This is really getting me curious, maybe I have a tune and dont know it from the original owner.....my truck just hunts down the 330xi in 3rd gear, obviously the bmw gets the jump but 3rd is a dayum beast in my truck feels like its going to grenade through my hood. Ive also had to slow down when I saw a fellow member who had flowmasters, tune, and shift kit when we both floorred our SS' on an on-ramp to an Interstate so I didnt rear end him...I will find out soon enough though Im going for a dynapack tune this summer or fall and my mechanic was on here so he can probably tell if Im stock tune or not. Could you tell what year 328ia it was? Like brand new, newer, or 5 years old?

I would pay $50 gladly. Problem is Im dropping money into the truck as its being taking out of storage and I have to basically revamp the whole truck with fluids, filters, brakes etc. If one of you guys still has one f/s sale 1st week of May I will be interested. Ive already spent all my play money on insurance this month so it can be piggybacked/trailored to my buddys garage.

Is money an issue? I would go Billy Boat personally, Gibson Super Truck exhaust, Borla or Magnaflow also. I believe the Gibson ST side exit is the loudest (on a stock application its just around or above 95 decibals) or Borla XR-1s. These are all deep tone exhausts.

Turning 28 in the next couple months, got mine in August 2005 with 33,332 miles. Added 30,000 miles to it almost exactly since then, 2nd owner. edit - also met a member on here who worked at the dealership when I bought it, as he owns a Silvy SS also.

I was on track to get one, but damn medical bills robbed me so I gave I had to pass on the one I was planning to buy so someone else could buy it, didnt want to make Zippy wait for my next paycheck. Ive never seen those posters anywhere except from Zippy selling the lot he had and the one that was sold speaking on this thread. And Ive been creeping on the site since August 2005.

One thing I really like about the TVS 2300 is I was watching some car show on tv and they were saying that the TVS 2300 is the lightest supercharger on the market....then again they were installing it on a Mustang Im not sure if the 2300 has any differences for our trucks or cars....

Thats strange, my truck stays with my moms 330xi (take into consideration it is a 2005), however maybe it was the rwd that had alot more punch or the newer BMW engines with more ponies....

This may sound pathetic, but when have you had the truck last lubed up? I know when I go in and have service, and come back out and the truck is lubed up it drives alot tighter, sticks to the road alot more and can corner better. Call me crazy but I can notice these small little differences.

chawkins their is a member selling a complete cladding kit that is onyx black colored in the f/s section. Brackets and everything for $850, except the bumper..

Powdercoat them and be done, this just looks cheap, just my honest opinion. Im sure they do protect during the winter, but isnt that what the steel rims or a 2nd set of rims is for? To each their own as always...

Pascal, all AWD Silverdo SS trucks had 4.10 gearing so yes the front diff from Jasper should be 4.10, this is just one reason why it is very hard to find a front diff that will work on these trucks.

AC Delco Battery lasted me over 10 years, I am debating wether I should get a Pro AC Delco or just the regular stock Delco battery next month. Stock wires fit and are just as good if not better than the Taylor or MSD's imo. I keep hearing about the Taylors and MSD's having their issues.

Just like stated all SS' came factory with the 4L65e. The big dogs have upgraded to the 4L80e tranny which is costly. The paddle shift corvette 4L85e would be something interesting:peelout: Yup, right after Oshawa the Silverado trucks were then taking by train to another shop for the cladding, badging and all SS related stuff that seperates it from the other Silverado's. I also believe this is the only Super Sport Chevy has made that had a 2nd party do the SS work, someone please correct me if I am wrong but I remember reading about that on here like 5 years back.

Just throwing some ideas in on the totm, I wish we could go back to the original way with the winner writing up about his/her truck, when they bought it, how many miles, when what mods were put on, what they would change if anything and just alot more info about their truck and what makes it unique. I think a seasonal truck would be nice (spring, summer, fall, winter). More time for people to choose and nominate.

Exactly if you can go over 100 or 110 you have a tune. But also take into consideration that the 6.0 has more power than the 5.3 stock vs stock without a tune. I drove my siblings 5.3 in rwd and just had it sideways down the street because I was use to the my awd gripping on take-off, but this 5.3 had some giddy up do to the K&N FIPK and Gibson extreme duals. Now just dont go get arrested seeing if you have a tune

LA SS you have a great point, where all fam here and help one another out. It just irks me when one thinks their SS year is better than another, were all the same andnfrom the same GM family. to you LA SS for chilling me out bud Its been a long 72 hours being awake so I misread the certain quote, my fault and I would like to apologize.

Glad to see you sold your truck. The thing that irks me is these people joining just to buy to buy youtr truck, yet they dont have time to be on the site, only 4 sales. Screw them. Just ,my strong opinion. Glad you found a new buyer sir.

Not trying to give names up but liked stated "Idahobklss" has the white pirelli outlined tire and Ive been thinking of doing the same as I will need 2 new tires thi summer. Gives a nice little touch to the truck
