  1. Sat in the passenger seat wishing I could drive (shoulder, wrist, elbow). Took out the California car duster to just touch up the roof, tonneau cover and hood. Also stuffed the exhaust tip so no dirty rat tries to sneak in and wreack serious havoc.
  2. Ever get choose a rear diff cover? I read your opening thread and I dont think GM changed them for the awd trucks, so you should be set with a 10 bolt you have found. Please dont hold me to this, but I think they should work. I like the TA cover but dont want to dish out the money for it. If you happen want to share the rear diff covers you came across with drain holes I will be doing a complete maintenance of my truck this coming spring and every penny counts. Feel free to PM me sir. Glad to see you go with the Fast products, they look amazing and cant wait to see your new times sir. -Andrew

    Some of MA's finest
  4. Might want to look into a new muffler, the stock one is di/do, however when you cut it open only one pipe goes through, and the other just stops. I am not good with the terminology but it is not a true di/do muffler like you would buy from magnaflow.
  5. Krambo's is listed, here in MA we have lost 2 members that are regualrs (sick03ss-for sale, 1stimessguy-sold). Hankg42 sold his. Its getting sad, all the originals are selling their trucks its kinda strange. We still get the everyday "which exhaust should I get question," I cant complain because I posted today about true duals vs. single in/single out corsa muffler. Still have the record holders here which is great and hope that doesnt change.
  6. I think the AR TT ST rim looks best on our truck, next to Krambo's no longer made rims and Hanks BBS Rims. Then stock. Hank how many years did you use your rims in the winter? Mine are in mint condition and trying to sell them.
  7. Glad to see you swing back by, not sure if you remember me or not but spoke briefly on chatbox or something like that when I first joined in 2008. Glad to hear Howie is doing well, live, prosper and move on! Site has been changing alot with new owners and a flood of east coast guys selling their trucks. Good to hear from ya, and good health to you and Howie -Andrew
  8. Im sorry I never got you to the truck of the month final voting round. One of the classiest trucks on this site but nobody would vote it into the final round, maybe they just didnt look at my link I posted but damn I wanted that vehicle. My truck is still up for sale but I think that yours is now gone I have no motivation to sell mine, yours was the truck I wanted. Im sure you had a lot of great memories with that truck, I will still nominate you one more time in hopes people see how classy this truck really is Nate. I am sorry we could never get the deal done, -Andrew
  9. everything depends on if my girl works fri sat, but if its only us 2 bud lets make a big get together in the spring. Lets a get a record number of SS' out. I am looking at houses that has acreage so we can have good photoshoots.
  10. I found a core cheaper with no tune. Thank you.
  11. Only one girl? come on.................. well i guess 1 is ok
  12. I press the gas pedal all the way to the floor and count 1thousand, 2 thousand, then let go and do it twice more. You will also hear a chime and the DIC will reset like Bad Ass Silvy stated.

    Exhaust

I got my info mixed up Hank, was a late night. I cant believe the Sport is less expensive than the touring. I will indeed check their site out. Hope you got to see the Denali on the dyno on Facebook i posted (601hp haymaker). edit- make sure you get some noise clips of your truck!

    Exhaust

Thank you Hank, eekroar pointed me to them. I just couldnt believe the Sport is more than the touring, have to be carefull if I want to add LTs or I will be a police magnet. I believe the total was about $705-715 or right around their for the sport system. I will have to check out the Denalis on youtube with Corsa systems
  15. i know my American Racing rims fit on 99-02 Sierra's, and guessing they will on the 99-02 Silverado also, vice versa (rims off those older trucks should fit on ours just brake clearance might be an issue). Im just not sure about the new nnbs trucks and their lug patterns.

    Exhaust

I didnt want to really ask this as everyday an exhaust question is brought up. But it just seems easier with the Corsa system. I guess if I were around Chase or Krambo's times, then I might really want to look into the exhaust but Im not touching 10s, maybe high 12s down the line. Thank you 2BFast
  17. So I have chosen between the Corsa system and Billy Boat. Ive decided since the truck is not driven so much I should be able to handle the B&B system. Now onto the more important question, true duals Billy Boat vs. si/si out Corsa. What are the benefits of true duals vs si/so, and what are the drawbacks? I know true duals will weigh more as their will be more piping and 2 mufflers. Would true duals be a better setup down the line when I do a build? After I am done with bolt-ons its onto the engine internals so I am just wondering if the true duals helps the engine breathe better, or is it just an option and wont see any more gains than a single in/single out Corsa? Also curious if its alot harder to add LTs with true duals, I know you can fab some pipeing up but jus thinking of possible issues that could arise that being an amateur with these trucks still Im trying to gain all knowledge possible before I get my feet wet. Its been a great 6 years stock, but time to step it up when I am healthy again. All input/knowledge is appreciated and welcome. Thank you all in advance
  18. Sertiously. The one in Ohio was at a prestigious corvette dealer and mostly they had collectible vettes ranging from anniversary editions to pace cars. The manager has no idea about the SS truck, didnt know it was awd or anything. Said it was a "Pace Truck" but I set him straight on that. Asked him for undercarriage pics and it was a complete rust bucket, disgusting. He then sold it to a used dealership the next town over, I called the used dealership up because he had it posted also as a "Pace Truck" and told him the story about the other salesman being prude and basically took him saying it was a Pace vehicle when it wasnt. He wasnt too happy but very nice that I let him know what was up. Heres the ID for parade truck #15, they have each parade truck numbered under the rear license plate. edit-sorry to hijack your thread quicksilvers, my bad.
  19. I want to say late last fall/winter or early spring this year. It was brought up when I found parade truck #15 in Ohio, then all of a sudden 2 more were up fore sale. The stickers were taken off which I could never understand why they would do that, wasnt garaged, its painfull even thinking how much that truck deserved a good home I honestley dont know what part of AK it was in though.
  20. Thank you Sir Zippy. You have me sold on the rear diff. Im sure my buddies will be purchasing them also after seeing those videos, especially the 2nd one. They dont have trucks just jeeps. Thank you again, and I hope to do business in the future with you, got some things up my sleeve but will take some time.
  21. gives you whiplash when braking. CHP, only if I could get my truck along side yours around 60 mph then slam the brakes to show how much better the hydroboost setup is compared to my stock brakes. Have you noticed your ABS becoming alot more active with the hydroboost? Sorry to thread jack 03Justn, just curious about how this affects the ABS system.
  22. Just to let you know the Arrival Blue 2004 is the 2nd most rare SS, and the Black Onyx 2007 being most rare. You most likely will have to go down to the lower 48. They did have an Indy 500 Silverado SS Parade Truck for sale up their, but it didnt look like it was taken care of too well compared to Matt and Jason's truck.
  23. Beware of fakes like people slapping Intimidator badges on, just like people slap SS badges on non SS trucks. The DEI SS also has a different suspension than the rest of the SS trucks. Your best bet might to be to contact member KelleyPerformance, he is in the car business with an aftermarket shop and he does immaculate work. He finds cars for people for a living, he will find you with the milage you want, or according how much you want to spend. Very nice member and is always helpful. May take some time to hear back from him, but I could try to make a call if he doesnt respond quickly, he is very busy customizing vettes. Also consider the 2007 SS, they are the leftover DEI SS trucks, 1033 were made however only 933 were badged in 2006. So you could have a regular DEI SS truck, just without the Intimidator badge, the classic 2007 body style. Those are the most rare SS trucks, the 2007 classics.
