  1. Turned out I mentioned the wrong stuff earlier. The engine was built poorly originally, there are a few issues with it. A few of the solid rockers are seized up, some will move and catch and a couple will not move at all, so they are most of the issue. My mechanic wants me to source a set of full roller rockers and a new set of roller lifters, I also need a gasket kit. If anyone has suggestions on the best I can get please let me know, I don't want to skimp at all on replacement parts. It does have a nice set of hardened pushrods at least. The pistons will come out Monday to be checked, hopefully there is nothing messed up farther down.
  2. It has a brand new tire on it, would like $250 for it with the tire included.
  3. It's close to me as well but I have never gotten a chance to go, probably because I would be completely new to the whole scene and have no idea where to start.
  4. I have one extra but it isn't perfect, it has some scratching and curb rash but holds air fine.
  5. The mechanic checked out the rockers yesterday and said everything there looked and felt good, I will pass on the info though.
  6. I am not sure if you can pick up what it sounds like in these videos, but these are the exhaust videos I made when I had the exhaust changed out. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/81224-exhaust-videos-with-new-rear-dual-exit-and-electric-cutouts/ I will try to go in and get a couple of new clips of the sounds as soon as I can. It is a ticking sound.
  7. I don't have any way to get a sound clip at the moment as it is at his shop. It does not go away with more RPM, you can hear it coming down the exhaust at all times, cannot really tell if it gets louder since the exhaust is so loud itself. The oil pressure in the truck is around 20lb, so we obviously have an issue there. Thanks everyone for the ideas,
  8. My mechanic is trying to diagnose some noises and a few other things with my engine and I need some help as he is not real familiar with the LSX, but knows normal LS engines very well. I need to know what the oil pressure would normally be, if it would normally have a solid lifter cam, and which valve cover gaskets are used so we can order the right kind. The engine is also making noise that he describes as a tractor like mechanical ticking sound. It has made this sound since I have bought it, but now that one of the cylinders is throwing a code and it is losing a fairly large amount of power we want to try and figure out if it is normal and if it is not what to do to correct it. My knock sensors have both been throwing codes and he thinks the engine is loud enough on it's ticking to set them. Any help would be appreciated, I'd like to get this all figured out soon.
  9. I live about 20 miles north of Mt. Vernon and have never seen an ISS in this area, don't think anyone else from north of Seattle is on the site besides one person that just moving up here and the Vancouver guys.
  10. Anything you need as trade? Interested in the hydroboost setup.
  11. I have a 600+ hp LSX 454 in mine and the drivetrain is all stock aside from the transmission which you definitely need to either build or get a 4L80E, haven't had any issues at all with any of it.
  12. Just got back from a trip, updated a few more parts that I have sold, feel free to make offers as well.
  13. I bought a set of Nitto 420S last year for around $700, if you can stretch a bit it might be worth getting them.
  14. Don't have any of that unfortunately. Most of the stuff I have was off a stock 2004 black SS.
  15. I don't suppose you have any parts you are looking for? This is one of the last mods I want to do to my truck but I am leaving for a vacation in three days and don't have any spare cash because of it, but tons of parts from my wrecked truck.
  16. I am interested if the other is still available, I can Paypal you as soon as you let me know if it is.
  17. The engine and exhaust system has about 8000 miles total on it, it seems strange that any of that stuff would be failing already. I will try and start checking some of it over as I can.
  18. I had a P0300 code come up a couple days ago. The truck starts and idles fine, it smells a bit gassy when sitting in one spot though. During any accelerating past around 3500 RPM the CEL will flash for a bit then go back off. It also very noticeably less power at all times currently. I already checked the exhaust, nothing leaking there that I can feel. Other suggestions I am seeing online are a possible vacuum leak, coil pack issues, and other various fuel delivery related things. I just started after I got a full tank of gas a couple days ago, is it possible it is just a tank of sub par gas? Any ideas would be great, if I can't figure it out in the next two weeks the truck will be going in to figure out why my knock sensor codes won't stay off while I am on vacation and I will just have them figure it out then, but earlier is always better. I have EFI Live and can provide logs if that helps.
  19. Finally had a chance to clean the truck fully for a couple car shows this last week. Also got a few pictures at work with the bright green Miata one of the other guys drives, he auto crosses it most weekends during the summer.
  20. It's a Gemtop GT Classic. You can't even tell the strip is on there in that picture, but yes it is on there. I added a few more shots of the emblems, I still haven't cleaned them up fully and the truck is dirty, but you get the idea.
  21. Finally got my truck in to get touch up work done and have the emblems painted. Just need to replace the screws around my rear plate holder and I think I am done with the exterior aside from maybe a wheel swap. Cell phone pictures, will get some good ones next week once I clean it up for a show. I am also thinking about have the wheels either powder coated fully black or getting something different, any opinions?
  22. Got quite a few more parts out the last couple weeks, long block is pending as well so I might have intake and accessories available soon.
