  1. The Pirellii ATR's I would also recoemend, had them a z-71 with 18 inch rims. However Cooper has some nice tires, just not sure if their seasonal or all year rubbers.

    Greenmtnss' Build

I would love to see what times this bada$$ pulls. Maybe a NorthEast record over BYN's or SmitL3's run on a SSS.
  4. Im sure enough anyone seriously interested in a DEi 06 would known this is bs, however the seller did highlight its DEI badgling even though he said its a DEI SS in the title. Oh well, I feel sorry for his knowledge on these trucks as he is wrong badly. Just hope knowone is taking advantage of
  5. off topic, but you should change your name to High Indensity One
  6. I have to agree thats where the Vmax's take the cake, less weight due to cladding. I just met a guy the other day who owns a construction company and he had a Vmax, now knows I own a SS and he offered me a job. He was on construction site daily and his truck looked mint. He is going to the man I recomended for a tune in the city, hopefully I get to line up with him at LVD this fall, he was very intrigued to know that I owned a SS Silverado
  7. Amen!!! He speeks the truth. His build shows whatsup. How is it coming along 2BFast (your build and completion)? PM me if you have a chance.
  8. Call me crazy but I can tell the difference in throttle response is better with 93 at Shell, Mobil or Sunoco than a Cumbys or BP. I only put in the no name brands once or twice but changed my fuel filter asap when I noticed the difference. And yes babying the truck along with the newer oil I added at the time it was a small but noiticable mpg/throttle response. Sunoco is now at $4.17 but I cant wait to fill this thirsty guzzler up!
  9. I will trade you some Idaho,MA patatoes for some Florida, MA oranges This summer is the time, we will catch up bro, my girl wants to go to the beach asap so when the truck is up I will let you know, just might need some help on a hotel in your area
  10. Beware of the trolls and goblins in dragon area, ugly sons of....... Where's my fresh oranges BigBlack!! You paaark the caaar in Harvaaaard Yaaaard, or shall we paaark it at the Gaaaarden? So I guess I live on the boarder of FL and the Midwest, saaaweeeeet, snow and sun! Oh wait, Im from Haaaarvaaaaard
  11. Now that is a true cure/implant that fits the diagnoses.
  12. Would like to congratulate the members who have b days today, especially one member who has had her truck through thick and thin and its still a gorgeous truck. I am truelly glad see someone stick by their SS like that, it is a beautifal truck I dont mention names but im sure the old school members know who it is.

Best Victory Red on the site, hows the rollpan going with the custom exhaust. Would love to see pics sir, you have a truck very worthy for totm, unless you have been before I joined in 2008. Keep the amazing work up sir!
  14. Blown346 is a true stand up guy. Its awesome to have someone like him around you to help find a SS worth its true value, if not a better price for you. GL on your search.

I vividly remember the commercials for these trucks, backing in and parking a horse trail in a tight corner. Strangely enoug my buddy had a 03-06 Denali with QS. Only thing I remember is smoking him around corners on back country roads as his had the higher stance compared to the Z06 suspension. His was more luxury with DVD headreasts and more creature comforts I would not like in the SS. But that QS is nice for tight parking spaces, but heard it had a bunch of problems.

    Tuner

As far as a tune, its only as good as the tuner himself. Obviously a live tune whether its dyno or street tuned, will get just a bit more outta your truck than a mail order, the only thing I see good with handhelds are being able to change your tire size/speedometer and clocking your times. I would just get a mail order if you have a cai and exhaust, their pretty much the same tunes. Edge Tuner, never heard of but dont waste your money, the mail order/live/dyno tuners on here have worked on these trucks a long time and are to the real deal. Havent heard one complaint. And they can adjust much more parameters than the handhelds. $380 is steep unless they are similar to Hp tuners or EFI Live.
  17. Sounds awesome buddy. But that TB spacer is a waste...imo. Lets hear some sound clips!!!
  18. I think the 408 will work. Once again I am not a tech in engine related stuff, just from what I have read. Yes spraying will get you their, but its all your preference sir. ps. to get 400hp to the wheels will require a good spray and a tranny built to withstand unless you get it tuned perfectley. I have been told 450-500hp is the limit of the 4L65E's pending certain mods, some have had their tranny crap out at cai's and basic bolt-ons, others are running serious numbers with built trannys. Part of this is all talk now from the dealership my fam has been going to for 40 years, not experience. They treat me well, but luckily I found a member on here who worked on my truck since I bougyht it, he is great with these trucks.
  19. To be honest it didnt go far as within the next day or so SAE bought the DEI SS wings. I would have parted with them cheaper than what they have them now, about $25-40 less. I am not hear to make $$$$ only to help out fellow SS owners as they have helped me. Time has passed and now Im into a dynopack awd for Northeast/Mid-Atlantice owners.
  20. Its sad, my own dealership didnt know they made a DEI SS Silverado until I told them and gave them part numbers. Oh well, I guess it means they werent the top dealership in MA. Only the big dogs know, etc.... got the real deal DEI SS info. When I told my dealerhsup about about the ISS wing awhile back and they told me they were backordered before the spot in MI got the wings, I was all good to give the wings at a cheap price.
  21. Oh ya?!?!?! I have another idea in mind if my tonnaue is sold, so it might just be, PM me Millerbro. I have to talk to my mechanic and see what he has to say first about another tonneau.
  22. Yes I am a little slow tonite, too many beers. Long Tubes, CAI, free flow exhaust and tune will net you around 400hp. The remaining question is do you want 400hp to the wheels or crank?
  23. PM me bud. I might be willing to part with mine for the right price. I might be taking a trip down to see some other members near South Beach later this year. This tonneau is no longer made. Im also Czech my friend.
  24. Glad to see you could fix 'er up with nothing major being done.
  25. Holy jezus! You guys are crazy. Blow some valves in your heart? Just kiddin buds. Go slap around some L's or Srt-10 Rams RCSB. Im ciked to hear you like your radix buddy, I hope to add some heads later this fall, not sure on installation time, and then a f/i system. Ive been stock since 2005, I am encouraged I know the limits of the truck stock so mod by mod, I will make it a killah year by year. May be a slow process, but worth seeing how much mod can increase some hp.
