retune did you try swapping the bank 1 injectors with bank 2 to see if it now throws a code for bank2 ??

hey guys i have the aeroforce scan gauge and i need a wideband so is the wideband that aeroforce has a good one? i want to be able to plug it into my scan gauge and monitor it on there. it says u can add sensors via aux imputs from the gauge but what do yall think??
Aeroforce makes good gauges im sure the wide band is no exception!

Hydro booster FTW!! out of all my brake mods this is the best one i have done and i have ss brake lines z06 calipers 15'' rotors and drilled and slotted 14'' out back the hydro booster makes even the stock brakes feel 1000 times better and i did my hydro booster for about 350$
-
OK, I ordered HP tuners MPVI Pro, and I need to purchase a wideband, I'd like to keep the gauges similar to my stock SS gauges, but also want to know which will be the easiest to use with HP tuners. Any input would be appreciated.
also can anyone point me in the right direction to get an A-pillar gauge pod?
Thanks in advance.
ive got autometer for both all of my gauges are autometer and so is my gauge pod my wideband also had outputs so that i can tie it into my hp tuners scanner
-
swap the injectors to the other side see if it does the same
-
Did you get a wideband with your HP tuners?
I already had a wideband on my truck and now have it hooked up to the scanner also
-
no i have my areofroce and im reading 25% called for on bank1 on my LTFT. bank 2 is right around 0-2%. so it has to be something on driver side
did you try spraying the TB cleaner yet?
-
would that cause a lean code?
if it was real bad it would idle like crap and if it was just a little bit it would be air that gets by the MAF so yes its possible that it could show lean do you have a a/f ratio gauge?
-
spray some throttle body cleaner around the intake and engine if the engine revs then you have a vacuum/intake leak
-
shift kit and servos will not prevent it just pro long it!!

this SH*t has been for sale 4 times now i think some thing is wrong with it BEWARE!!
