  5. Any suggestions on a good cam for a 4.8L, with thoughts of maybe running FI down the line, something thatll work well with that, also any suggestions on a nice set of headers thatll put out a good sound, and x-pipes, mufflers, ect.. Thanks- Kyle
  6. I've been searching for a year or so now to find the perfect truck to hopefully one day start a rcsb, I was dead set on finding a 5.3Lengine in a single cab either black or white, with all the options possible, and let me tell you, they don't pop up often. Anyways the other day I was looking at a local dealer here in town and they had my truck, 05, black, almost every option I was looking for, but one issue, it was only a 4.8, so I got to looking up the specs on the motors, and I couldn't believe that its said the 5.3 was only making (give or take) 25 more hp than the 4.8, so my question here is, is there really that big of a gain with getting the 5.3, I've heard that the 4.8's hold up great to turbos and really show a huge gain, Im just looking for someone who has any info on either motor. Thanks- Kyle
  7. Finally got around to doing a little detailing on the truck, not all the way but I had all I wanted with the heat today. Lol
  8. Alright guys, I need some help with problem I'm having. We have a company truck at my work place, that we use for delivering. It looks to m as if it used to be a Uhall, or some sort of truck like that, anyways the adhesive from the previous sticker is B, so I'm wondering if anyone has information on the best way to remove the stuff, we've scrubbed with a adhesive remover and o results, so I thinking a buffer pad o what. Thanks- Kye
  9. Moth balls work well! Along with a shot in the ass from a pellet gun.
  10. Damn that thing is sexy! Too bad Im know where near Cali to have it installed the right way. But I know who to come to for the kit and by the looks of it I going to need to down size on tires, also thought about the idea of going with 22's so this helped me make up my mind. Thanks
  11. Hey guys I was just wondering how low I could go with 275 50 20's, I've been looking at dropping it 4/6 for awhile wondering if I would have any problems rubbing or anything going that low with that tire size, I've also been throwing around the idea of a 5/8 drop, any problems with either of these? Thanks - Kyle
  12. No I don't, not much anyways, but I do know the guy before me installed aftermarket auto windows and door locks do to it all being manual when he bought it, but I have a feeling he might of just jerry rigged it all.
  13. Ok guys here's the deal, I own a 2005 SIlverado 1500, short wide, and Ive had it for about two years now, and I have ran into alot of problems with it throughout this time. from my tailights not ligting up at nightc ac controller messing up, gauge cluster messing up I know that is a common problem but still and my headlights while driving down the road just randomly shutting off and coming back on repeatedly, I'm just wondering if any of you guys have experienced problems like this, or what, I really want to get another single cab 03-06 with a 5.3L and everything, I was wondering if maybe I just got the lemon out of the bunch. That concludes my rant for the day. - Kyle
  14. Very nice! IMO you can never go wrong with white, this is exactly what I want my truck to be. Nicely done!
  15. Thatd be one hell of a parts truck for anobody looking to do a clone, well at least for the interior
  16. Damn, I was hoping for a white clone build, but it still looks good. Nice truck man.
  17. Thanks for all the comments, I will try and figure which issue it is.
  18. A few days ago while driving down the street I noticed my truck had just completely shut down, no rpms, no gas, enginehad completely came to a stop, but yet the radio and ect. still continuedto run, I thought it may have just been a freak accident, so I let it go, but recently it has been happening about once a day, It has one it while I've been driving 20 mpg, Starting to accel, and also while coming to a stop, No warning lights, no check engine light, nothing.. I need help, I just don't have any idea on what it could be, or where toeven begin looking, anybody that thinks they can help, Thanks in advance. Thanks- Kyle
  19. Good looking wheels, but the truck needs lowered.
  20. This is NOT OEM! Its a just a bumper cover for a Silverado, I bought it off a guy who had it on his lifted Silverado, he had to cut the bottom corners off to run the tires he was running. So when I got it did some fiberglass and bondo work, now it's back to normal. Also, I have a bumper that I bought with it so no need to put onto yours, you just take off your old one, use the same hardware and put this one on. For picture- inbox me with your phone number, or if there is interest I can post some on here. Asking $400 for the whole setup, bumper cover, and orignal bumper to put on your truck. Thanks- Kyle.
  21. I wonder why he is keeping it in the back yard....
  22. Right on man, thanks. I'll look into them
