  1. Hey man. Welcome to the site. I don't think the grill is too bad. I think I like it a little bit. You are right about the rims though. 22" reps are the way to go imho. Good luck.
  2. Hey everyone, I changed my screen name from ChriSS to BayouSS in order to reflect my southern heritage and SS pride. That's all. Oh, and I love my truck. Have a nice day.
  3. Did you buy from a dealer or a private party? I think the previous owner must have drove it pretty hard and not taken the best care of it. It's just gonna take some tlc to get it back into shape, oh and a little doe too. It'll be alright man. I can understand the disappointment though.
  4. Ok, well, I guess I'll be the first to say hell yes I would. I love my truck. Not only is it a bad ass truck, but there is just something about a man having a full size truck. If I didn't have my truck I would just feel like something was missing.
  5. Gotta love the blood stripes, I'm a Marine too.

  7. I am aware. I really want a 427 though. We'll see. Thanks.
  8. What are those going for? Price wise?
  9. That's pretty nice, tempting... Yeah, I came up with ChriSS on the fly. I will always know your sig pic. Thanks for everyone's input. I still have to think it over some more.
  10. I've been thinking about changing my screen name. I'm from Louisiana so I was thinking about changing it to Bayou SS, or Bayou_SS, or BayouSS, or something to that effect. I just wanted to know what you guys think. Should I keep it as ChriSS or change it? Thanks guys.
  11. I have an idea I think most would agree with. How about SSS emblem on back, Chevy bowtie on front left chest. Should suit everybody.
  12. Thanks for the inputs gents. No real show stoppers it seems.
  13. 43,2XX. No issues ever, but meticulously maintained.
  14. Ok, so other than the fact that a Corvette C6 Z06 LS7 427 engine costs about as much as a used SSS, are there any reasons I should not want to put one in my truck? I have a source that may be able to get me a really good deal on one out of a wreck and I'm trying to identify any issues before I get too excited about this idea. I have read several members here going with 408s, is there something about a 408 that makes them so popular? This won't be happening any time soon, unless I hit the lottery. Hopefully in the next 2-3 years. Thanks in advance. Chris
  15. One of my neighbors had them on his old truck, I believe it's like a 56. It looked pretty good, he had 20s. He took them off though because people kept telling him it looked ghetto. I would go with 22 reps before I went with the irocs, any day.
  16. Thanks for the pics man. I think I'm gonna modify that base bracket so that the whole assembly rotates forward. I don't like that little bit of rear clearance you have in 1 position.
  17. They both have exactly 5 spokes ; )
  18. I have that wheel/drop combo, but I have keys on the front too. Also mine is an SSS. I have several pics in my gallery if you want to check them out.
