  1. according to wikipedia only the Intimidators had the suspension difference like BroBrad agreed. The stock height on 05s seem the same when I was next to one, but who knows if their a bit stiffer. I just cant do a 2/2, not my thing nor do the frost heaves and bumps here take them well. I believe it was just the 1st half production SS' were AWD, and 2nd half were RWD. Thus making the 2006s a special truck. I wish I could get my hands on an 06 black or 07 black truck but Krambo's is my concentration now. Thank you sir so much again
  2. On the real, Im 50% Austrian call me out 4 security just pay my train ticket and some grub.
  3. I would add it to my signature, but that would be with my stock SS if I happen to purchase another one I am considering. Ive seen many members add it to their sig. It also depends on how much you want your truck advertised or being "flashy."
  4. Thank you so much sir, I cant say enough how much it is appreciated. I heard of a guy stealing VINs in NY that transferred them onto Canadian vehicles that were fakes. One reason I did not want to ask for a VIN on a collectible SS truck. But since it is totalled, to you my friend. Thank you again so much. I look forward to this suspension, should help the awd out in corners and that is where I rage my truck. edit - you got me pumped, im calling my dealership tommorow. Heck they never heard of the DEI SS, I might have a job at the end of the day behind the parts counter tomm
  5. the build section is in hiding afraid your coming back with a bigger setup Helluva setup you have
  6. as much as i dont like a 4.8 in a SS truck, have to give them props for cracking 10 seconds. I always see a certain tuner talking about 4.8 vortec and certain setups. Does the 4800 vortec weigh that much less than the VHO LQ9 to get it in those numbers?
  7. yes i do want krambo's truck, but that is between himself and I. I just think the appearance mods should stay with the DEI SS, everyone lowers these trucks. But to to add DEI SS appearance package i think destroys the value of a true Intimadator, like slapping on an M3 badge on a normal 3 series car. The aftermarket parts are to low, the DEI SS is not at a 2/2, I believe, I am not 100% sure. Im facing shoulder reconstruction, elbow and wrist surgery. Timing isnt great, but his one of a kind truck is worth pursuing no matter what condition I am in. Even if I did purchase his truck I wouldnt say anything until a few months later or maybe anything at all, I dont want a high profile truck as that known where it is
  8. glad to see you doing this up Mark with Matt. If I can help please let me know. Looks like their is interest gathering.
  9. thank you brobrad I will try to hunt down some part numbers however my dealership never heard of the DEI SS until I brought it up, at least in the Silverado edition (they had alot of DEI SS Monte Carlo editions). I dont want to ask for VIN numbers, hopefully i can just hunt down the parts at the dealerships computer somehow.
  10. Polish, sealant and haze swirl remover for my xmas gift. Jesse let me know how it holds up to these conditions please
  11. Yes they are contoured. Those are the ones that go best on the trucks. I also agree you should run flaps they save so much salt/sand spray. If you want to go even further to protect your paint get the Lund plastic running boards, you would be suprised how much they keep junk off the paint with the mud guards. Can always take the running boards off for summer. I know I will be adding them to my truck and will probably get flack for it but its easier on my hip and I think itll add a nice touch with the lights on the running board when you use the remote start. Good luck with new flaps
  12. Thank you sir, i will want this mirror. Just want to see all the pics. It does have the puddle light correct? As I believe all 03 models had them....
  13. Could anyone with a DEI SS please PM me or just post the part numbers for the stock suspension on your Intimidator? Thank you in advance
  14. if your confident enough, you can get paint from the dealership and do it yourself. Tape off like previously stated, and get a felt tip match. Use the felt end and apply the paint with that. Could also be a little temp fix until you get it professionally done.
  15. Love your truck buddy, sounds mean and that takeoff at 50 seconds in the 2nd video was nice. Very tasteful mods. I am not a fan of dropping these trucks but I have to say your 4/4 is a thing of beauty. Very clean also. edit - wat size rims are those in your avatar or signature is it? They dont look like 20s but I could be wrong, just curious as I have 18s, and if you have 18s in that certain pic you might have just convinced me into a 4/4 drop and my American Racing rims.
  16. Pictures of the driver side mirror? Dont want to be $700+ at the dealer....
  17. I am with you Jeff, was hoping this would have been jumped one earlier but thought I would get the ball rolling as its December basically. I think it can be done, in time, but some serious crunch time. Luckily I have too much time on my hands so I can help and hope to have these done before xmas if working with the others.
  18. Are the scratches down to the bare metal? If its just a surface rub it should be able to be buffed out. BTW I like the SS Silverado emblems where the Z-71 stickers go, unique to your truck only on the site from what I have seen.
  19. Only SS trucks from this site would be the plan.
  20. I can get each month squared away with each truck, we will have nominations. I just need someone who has a connect to getting some quality paper like in the previous calenders and who is willing to put it together when I get the trucks for each. Some rules I thought of: 1. cannot have same color SS consecutively 2. one month might be a heavily modded SS, next month just a clean truck with bolt-ons and some apperance mods 3. If you drive your truck year round and in the winter, you will be featured during winter months. The summer only trucks would be summer-fall months just ideas....
  21. Just wondering if calenders are being thought of yet for 2012. Have about a month to put it together in December so we could get them out to members in January. Ive done my own truck calender but its just simple paper, not store quality. Wondering if anyone is interested in this, we could vote the trucks in each month (which I could help easily on) except I am not good at the production part of the calender. Especially with some trucks up for sale and ones that have been sold, I hope to make this a little tribute to those members and show the newbies what we use to have going on the site when I first joined. Let the ideas fly gentlemen and ladies...
  22. Temp shouldnt be a concern, you might have to go panel to panel and like NashSS said get 2 buckets to get that sand and other grimey crap off your wash mitt. I usually have 2 hoses going, one with hot water one with cold. hot washes the mittt and takes teh sand off well. The cold is to wash each panel and then I immediately wash/scrub it, then hose it down again then dry it immediately so no ice forms. edit - regular waxes and details should also help the sand wash right off, salt is a little tougher.
  23. I use to drive mine out back to my yard and wash it in below 20 degree weather with snow. Your hands will take a severe beating. Lucking I had 2 hose outlets installed in my garage next to my truck and have drains and a slight slope to help drain the water however, their is always water left over. I pull my truck out where there is only snow, no sand or salt and just broom the water out. Perfecto!
  24. and the good thing is that it would wind up in a great home, garaged, barely driven only during summer and fall. Might have to lower my asking price on my truck that has been barely over 3500 rpms and babied, but 4 Krambo's truck Im looking at everything possible. I dont want to sell my 4 model trains but they can net me an extra couple grand, but theirs only 25 in the world made, but only one of Krambo's legendary SS.
  25. glad to hear that made her day buddy. Just explain that the other sweety (the SS) needs attention to cleaning after winter drives, theirs always exceptions to take it out during the winter (christmas light displays 4 me back in 2006).
