  1. I ordered a front set of rotors today straight from Baer in 1 piece design with those part numbers 6910962 Right 6920962 Left I looked everywhere trying to find a better price for them and they were $272.50 if you got them from Baer or someone else figured they might get them to me quicker going directly through Baer
  2. I'm not looking to buy just seen it and was like yeah right that's a good one
  3. Seen this on Craigslist Boston https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/5455240569.html

  5. They sure do make it look easy on the tv shows one guy draws it another guy downloads the drawing into the computer program and then gets cut out of a block of aluminum and out pops a new rim. LoL
  6. Don't forget your hour meter nice looking dash by the way
  7. Thought it might be a cool subject see where it goes 2003 SS Silverado 175,828.9 miles 5869.9 Hours
  8. GLWS she's gonna make the next Buyer very happy looks GREAT
  9. I try to be helpful when I can sometimes I just try to hard Johnny but always a good time I've been digging up all kinds of info on things I'm gonna be doing after the brakes I'm gonna be digging into the engine. I've built up a bunch of parts do do the swap only thing I have left to get is a new Redhead steering box some will say my OCD is kicking in but in my mind all my oem stuff has 175,000 miles and if I replace it I'll be good for the long haul and feel better then it did brand new
  10. Hope this helps it's what i found looking around
  11. I would bolt it using Carl's brackets for the winglets and bolt on the center piece as it was designed to be bolted on I had to go to the dealership for the special wellnuts that go into the tailgate holes that are shaped like a stop sign that are under your stock tailgate cap as mine didn't come with them installed some regular Silverados came with a tailgate cap that bolts on but the tailgate cap they used on the SS model was double sided sticky tape so Chevy never installed them. you can make your own install tool out of a bolt and nut at a hardware store for those special wellnuts with the nut screwed onto the bolt you then screw the nut and bolt into your wellnut then with the wellnut held into the hole hold the bolt with one wrench and tighten the nut against the wellnut until it's tight then back off the nut and remove both that will set your wellnut making it ready to bolt on your center piece of your wing you can also drill a couple holes on the inside side of your tailgate and install a 3-4 wellnuts to help hold it secure and tight to the tailgate but you'll need someone to hold a wrench on the wellnut inside the tailgate to keep the wellnut from spinning to get it as tight as it needs to be. After the center piece was installed I also added locknuts to all the bolts&wellnuts inside the tailgate to prevent someone from easily unbolting it and walking away with my spoiler I also got a tailgate security piece that prevents you from taking off the tailgate without tools also preventing someone from stealing my shit it took awhile to fully install but I'm pretty sure they will give up before being successfully in stealing it bolting the winglets would also help prevent those from easily being removed and walking away.
  12. You shouldn't have a problem just make sure you take your time and measure where you need to drill your holes
  13. Thanks its gonna get put to the test pulling the snowmobiles to Maine this weekend I'm looking forward to see how much better that will feel
  14. I agree looks nice also love the rim choice they really catch the eye and make ya smile
  15. I've seen the fiberglass and got rid of it there not worth wasting money on the stock oem are made out of the same material as these ones you found so I'm betting you'll have better luck with fit & finish get Carl's brackets on here and you'll be in business I used his brackets on the oem spoiler I found and they worked just as good as oem. your gonna have to play with the winglets to get them perfect no matter what mount kit you get that's just the nature of the beast it's like bolting a fender on and making sure all your lines line up.
  16. Good luck with the fiberglass ones I'd rather go without then to compromise the oem fitment
  17. Defiantly feels better over bumps and potholes almost cushions the blow instead of a harsh bottom out corners feel much better for the money I wouldn't even spend all that money on the aftermarket ones your just buying a brand name in my opinion.
  18. So you think it's best to just run the oem padlets and replace the pads often after a certain amount of miles and that would give the best braking and prolong the life of the rotors
  19. After looking up how much the step pads were to replace if I lost one I couldn't give the guy at the dealership parts counter my money fast enough for the clips I think I paid somewhere around $35
  20. Finally scored some front ZO6 calipers so I'm ordering pads & rotors this week I know what rotors to get started looking for pads and there's not much info on what works best when mounted to these heavy trucks. So far from what of read the one piece pads would prevent you from losing a single padlet if one was to wear quicker then the others causing it to possibly fall out of the caliper along with a piston leaking brake fluid everywhere not sure how many miles before this could happen but it has happened. I also read that the ceramic pads are really harsh on the rotors and could possibly start corrosion considering there big money I'd say that nobody wants that to happen but at the same time nobody wants the dust all over the place. So what is the happy medium when choosing a set of pads for these Calipers on these heavy Trucks
  21. High 14 would be nice low 15 maybe but probably mid 15 post up after the track see how she does
