Its beautiful! I have to do the fuel rail X-over and all of the plumbing before pictures. I am sure you know what it looks like already. If only I had a few consecuative days to work on this thing, I would be done.

I would paint them. I have ssbc and there were coated and they are rusting

Personally I would stay away from ASM. Been there and done that. collectors are crappy, and you cant hardly put bolts in them. then i had mine for abou 8 months then pulled the 6.0 for the 1st 408 and they were pretty rusted up and they have the high dollar coating on them. i called them up and got sorry not our responsibility. I went with dynatech. yeah they are a little smaller but the quality is great

Ok its been a few weeks whats new?? have you figured out how your going to run the belt with the electric wp?

yes and no, it will bolt on but you have to put a car style water pump on and a relocat bracket for your idler pulley. then you have to deal with the fuel system, rails, FPR. there should be some write ups on it.

I think a couple of ds loops will do it. it helps alot that the tcase is splitting the power. I would hold off on one. because you know in the back of your mind that your going to have to do the 80e

youd need alot, honestly finding a 2500 frame in ex cab short box would be your best bet. you could upgrade the front and rear diffs. the x fer case might be able to hang but for how long who knows. i think you could get there with an ls powered motor but its going to take big cubes with big boost.
an 80 may be able to do it but i think then youll be pusing the limits of it. you will need close to 1200 to the wheels to get single digits.
i agree with chase, you need to start out with a 3/4 ton drivetrain. now you just added 1000 lbs to the truck. you can start and try out a 80e tranny but with the weight and about of power its going to need will just eat that tranny. then if it does hold traction is going to be a problem. you can build a motor to make the power like a lsx 488 with 6 bolt all pro heads and some twin turbos because its going to be hard to keep a belt on the motor trying to spin a supercharger that high.

Good tip with grinding the paint. I have always used LocTite on the converter bolts ever since I pulled my tranny the first time and found one loose. The crank pulley is a PowerBond 25% underdrive. Its a nice piece and I especially like how deep the belt grooves are and the integrated puller tabs in case I need to take it off.
oh yeah dont forget to key it or pin it. Those crank pulleys like to spin at 6700 rpm

I would say they are ok, just make sure when you pull the cam and put the cam back in becareful not to nick or scar the bearings. lube up the cam as much as you can.

nice numbers. everything is looking good, i have the same tci flexplate and something i learned is to take off all the paint where its going to bolt up to anything and use loc tite. What kind of crank pulley is that?

well not all of them are like that. last time at the track i hung out with about 5 or 6 L owners and they were all cool. I have ran across the ocassional idiot that ownes one but that comes with anything. I have ran across a few ss owners there were the same way. It also helps that if your running with them you need to out run them

I have used the recharge kits many times on my older trucks and cars. it works great as long as you dont over charge it. just shake up the can and turn it upside down and let it do its thing.

Thats just down the road from me(kansas city area) and they were interviewing the owner on the radio and he said well since gas prices have gone crazy, there are more and more car jackings, robberies and people just stealing gas. So its either give some one the extra fuel or something to protect them.
I think its a great idea. This past sunday during the day I had my F250 broken into and had about $1700 worth of stuff taken out of the console. I was talking to the cop and he said crime rate has gone crazy here lately. most of his calls deal with robberys or vandalism. He said they dont wright many speeding tickets any more cause they just dont have time.

After 2 years of my truck being down because of the motor. after 2 rebuilds I finally got it running and broke in this week and went to the tbss national meet here in kansas city. Mind you the fuel in the gas tank is 2 years old and has stabil in it, i put some octane booster in it and at the track i got 3 gallon of 104. I only have about hour of tuning so there is alot left on the table. but i am happy with it. This run is motor only.

you are correct but he didn't let out of it until it was too late, and the guy in the red tuck from my understanding dont have enough money to repair his truck. I hung out with the L guys at KCIR where this took place and they were all pissed at the guy. They invited me out to Lfest 6 this year. Should be fun
