  1. Im trying to get my mods that will be added this winter down pat, so when it comes to spending money I will not think twice. So here goes a question and dilemma.

I know OBX LT's have the benny of having hallow cats. The cost of these LT's are great for performance/bolt on and stainless stell, but I think it is widely known ARH has the best quality and the 3inch collectors.

My question is, has anyone added Magnaflow Hi-Flo Cats to the OBX headers? It almost seems backwards to do this, but I want to have cats. Just curious if anyone has added any type of cats to the OBX LT's.

Now here is the dilemma, I am using round numbers here. Say the OBX headers are $500-600. Add $330 (ish) per each cat and I am just about at the same price as ARH 1 3/4 LT's (I have not looked at the ARH LT's with cats, so I may be off on price a little).

As some of the members know, I cannot have a deep tone or loud exhaust due to migraine issues. This would be the reason for adding hi-flo cats to the OBX's and also keep the Corsa Sport as quiet as possible. My driving habits are like a 90 year old (except for few occasions where I hit WOT). So I know I can keep the Corsa quiet unless I want it screaming loud.

Anyone with OBX LT's please chime in on what you think of this situation. Also anyone with ARH LT's please chime in. If this header build winds up being the same price, it will be ARH. But then comes another question.....has anyone switched from OBX to ARH with a Corsa Sport? If so, what setup was more quiet? That is my goal. Obviously not having cats from the OBX's will make the truck louder, but just trying to seek input.

Thank you in advance and ask any questions if I have not been clear on this post. I have surgery at 1045am today and their cutting my face literally open like flaps to clean up carcinoma cells in my cheek and jawbone. Damn Insomnia is keeping me up so I thought I would write up this header question of OBX w/Hi-Flos (or just get the ARH's if price is the same).

  2. I will be sure to send him a message to see if he would like a picture of his car posted on ebay. You have to be one of the nicest and most respectful members on here and to see you and your truck used like that pisses me off, especially considering its a second time.

  3. Good stuff in this thread. I had my tranny fluid swapped at 51k (this was my weekly driver, not daily). Been in storage for awhile but condensation build up is a serious worry so I more than likely have to flush and will be doing the pan and filter. Im worried about it being a 2nd tranny flush and I am only at 64k and all the metal parts like Blown346 stated. Maybe a built tranny is in my future, that atf fluid acts like a detergent. Just have to get it down to a shop that Aldo went to and see what the trans guy recomends.

Let us know how she runs when you get your service done, I won't be doing mine for a bit.

  4. You could get OBX LT's, the install would put you over the $700 limit though. Add a 180 t-stat (Lingenfelter {my personal choice} or SLP have good thermo's) and you'll see some nice gains Im guessing right around 400hp. Not too modded, but a nice new tone to the truck and the headers are bolt-up.

What sway bars are you getting? DJM sways will not work with the Corsa exhaust, just want to let you know in case that was your plan.

I am the same way, I do not want a highly modded truck. I have decided on LT's (ARH or OBX), 180 Lingenfelter thermo, Volant ram cai with AEM dry filter, Belltech sways and possible leafs for static drop, Corsa Sport (or another exhaust that may be produced in the future, company is swamped now).

    Happy modding :chevy:

  5. Jeff, I don't have a chef. My mother and grandmother were personal best friends with Julia Child and my mom is close with Mary-Ann Esposito (she goes on tours in Italy with wine tasting contests and helps Mary-Ann cook). I just refer to my mom as "the chef" because people want to pay just to come over and taste her food. Problem is people steal recipes then go open pastry/baked good shops and make money off her personal recipes.

  6. Well your missing out this year bro there everywhere out there. A blind person can catch em. Yeah I actually like to cut them up dip them in egg n flour and fry them. Taste great that way.

That sounds tastey man! Im going to have to check up with the Chef and see if she has done that before.

I will ask my mother for the recipe and can PM it to you if interested Jason. -Andrew

  7. This reminds me of when my passenger door was slammed into a rock. POS kid promised to pay for the fix but when he returned to Maine the little sally wouldn't return my calls and basically hid. Classless people are popping up everywhere.

I am sorry to hear about this ding, I remember how pissed I was when my door was slammed. I left a graduation party because I simply could not "enjoy" the night anymore.

  8. My starting bid was $350, and was willing to pay up to $550, I hope that clears things up. You even said you did not respond so you honestly do not know what I was willing to pay. I was willing to work with you on price, but at $700 this could be just under a $2000 project as it will need paint and proper fitment.

Again, good luck with the sale. This is no bashing, just being honest.

  9. you said in a few months so hence no reply. Hey im open to offers but all I gotta say is try to find another and the other chance you can try to get a group buy together but good luck with that

No problem, I said a few months because I did not know my new garage size but I wanted to purchase it then, but with no response I just left it. I had cash in hand when I PMed you and a starting bid at $350 and never heard back (fluid conversations are key). I made it clear I would not pay Diesel Addict because he came to this site to make money off the pans. Id rather give the money to a member that is here more frequent, like you. I would offer you BSER's price, no more.

To clear up more info about this pan, is it painted? Where has it been stored (garage, basement, closet?)

Im sure a group buy will happen within the next year or so, the turnover of new members on here is big and they want rollpans. If it doesn't happen oh well. Good luck with sale.
