  1. Did you ever plasti dip your rims? Sorry for going off topic, but I stumbled across this thread and wanted to know.
  2. No... I don't. I don't have ANY badges or stickers on my truck, except the silveradoss.com sticker on the back glass. And I know that they were put on older ss 396 impalas and what not as well, but it's kinda like the corvette symbol now.
  3. It doesn't look bad or anything, it just doesn't make since to me. It's like someone putting SS badges on a non ss, it's the same thing, IMO.
  4. Steering wheel controls actually couldn't be easier, tap one wire at the bcm, a ground, and ign. Then program the interface. Here's how to wire the swi-rc(replaced the swi-jack a while back) to a pioneer headunit. http://www.pac-audio...eer&swiOptions=
  5. You buy an adapter harness and module, if applicable, and swi-jack and it will.
  6. This the one? I don't think it'll work especially if it's turned on by the 07+ trucks lan data system, plus it will require A LOT of modification to fit it physically into an SS.
  7. If you're divorced, it seems like fair game, IMO. Maybe he thinks the same. If you don't, let em' know. But don't expect him to stop dating her because of it.
  8. So, if he manually unlocked it, that means you can get in, push the brake, and pull it out of park without turning the key or turning on your toggle switch?
  9. Yeah, loose throttle body connection somewhere. Unplug all the wires from the throttle body and plug them back in a couple times, see if it works.
  10. Well I take the throttle body off when I clean them, three bolts is a lot easier than having to reach back in there with a rag or toothbrush to clean it. I don't think the 03 up TB's have iac valves, so just clean all around the butterfly, come to think of it, I'm not sure if the butterfly can be manually pushed open on the 03+ tb's either. If you can't push it open, you may have to leave it on the truck and get someone to push the gas to clean around it.
  11. How long did you leave the hose off the regulator, it could take up to 5 minutes for fuel to start coming out without the vacuum assisting it. Was the inside of the hose wet or smell like fuel(not oil). If it idled better with the vacuum leak (from pulling the hose off the regulator), then the throttle body might be dirty.
  12. There's a gmt-900 gmc denali around here with those exact rims on a white truck I like em' on it. Not sure about a gmt-800 though, I think something different would look better on an SS.
  13. Sorry, didn't mean to sound that way. There's one thing I'm not sure about and that is if the gear lever is electronically unlocked or if it's manual (with key turn) like the older models, I suspect it's electronic. Can you pull it out of park without the key in it or the ignition toggle switch on?
  14. Exactly, I read through this whole thread, thinking it was recent (still think I'm living in 2011). All the talk about non ss owners had me feeling down, then I stumbled across post 98 and felt better again because I wasn't here back then. Whew!!
  15. Really doubt it's in the tune. Sounds more like a dirty throttle body/maf or vacuum leak.
  16. Generally, the fuel regulator is at fault for long crank times, especially if it sits a while, but not too long between hard starts. Pull the vacuum hose off the regulator while it's running and see if it leaking fuel into the intake.
  17. Big powerhouse!!! 140hp and 245 torques at 1800rpm. http://www.4btswaps.com/forum/showthread.php?7348-Isuzu-4BD1T-Introduction.
  18. If you did it through the viper all you had to do was rig up a momentary push button and hook it into the turbo timer input, then set run time to infinite on the viper. Disable the brake shutdown and the gear lever locking. I could of done the same thing you did with 3 relays, a toggle switch, momentary push button, and a pack of assorted resistors for around 40 bucks.
  19. Who picked those wheels and put HUGE corvette emblems on it?
  20. Someone needs to learn how to stop putting finger prints on the door when you shut it.
  21. You must be talking about the differences on the engine covers or something. All SS engines are the same, stock. GMT-900 v-max are a whole other story.I *think* the 05+ covers says vortec max and the 03-04 covers says vortec 6000.
  22. Sometimes, I go crazy trying to think of everything I have done to my truck, in-case something happened and I had to do it all over again on a new one. I wouldn't change one thing on it except the rims...
  23. Yeah, that's true. But, did you check the vacuum port on the fuel regulator? Sometimes the diaphragm cracks and lets more fuel into the intake, through the vacuum line. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKtR_yF7bi8&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwKM99P3LwM
  24. I see a truck pull. ss vs another silverado. ss loses. Posts 6 and nine, however, do have a 2wd ss sell video. Look at post one...
