  1. I didn't get anything Valuable out of either link. The first half of it was in Spanish and I'm sorry but I can't translate. The second has some really good time slips but doesn't show the da. I didn't say it couldn't be done, he's got good 60 ft times for stock. Yet, da plays a major role.
  2. Someone got butt hurt. A tune and a built tranny is not what you said in your first post one... And I didnt say it couldn't be done. Just that I'd like to see what he did so maby I could learn something which is what this site is for. I didn't discredit anything you said other than that your post was lacking valuable information so this guy could get the right idea of where he stands. Yea he COULD go that quick, but everyone's setup is different.
  3. You don't look under your hood often do you? Painted tb ... Genius
  4. I made it with a peice of all thread from home depot some aluminum fuel line cut into peoces to act as spacers and some L brackets made out of aluminum hung under the cowl. Worked well. The spacers need to be cut with a pipe cutter to get the coils to sit snug and tight
  5. Trying to move old parts to fund my turbo project. Im open to trade as well. Figured id let you guys have first stab at it before i let the vultures on PT.net get ahold of it. EVERYTHING OBO... 2007 87mm TB off a Tahoe. 2k miles $65 obo Black locking gas door. fits 1999-07 Gm trucks (i bought for my lifted truck then traded it in on the SS) $30 obo... costed me $55. 2005 RST black leather and red stitching jump seat. perfect condition. $100 obo i have no idea what this would even be worth. GM Performance ValveCovers both have provisions for the breather. $175obo have them painted w.e color you want. these retail $120 a peice
  6. basic spraypaint. if prepped right you can make it look good. costed me $30 ...
  7. prolly took out ALOT of weight... i.e. tailgate, spare, jack and all that mess, back seat and hell front seat why not. and had to be on some sort of DR. i could see that happening but damn a 14.1 with just a tune? id love to see a timeslip. got a link? lol i wanna be nosey rosey
  8. 14.6 @ 93 on friday. i also went 14.7@ 95 and mines just 06 with a CAI and Catback magnaflow. NO TUNE. ya never know it could suprise you... humidity is up here tho. in upstate pa you should have some pretty good times as my times were quicker in NJ in mid June @ 85 degrees than here in NC in september on a 65 degree night.
  9. yea iv been all over crutchfield and i have everything minus a capacitor and components for the doors. pretty much looking at the different ones. I am well aware the you pull power from the battery for the amp... i was curious if people were pulling from the distro block, alternator, or straight from the battery... as these batteries are side post which makes it pretty difficult to set it up correctly. also running new speaker wire from the amp to the components. also for remote wires for both amps, do you make the split as short as possible?
  10. alright im at a bit of a dilemma. I want to put a pretty good sound system in my truck. Double din with every option. the question i have is that i want to put my two 10" subs beneath the rear seat and i can make this fit. I have a kenwood 2 ohm 1000 watt amp and wiring ready for this as well. Im looking to add another amp for door speakers. I have an amp for this as well. Im looking for which speakers would be a good add on for my system or what others have done for theirs. From the factory it came with just a regular cd player with the door speakers and thats it. Also, i will be picking up a capacitor but where is everyone pulling power for their amps from?

  18. i have 3.73's i like them. I have made many trips from NC to NJ and average about a tank and a 1/4 in the 7-8hrs of driving. but there are numerous things you can do to pick up fuel mileage, theres always maintenance. these things werent made to get good gas mileage. maby buy a bike or honda for the fuel mileage...
