  1. I run Polk DXi6500's 6.5" up front and Polk DXi460p's 4x6's in back. They are plenty loud. both are component speakers. You already know the front layout. the rear is a 4x6 plate with a 4" woofer and a tweeter in it

    what subs are you using?

i forgot to add that im running 2 12' cvx

  2. hey guys so the voice speakers i have on my truck are not loud enough for me and every time i higher the amp i keep popping them!!! so what i what to do is put some 6x9s in the front and some 6.5 in the back!!!

now my question is does anyone have a set up like this already?? if you do send me some pictures please because i will not add them if it looks stupid! i rather keep popping them. in going on my 3rd set

what i have now in the front doors are 6.5 pioneer 4 way and in the back i have some 4x6 pioneer 3 way! but like i said not loud enough for my base. or for me

  3.

i just barely fit the 6 1/2 in the door I don't think 6x9 will fit its already 6" one way side to side and 4" up and down so I shaved the top and bottem to fit the 6 1/2 in the door and the door panel went back on looks stock unless I showed you you would think it was the stock speakers the alpine type r is pricey but they are like separates in a 6 1/2 right to the stock system. I plan on getting a amp and deck this summer and swap out the front for the separates I already have nice clean sound pin drop quality

    My bad I though u said 6x9

  4. its a 4x6 hole that size leaves little upgrades so alpine type r 6 1/2 comes with a template hold it up to the hole mark it and cut out the middle with a jig saw looks like to half moons you cut out just enough so the speaker will mount the damn magnets fell off the Bose ones at 90 bucks a pop I got the alpines for about the same way better sound.

I need some 6x9 in my rear doors can you PM me some pics so I can see what it looks like?

  5. What part of Zacatecas my moms family is from there. And yeah I wouldn't take it I have some family that are driving around in buckets cus their afraid to take their trucks out and they ain't even SSS 's

    It's Zacatecas, Zacatecas

Lol yea Im not taking it lol

  6. So after reading comments on the TBSS/SSS Nationals thread, it seems like there might be some interest in having a large west coast meet, most likely in Vegas.

So I figured I would post this up as a feeler to gauge how much REAL interest there might be in having such a meet in Las Vegas.

I think Vegas would be a great spot to have a West Coast Meet for several reasons. #1 its not that far of a drive for many of the west coast members, especially those in the LA area, and #2 Vegas is a destination, and it might also attract a few from the east coast that may be willing to fly out for the event just because it is in Las Vegas.

If we do decide to organize a large meet like this I will be able to help organize it, but I would definitely need some help. I know Vegas very well so I have a few ideas of places to meet, and things to do. It would be fun to have a bunch of SSs cruise the strip, then over to Lake Mead, and the Hoover Dam.

I think sometime in fall would be the best time to have the meet. We dont want to do it in the middle of the summer because its so damn hot, but on the other hand hotel rooms are cheaper in the summer,

We will have to see how much interest we get from the SSS crowd, and of course we need to get the TBSS crowd involved as well. We also may be able to open it up to more cars, especially and other SSs (Camaros, Cobalts, etc).

So what do you guys think?

    IM IN

I live in Vegas so if u need help let me know PM me

Best time of weather is now the first 2 weeks of march and we have about 2 weeks in August of good weather!

But having the meet in Vegas would be fun! We have a speed way 2 where we can do runs!

I bought my first SSS 5yrs ago, paid about 28k for it(yes allot of $$)but I think it's been worth it every single penny haha I've done a couple things to it to make it a little more different than others but mainly been trying to pay it off b4 I start tearing into my engine bay, anyway feel free to drop by and ask any questions. Btw love the site and about 70% of questions ive had about the ss, all i do is hit the search button and every answer is pretty much there! Thanks guys lots of great info here.

    Welcome back

I was off this site for about a year but I'm back! Lol

    How is your truck?

  8. I'll call the guy about it and let you guys know the details, this is pretty close to home and I've been looking for a black SS for two years... Lol.

    - Edit -

Truck was stolen before, the lady said there is a hole under the door handle (guessing where they pried it) and a deep scratch behind the driver passenger wheel. I'll have to pass on it but it is a pretty good price.

I live in Vegas if you are interested in the truck ill go look at it for you and take some pics if you want PM me
  9.
