  1. Guys, I am in the middle of moving to Fla. House to be ready like in 6 or 7 months. After I get settled I will crank out

more bowties if I see enough need.

    thanks,

    shopman1

I'll take 2 with black letters as soon as you make some

  2. Check out Randy's build thread. He has been through a LOT trying to get his 80 together and has gained some wisdom through the experience.

Shawn had a great how to about the install process with really good photos. (Not sure if it's still up or not). Yup; Found it.

If I am remembering correctly the early versions gad gear ratios that work a little easier with our trucks than later versions.

There is a lot of reading in this thread. I think that the trans talk doesn't get going good till about half way through the thread.

    Happy reading.

Thnx yea I got A LOT of reading to do lol
  3. Im putting a 3000 stall in mine. But im also getting my trans completely built. I have obxr long tubes, cai, cam, injectors, corsa sport exhaust, and a wheatley tune. The guy building my trans and the place where im getting my converter from both recommended to not go higher than a 3200 stall. Also they recommended either a 9.5 single disc billet or 10.5 single disc billet. Im getting the 10.5. But i very rarely will tow anything.

I will also very very rarely tow anything but if I do it will probably be from Los Angels to Las Vegas and there are hills on the way so I'm not sure what stall to get

  4. Hey guys Im looking to start building my transmission my eventual plan is supercharger but that's still a long time from now

Current mods are ARH, 160 T start, volant CAI, Taylor 409 wires with new plugs

Future mods planed: E fans, cam, fast 102 or tbss intake manifold, supercharger

My first question is what does the Corvette servo do for our trucks? I am getting one of those

Also what is a good stall to use with my current mods keeping in mind I might need to tow something like once a year or towing car from California if I need to Las Vegas. I would use the truck to go and come from Las Vegas to California maybe 4 times a year(not towing

What is a good shift kit to add?

Anything else I need to add to hold my current and future mods.

I don't want to go with cheap parts because I want this transmission to last

  5. I would skip the LS1 fans since I don't think they just bolt up and use the 05-06 fans as you can buy reproduction versions for pretty cheap. ($140 ish) The other option is to go to a junk yard and find a set and the GM relay control for it and add them to your truck. The GM relay system works the best that I have seen. I would assume both fans cool just about the same.

I have the harness to add the ls1 fans into an SSS you can't always find a way to mount them

I was just curious if they are as strong as the ones on an 05 SS or will my truck heat up a little more

  6. Dam I just finished reading the whole thing and dam this is an awesome truck Im just getting started on mine but dam this is pumping me up to buy something lol

Hit me up next time you come to Vegas. I would love to see this truck at the track
