  1. Bridgestone Blizzaks. Ran a Z-71 that was 4x4 in 2wd pruposely during a heavy snow storm here 2wd because it was more fun than 4x4 and the Duellers held up great. The Blizzaks will get you around even better, wether you choose to go with just a rear setup or all 4 corners.
  2. Members like him keep the real good original members like you away
  3. what rear diff did you go with? A tru-trac upgrade? Beef it up to the 14 bolt? or stock awd 10 bolt?
  4. Still interested, had to buy an essential part to pass inspection. Lets figure out how much shipping is to me from your spot. Pm sent.

    What Size Cam?

I am going to try to explain my situation after the explanation from 2 very respectable members on here. I want more power but dont want to change my TC. I want a friendly daily driver. From what I have learned you go big or go home. Unless you are satisfied with gains that are not the best bang for your buck. I wanted a very mild cam so I wouldnt have to change internals, but that wasnt happening. So I am stuck between forced induction or going on a big cam with a TC stall. Im not use to having power all of a sudden hit and bam off like a bat outta hell, as my previous cars were a geo prizm and chevy s10 (119 hp prizm and s10 4 cylinder). Im sure their is a setup that you will be happy with, but just like 03silv stated its better to go big than go home because itll be a waste. You will need supporting mods to make that puppy breathe like state (long tube headers). Once you swap a cam, your getting into alot more mods to support it breathing more air into the engine. I am not nearly as knowleadgable as the other members who have chimed in, but I wanted the same thing and have learned to not do it, jmo. Nonetheless great luck with whatever way you choose.
  6. I cannot answer your question, but ditch that and go get a tune from Zippy, Wheatley, blackbear. Your gains will be noticeable.

    Headers

Best bet is to save up more coin and purchase the Supermaxx Dynatech System or American Racing Header system (I havent seen them under 1 grand but their right above that price). The ARH has 3 inch collectors which is better for more flow=more power with supporting mods. The supermaxx system is great also, but has 2.5inch collectors. You could go with the OBX Dynatech system which is similar to the supermaxx but has hallowed out cats....Pays to play

    Headers

Your main question should be how much your budget is for headers, have to pay to play. Also what headers you want? shorties? Mids? Long Tubes? Search button is your best friend along with looking at other previous threads.
  9. To each his own, I would never tow with my SS...
  10. That is a great price, that inclue trading the core in? I am going AC Delco Pro Series, mine lasted from 03-09 and the Pro series I believe you can get 5,6, and 7 year batteries.
  11. My next move in the spring. Was thinking a static drop but am putting that on hold.
  12. I saw him in October when we had the halloween snowstorm down here in MA. He pulled a burnout at a red light turning left......just shows the stupidity of the kid. A truck like that not lowered and a short wheelbase (unlike an ECSB or QC) is prone to flipping unless your an experienced driver and at 19, he isnt their yet. edit-Ive also seen him around here in the winter, i guess i should clarify snow as in winter season. My bad.
  13. I completely understand where the drone kicks in at low rpms like 2000-2500 rpms pending exhaust. I dont drive my truck hard and often criticized why I got such a performance truck when I baby it. I usually keep it under 2000rpms on back roads so I know drone is often high with certain systems around that rpm. Hence I think the Corsa is my best bet. Only time I open the truck is on on/off ramps and on the highway and make her scream hard. The more I think, Corsa is my answer. I do plan on future mods but their are so many different ways to go Im not thinking about that yet. Just the exhaust. Cant wait to hear the vids when you have time man
  14. Holy crap, I swear Ive seen that truck in my town, young driver also and exact color SRT-10 Ram with NH plates. And he was driving it in snow which most srt-10 owners never do......some young drivers need accidents to make them slow down and not think their invincible to harm. Why I never drive my SS hard unless it would be at the track. Just hope he doesnt have permanent injury.
  15. I am collecting brake parts, so you will have a job and I will pay you (06 front, stock 03 rears). Trying to alleviate Big Ben of some tediouis stuff as mine needs a good overhaul. You will always have a SS to drive in my truck after doing some goody additions edit-when the chevelle is done you will have to bring it out to play even though I will only see your bumper
  16. Its worth the pain and aggervation to have it done right like a guru you have been suggested to see where you are now.
  17. Just make sure the wax hazes over, it may be hard to hand buff out, but well worth the time and elbow grease. Show some pics when your done bud
  18. Blackbox is good, top of the line next to Zymol for store bought products that are priced low. Then its the big dogs like Adams and Zaino that are not store bought products. And know its not too late, may not get optimum results but just do it panel by panel and make sure you do it with precision. I use to wash my truck in below freezing temps and came out immaculate. My method, panel by panel with 2-3 wash buckets to make sure no junk scraped my paint. My question is do you have a garage to do it in? edit-sorry I didnt read that you had the garage, yes you should be fine, but just do it panel by panel, will take a long time but will get you the best results in this weather.
  19. X2 KelleyPerformance. Im ordering parts from him to ship up here in the spring.
  20. Then they make you go to the dr and find nothing wrong and your in deep doo doo. My head was wedged between a windsheild and dashboard and need neck surgery but mortality rate is over 60%. Not funny, I wouldnt wish the neck pain and migraines I have to go through on my worst enemy.
  21. Thank you bud, it never crossed my mind to add dynomat in the interior, that is a good idea. I will be adding some PPI component speakers and maybe a JL audio w7 woofer which would require dynomat, but I dont listen to my stereo loud at all due to the same reason, brings on migraines. I will have to check up on the thrush glasspacks and listen to sound clips. I have to say Im jealous you've had so many exhaust setups, always good to switch it up and have a nice new tone to the truck. Once Im on the road we will have to meet up again, I passed by Heberts the other day with my girl and brought back the car show memory
  22. I love magnaflow but the tone is too deep. I would have to add resonators or maybe an X pipe to quiet it down. So its just Corsa or maybe the Borla XR-1. I want the used Corsa I was speaking of, but when its all said and done it might be costing me as much as a new sport system with all the pipe and fab work I will want done. So its either 2 Borla XR-1's SI/SO in replace of the stock or Corsa Sport wether it be the used one or just wait till I can drive and get a new Sport system. Thank you man, I do love the magnaflow but I know its too much deep toned and will bring on a migraine.
  23. I would trade it in for a 2wd SS, your tearing apart a perfectly great truck. You dont see an awd truck everyday...jmo but to each his own.
  24. It would not suprise me in the least if Denver pulls it off, they just beat the best defense in the NFL......The patriots are going to have to put up some serious points to win and not allow 5 chunk yardage runs by McGahee or its all Broncos. Last game they were up 17-3(?) at halftime and Tebow is only getting better.
