  1. I have a very simiar setup as to what you are talking about. Here is the link, all the details are in the thread. And yes, it is loud. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/76746-exhaust-clips-pacesetterflowmaster/
  2. Being from Louisiana, I have lived through this myself. Particularly Andrew and Katrina. Luckily my family never suffered such devistating losses. Any good news on the rest of your vehicles and house and stuff?
  3. I ran a Lightning this morning in my DD Colorado. Had him by 2 truck lengths before I got off. I dont think he knew we were racing ; )

      That's great lol

  4. I was there back in 08 or 09, awesome place. The exchange rate was around 1 to 1 but everything costs about 2 times as much and everybody earns about twice as much. Some random lady pushing buttons on a cash register told us she was making 18 bucks per hour. And a case of beer cost us 40 bucks. Great place though. My favorite saying I learned there is Bob's your uncle. It means no worries. I still use that one.
  5. I was going to tell you to check your perimeter light setting, but you said you already did that. Must have been those damn wire gnomes!
  6. Hopefully you guys have a sense of humor about this. Ok, yes I realize I misspelled Halloween. I cant edit the title.
  7. I'm a big fan of the original three. Episode 1 is a total POS, Episode 2 a little better, Episode 3 a little better. I just hope Disney doesn't further ruin the legacy.
  8. That's a hell of a setup. I think it would be easier to do the AWD conversion. AWD does seem pretty bad ass. The hours I'll have, the money I'll get, I won't trade trucks though, too much sentimental value.
  9. Thanks for the complement and congrats on the new truck. I specifically chose that tire size because it was the closest match to the stock tire height. It measures 0.1" taller than the stock tires. And yes, they are the reps. The only two rims I think I would really consider putting on this truck are the 22" reps or the TBSS wheels. Good luck with yours. Let me know what you go with.
  10. Thanks for the input guys. I think y'all changed my mind. Now when y'all talk about a "legit" rear suspension setup, what does that entail? Really nice shocks and a Caltrac?
  11. What’s up guys? So, my eventual plan is to drop an LS7 in the SSS if I can find a decent deal on one down the road when I’m ready. I also plan to drop in a 4l80 when I do the engine swap. One of my obvious concerns with adding a $h!t ton of horsepower is hooking up. I am considering the possibility of doing an AWD conversion. I would like to know first off if this is a stupid idea? Am I retarded for wanting to do this? Also I have a few more questions below: What all do I need besides a transfer case, front diff, front axels? I know with the 4l80 conversion I will need a shorter driveshaft. What if I just did the AWD conversion and not the 4l80 conversion, would I still need a different drive shaft? Since my truck is 2wd I’m pretty sure my rear end has 3:73s, and AWD trucks have 4:10s. So if I buy a front diff off of someone I assume it will have 4:10s and I will need to change the gears in my rear end? Is that right? I currently have 2” drop spindles and drop keys on the front, probably equivalent to about a 3” drop in the front. Will that be an issue with the AWD conversion? If I recall correctly, I think I’m alright. I think that is about the lowest AWD guys usually go in the front. Is there such thing or even a reason to have traction bars on an AWD truck? Lastly, what should I expect to pay for a transfer case, front diff, and any other components I may need? Is there anything I missed? Other things I need to take into consideration? Thanks in advance guys. Chris
  12. Thanks man. This angle makes it look a little bit lower than it is. I'm running 285/45/22s. I may go with a slightly lower aspect ratio next time, we'll see.
  13. It's a BSER, and no, but the roll pan itself requires a little fitment.
  14. Well y'all didn't miss too much of a show. Unless you like Mustangs. Anyway, it would be nice to get some members together at some point. Maybe some other time...
  15. If you are in the Gulf area there's a car show this Saturday (Oct 13th) at Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile 0900-1500. It's about an hour west of me, but I'm thinking about going. Just wanted to see if anybody else knew about it or was interested in going. The link and all of the details are below. Let me know, if some people are going I will have more incentive to go. Also a good way to honor our fallen. http://www.ussalabama.com/press.php?press=136 FALLEN HEROES MEMORIAL CRUISE IN MOBILE, AL – On Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 9:00 – 3:00, the Gear Jammers Car Club of Baldwin County will host the 4th Annual Fallen Heroes Memorial Cruise-In at USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park. At 11:00 am there will be a program featuring several guest speakers, plus a special Vintage airplane flyover. The Gear Jammers Car Club is inviting all car club clubs and their members or individuals who own Street Rods, Classic Cars and Trucks to participate in this very important and worthy fundraising event. Planners are asking for a $10 donation from those who would like to register their vehicle for the Cruise-In. Dash plaques will be given out to the first 200 entries. The public is invited and encouraged to come out and see all of these great vehicles that will be on display. All money raised during this event will go to the Fallen Heroes Memorial, a memorial to be built and placed at USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park. This Memorial project was started by Nathan Cox, a former Marine Infantry Officer and Iraq veteran who has all to painfully had to deal with the loss of Marines and friends, and has also witnessed firsthand the toll it takes on their families and loved ones as they have to deal with the fact they’ll never see their son, brother, or father again. Nathan has made the commitment to make sure our fallen warriors have their names etched into eternity as a reminder what makes our country what it is and who has sacrificed to keep it that way. *Rain Date – Saturday, October 20, 2012
  16. He said he lives in Louisiana, all the roads are bad. I can make fun cuz that's where I'm from.
  17. 8,900 miles, that thing isn't even broke in yet. Good find for someone.
  18. Still sounds like you have a 2" shackle on the rear. I'm sitting at about 32" front and rear. I have a 4" hanger/shackle kit on the rear, 2" lowering spindles plus drop keys on the front and I have 22s too. I don't know what you have going on up front if you are running springs. They definitely did something to level it out though.
  19. To me it looks like you may have a 2" shackle on the rear with your keys turned down in the front just enough to level it.
  20. Welcome to the site. Looks like your truck might be lowered a little too. Good looking truck.
