  1. Out of the speedo kits, I like the stainless steel guage with the blue background. I do like the LED swap, but Ive seen pics of the speedo kit in the SS (with the blue background) and it is quite impressive, just as much as the LED swap.
  2. Im with Eerkroar, but if Corsa knows its for a Silverado SS I wouldnt be suprised if their hesitant to ship it out, I stand by my word these are made for the 5300 Vortecs. They may fit the SS but were made for the 5.3 litre engine. Just voicing what I was told by the dude at Corsa. And 05_silver_SS talking about the piping used and grades is correct. I was also told that. Maybe a tuner can chime in and see what they have seen about these exhausts and give us first hand knowledge. Regardless, good luck with your issues and I hope it is resolved quickly so you have a new exhaust soon.
  3. stock gets me laid....its the appearance that grabs all the milfs attention really hard in the city. Wether their 30 something up to 50 something which is kinda
  4. how manmy miles do you have on your truck? You have to be carefull adding f/i are trucks at a certain milage. You need to clarify more what you want. How many times you going to the track? You worried about tuning? Some systems are fidgity and require dead on tuning, those are the ones usually putting out more power. The mp112 is a great supercharger and with the right mod setup will have you knocking on the 11 second 1/4 mile door as one members truck was. He just sold his truck and had a 12.1 1/4 I believe. If money is no issue shit just go big with the 4L80 and Procharger.
  5. I just found my new tires thanks to you! Just hope they have them for 18s, I doubt they come in 20s but I dont care if I downsize to my 18s. Sick truck man and thank you
  6. I dont drive mine in the winter or rain, but these are my 2nd set, looking to sell also as they would be perfect winter rim and clearance for a BBK (Big Brake Kit) setup. American Racing Torque Thrust ST 18inch rim. Anthracite with chrome lip.

    Battery

AC Delco stock or AC Delco Pro Series. I was thinking Optima but heard of some issues with them. My AC Delco lasted from 03 to 2011 February. Driven about twice a week from 2005-2008, and started once a week to clear the exhaust and keep the battery still charged from 08-last February.
  9. PM please Shawn -Andrew edit - black with silver logo and white with black SS logo. $60 isnt bad for the original hat compared to what the Boston Bruins fans had to pay for a hat that was made in Bandgladesh and falls apart within weeks. Would want one in both sizes, which would be 4 hats in total or I might just do 2, not sure at this point yet.

    Storage

Mice my bad. Thank you for the firewall recomendation VRSS, Ive got a boatload of rat poison around the truck also, always have since I owned it in 05. Im just taking it to a new level this winter with downy sheets and maybe some moth balls. Thank you guys I aprreciate it alot.
  11. With these trucks being stolen so much and somewhat hard to find in great condition, I would only purchase one from a dealership or one from a reputable member on here (but that would be hard to test drive if not in the same region). Glad to see you got the info. G/L man. And I hope the Pats and Saints make the SB, would be a helluva game

    Sss Vs Tbss Vs Wrx

Yup, those are beasts. My buddies black on gold rims kept up with kis fathers Twin Turbo 911 (the older STI versions we are speaking off). Damn scary riding passenger when those two were driving their respective cars together having fun.

    Sss Vs Tbss Vs Wrx

WRX or WRX STI? The normal wrx isnt too impressive, yet a strong little car. The STI is a dayum beast. edit - was it a newer WRX? The 03-05s are faster than the newer ones that are hatchback style.
  14. Go to the dealership and have it checked out. Its too easy to swap clusters and not change the milage and you get screwed. I would go for the 06 that 03 is going to need service and alot of it. Wouldnt be suprised if air bubbles have developed insided the fluids. And its in Houston, why doesnt he drive it a bit more? It just raises questions imo seriously. The 06 is so much more desirable but I would want the fully loaded truck like the 03s came. edit - also the awd SS was mainly built for the Northeast, Chevy didnt think these would sell in the south so they made the VHO. However they were wrong. I dont see the point of having awd where it never snows, unless you street race which I never, ever do. Bringing it to the track is a different story. But 2wd makes more sense to me. Either way g/l with the new truck. Plus I would rather have the newer year model. The black 06s are a rare breed along with black 07s which are the most rare color next to the 04 AB.

    Storage

So I was throwing downy sheets all over inside my engine bay and around the outside of my truck so I keep those rat bastards away from the truck. Are their any key spots I should put them near? I stuffed my exhaust tip with paper towels and a downy sheet, put 4 sheets in my engine bay (battery, engine cover, intake box, and one near the latch). I also threw one under each front wheel. Any other spots I should go cover? Should I throw more underneath the front? Should I add more near the rear diff and exhaust? Any input is welcome, Im not a storage guru. I will be purchasing a california car cover also im tired of cleaning the dust of the paint.....
  16. Probably need a new fuse or whatever that powers the seat heater and memory positions.....to the dealership you go. Or try the search button this was just brought up recently. The search button is your best friend.
  17. If you noticed in the 4th quarter after he had the 29 yard sack for a loss, he was kneeling and he saw the air camera just staring at him, he got up and walked away. Damn media coverage. Those sports guys are worse than an 80 year old granny sewing circle talking about town gossip.
  18. Saweet tires. I want to add some really nice tires down the line exactly like these, stupid question but are these legal for street use or just track use (my truck does not see rain or any elements except some sun)? Im still learning alot about drag racing vs street use. Thank you sir. I love the phrase "wheel hop from hell"
  19. If your using this as a trailering vehicle, you really couldnt have a better truck imo. The awd beats the 4x4 imo hands down. But if your only trailering in dry summer type conditions its no biggy and awd is not necessary. Ive seen videos where trucks where trying to pull their boats off loading ramps and all 4 wheels spinnning and SS to the rescue with its awd. Just food for thought. Also Ive driven in state of emergencys and saw local and state 10 wheelers, Z-71s deep into the woods far off the road and I was still going the speed limit (55-65mph) on stock crapyear tires. edit - Mr 3/4 ton SS hit the nail on the head. Whoever said remove the cv joints, you would have blown numerous parts and your drivetrain would have been fudged.
  20. I wanted to ask what you were using as detail products but didnt want you to publicly spill the info. I love how you have the Pirelli's with the white name, definitley a unique touch and I might be doing the same as well this spring, I expect my crap LS2's to have flot spots, if not I will have to wear them out. Then again Im stock so its not like grip is a problem.
  21. I hope another hot a$$ cali girl or girls!!! Cant wait for the calender bud
  22. You will love the SS. When I was looking and deciding between an Audi S4, M3 (same year) and Silverado SS it was a no brainer and SS ftw. My moms bmw has half the miles (3 series awd) and it is always having issues, she will be selling it and I hope to purchase another SS on here f/s.
  23. Tabbs, he has helped me out on my brake issue which I never even knew/noticed or heard. Wasnt anything to the point where I had to stop driving, but he pointed it out quickly when I 1st met him. I baby my truck to the point I get made fun of constantly. Take it ez, the last thing you want is an accident or some costly repair.
  24. 1 or 11. That truck is damn clean.
  25. Great find, I will need new brakes this spring as mine have rotted from storage. Might be a guinea pig on these, hope they make them for our trucks. I need more stopping power so I might have to hydroboost with these new rotors.
