I wanted to see what you guys would think about a crew cab Silverado SS Clone or "Phantom". I have an 05 Silverado (5.3L) that I have already begun to turn into my clone project. Coming across an SS in the area I live in is pretty slim, and I needed something that could fit more than the regular cab could. What are your thoughts on the idea of a crew cab clone? So far I have put on the 20" SS replica wheels, and a Street Scene SS bumper cover. The rear bumper and step pads are at the house waiting to get painted and put on. I eventually plan on doing the body cladding (moneys tight right now). Ive attached a couple of pictures of what I have done so far. Let me know what you guys think.

Ive been poking around and read that a lot of guys on here have Flex-a-Lite & E-Lite Fans equipped on their trucks. Seeing as Im somewhat new to all this, and Ive been out of the game for a while (stuck in f***in Afghanistan), I have a few questions about them... 1) Whats the purpose in them? 2) How hard are they to install? 3) What do I gain from having them? Thanks in advance for any help on this! Matt

I have the same mufflers on my 5.3L right now. I also have the side exhaust coming out before the rear tires like you mentioned. Pretty good setup, to much drone for my taste though. -
I had the same problem with the gauges in my 05 Silverado (non SS). I decided to try out some stick on faces to change them to white like in the SS, they turned out pretty decent looking. Took a while to get them lined up just right though.

If Money Wasn'T An Object What Cars/Trucks Would You Get ...

I would get rid of my crew cab silverado and get me the SS! But I would also go with a 68 Camaro SS - 2008 Cadillac CTS-V - 2008 Cadillac STS4 - 2008 Crystler 300 SRT8 - 2008 Dodge Ram SRT10 - and for my 'super car' I would go with the Crystler ME4-12 -
Ive seen that a good bit of people here have this system, and its got the look that I have been looking for forever now. I just placed my order for my system: Summit Racing Cat4Ward Headers Magnaflow "hi-flo" Catalytic Converters Corsa Sport Dual Exhaust (rear exit - split tips)

Sorry to hear about the tranny. I really have no advice on the subject since I just had to replace mine as well! Hopefully someone can give us the answers to what were doing wrong here.

I remember when the local PD was cracking down on tinted windows around town, so everyone I knew went fish bowl style except for me. And I never got pulled over for it. Thank God!
