  1. Well I joined in 8-2008 but lost my password so had to re-register in 8-2009 and just noticed Im at 2000 posts on this certain name. Im guessing I shoud be around just under 4000 posts under both names. Learned alot from the members I have been paying attention to since I was lurking in late 2005 when I first got the truck and wow, the site has changed. Just want to say thank you to certain members again as you have been the extremely helpful and kind to me and my very little knowledge of these trucks. I may have asked tedious questions, but it is very much appreciated as I am a new to high hp trucks (yes even stock this truck is balls to the wall for me but its time to step it up sometime soon). JKP Sick03SS Sprayed99 2BFast Tanks Owner Zippy Sniper in the Shadows Bad Ass Silvy and many more thanks to those I have forgotten, its been a long day in the hospital.
  2. Either let it sleep another year or just get it running on stock setup (ssbc brakes, otherwise stock). Alot of variables go into this such as me purchasing another Sss truck and other goodies that tune the truck. Long tubes are in a plan along with Corsa Sport, but might have to due Xr-1s just to change it a little bit until the money comes rolling in.
  3. 10 years out and Im still being diagnosed after a major wreck with irreversible injuries that surgery cannot fix. This member speaks the truth. Statute of limitations have been thrown out the window, sucks for the opposing party. I cant get into details due to court reasons but I plan on having a collection off SS trucks when Im done in court along with an AWD dyno.
  4. Damn you. I am happy but sad at the same time. Only memeber Ive met besides Boothy but you both are now gonzo! Looks like I will be a stranger at LVD or just not show up....The MA crew is growing thin. Lets get a trailer and I will tow your BBC up to LVD once Im tuned and see what Tanks owner thinks I should do with the tranny if I were to tow your BBC. Go get what you stated were your plans to me the other day! Hope all is well with your growing family Jesse. Will never forget that get together at Heberts bro Remember my sales brochure flying out my window once we jetted out the parking lot? And I had to tell you to wait at the stop light? Good times man. I will still seek your advice. Brakes are coming up pending shoulder surgery.
  5. Kim, I have to give you alot of respect for sticking with your truck. Not shedding details but glad to see such a loyal SS owner through the situation you had
  6. 91 or 93 is only 10 cents more and like explained GM only recomends those grades gasoline, dont see the use in possibly wrecking your engine on 87 over 10 cents less per gallon. Ive come across 92 when my light was on empty and still drove another 5 miles just to get Sunoco 93. Only Shell 93, Sunoco 93 or Mobil 93 used. I wish we had 94 available here....
  7. edit - I just found this quote from a thread, is this enough info to get me the right 13inch front setup? Just need some help, I am not good with this stuff, only basic bolt ons.....sorry for the repeated posts I just want to get these brakes together as Im buying them piece by piece and need them done by May. Thank you all for your time and those who input KCKid - "the caliper brackets sell for $19.99ea at autozone. all the parts can be bought from autozone. be sure to get the rotors for a ss with drums on the rear. because the rotors are 330mm outside diameter compared to the ones with rear disk are 305mm"
  8. Anyone? I really dont want to have to pawn these to get money for my brakes.......these are perfect winter rims 18x8.5......
  9. Ive been looking for a couple days, and cannot find the part numbers for the 06 front brake upgrade for my 03 SS. I know this has been covered a couple times, but I have searched and exhausted myself to the point I dont know where to search next. I know the dealer will ask for a VIN, which I dont have for this upgrade. So here are the choices I found on stylintrucks.com, it even says that some rotors are made for our SS with the Hydraulic Power Brakes? Thought the SS only came stock with Vaccuum brakes? If anyone could please double check if they have part numbers handy, it would be very much appreciated. Getting my truck back on the road after quite some time and I need to start purchasing brakes asap once I get the PN's squared away. It might even help to make this thread a sticky, I feel bad as I know these part numbers are on the site but I cant find them through multiple searches. So here are the options for front 13inch front rotors on the 2006 trucks, Im guessing they will all work/fit on the 03? I will be also looking for the brackets, calipers and pad numbers. Thank you in advance gentlemen Rotors http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts/ac_delco_disc_brake_rotor/ACBR7113.aspx?attributes=1104000090_4294857287 Calipers (I believe I need the loaded ones correct?) http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts/ac_delco_durastop_remanufactured_brake_caliper/ACDBR7581.aspx?attributes=1104000090_4294857287 Anyone have bracket part numbers? Cant seem to find those...I surely dont feel like an elite member asking these questions I just dont want to bug my mechanic as he is extremely busy, just want to get the parts with the truck into him and get the truck running again.
  10. Had that happy many times. Kid followed me through 3 towns after telling him I dont race on roads, only at a track but he insisted on trying to fight me. Called my buddy at his restaurant and he got a bat out on the civic kid (called ahead of time before arriving) and the fart can turned around in the parking lot seeing the louisville, revving his fart can with his gay stereo turned all the way up, with every bolt rattling in the car . Guess hes never heard of dynomat. Even the mini van owner watching was laughing at him. Its funny how they say they will "beat your a$$ and your pos truck" yet he now hides from me. Some people just never grow up. I dont fight, as I am permanently handicap, but my friends take care of me.
  11. Their was a study also that a % of Mustang drivers are pedophiles or sex offenders, no bs.
  12. When I brought my truck to a reputable glass shop they said they could not tough it if the gel was oozing out as stated. I went to the dealership (which my family has gone to over 50 years, so they wont screw me, I get to watch my truck being fixed) they said if the gel is oozing you need a whole new mirror. Also my brackets behing the glass were broken, so that is also a big factor. Might want to try the new glass and see if it works instead of dropping $800 on a new mirror first. I was lucky enough to come across a mirror on here recently as I have been waiting to get a used mirror since 2006? No way I was dropping 8 bills on a new one when I am going to have both mirrors painted and rid the plastic parts on them. Keep your eyes peeled at the junkyards if just the glass doesnt resolve the issue.
  13. Considering the milage, and how old your truck is I would say that would be expected. My stock brakes lasted up to 64k, but has been in storage since 2008. I have no complaints about the stock setups. Ive heard and been told by a couple mechanics that own these trucks and have BBK's that the BBK's will rott or worp quicker than the stock Delco's/Durastop. Ive spoken to guys on here with 120k miles on their stock brake setup from factory. Is your storage area very moist? I think it might just be from not driving it much, which is highly respected to keep it a low milage SS but the rotors are going to rot or worp sooner or later with minimal driving. Just my 2 cents from the research I have done about brakes, I was thinking of doing R1 Concepts, EBC, and multiple other brands but Im just going back to stock with some upgrades like S/S lines and Motul Brake Fluid.
  14. Getting my brakes together for spring summer and fall
  15. If you could get some LQ9 6.0L badges made I would take 3, Im sure others would be interested as stated earlier in the thread. I just dont want to add a Pro-Charger badge and make the fellow SS owners look stupid since I am stock and if I did go to the track that would be downright embarressing. Let me know!
  16. Please dont say your wife or gf has the other pair in jar....... I dig those colors alot, hope they bring you some strikes !
  17. Bumpity bump, I had an offer for 650 last fall but the kid went MIA for some issues.
  18. bumpity bump. I would jump on this but I have no purpose for BBK like this setup.
  19. Can you see the gel from underneath the glass oozing out? Stick with one of these guys if the gell isnt oozing out (or you will need a whole new mirror), I went to multiple glass shops and they didnt carry the fully loaded SS mirror glass.
  20. Love the collection you got going Niko. So which one gets the garage Hope to meet you this fall if you make it to LVD, -Andrew
