  1. I say yes and no. I would let my (future) kid drive what ever i have. since i trucks are my hobby my kids will grow up the same.

I only say no because of the running conditon of the truck. If you cant fix it before the prom and he is on his head to drive it then take him for driving lessions in it and follow a few cars behind so you can swap it out at the school once he goes in. Parents used to go to the school and take pictures as kids go into the school.

  2. lol i thought about this the other night when i was looking at your other thread. Its hard not to mod anything i drive and no it dont help to get older. I havent' bought anything for the ss in a couple of years but I have completly modded one of my land cruisers to the max. I have learned not to mod my dd due to it being a tow truck for the other rides and it really needs to be reliable.

  3. first line in the above post , 37x13.5x20 , heavy as shit , thats what pry bars are for . some of the wheels i cnage on our pete's and frieght's weigh far more being 24.5/22.5 steel rims . a steel tow boot and a good 36 inch pry bar make it a walk in the park.

I just look at pictures :jester: i also forgot your putting a lift on it too. I am thinking about going up to 37s when i need tires.

  4. Oh i agree 7.3s are probably the best motors but the newest one is 8 years old and good luck finding one thats not ragged out with over 100k miles. My last 2006 did good until i sold it. It had over 100k miles with a programer set on 100hp setting the whole time. Which started to kill the truck since i would run it as hard as it would run towing a 10k lb trailer across the country. I will be a little more easier on this truck and only run a programer when i'm not towing. And besides if the egr goes out i will delete it or if the head gaskets fail i will put arp studs in.

  5. I started a new job and needed something to DD. With my last company I had a new gmc dmax that they got back. My last truck was a 2006 f250 powerstroke and i liked it alot, It was my company truck until I bought it off the company then i sold it, The company replaced the truck I bought with the gmc which i liked at first but after putting 18k miles on it and averaging 13mpg and buring 6 quarts of oil between oil changes i decided i didn't want a new dmax. I found a 2006 F350 CCLB single wheel King Ranch with 26k miles that was garage kept its whole life, non smoker, no kids ect. Its in perfect shape in every way. I havent really cleaned it up good yet due to weather but next week its getting a claybar and a good wax job.

  6. I have a set of Kool Vue door mirrors that are heated and have the turn signal in the mirror. I bought these for the 09 GMC I had and Since I got rid of the truck I dont need them any more. They are 3 months old and in great shape. Part numers are CV41ER-S and CV41EL-S. I paid over $400 for the pair and they have been great.

I want $250 for the pair plus shipping.

  7. Like I told you the other day CONGRATS. I have been DD a diesel since 2005 and Thats all I will ever have. The 09 LMM i have been driving has been the worst one yet. I will be back into a powerstroke by this weekend if everything goes right.
