  1. make sure your PCM and the donor motor retultacator (I can never spell that right) ring match.
  2. I dont think you should lock up a single disc on shifts...Someone correct me if I am worng plz.
  3. its even closer to me this year...do we have a date yet??
  4. we used to have a member who worked for Banks and had a VHO...he was pusing them to do and exhaust and a cold air intake.
  5. T-6 split flange turbo with deticated scrolls for each bank, I think a set up like this would keep back pressure down...no belt a good gate to control the boost down to like 5psi and then let it rip to 10-12.
  6. Brian/BlownChevy has a used 1900 that would probably be more than enough.
  7. I thought you just got this on?? what happened?? YOu got it on and the blower needed to be rebuilt??
  8. man that is pricy! even with selling your radix that will barley cover the pulley!
  9. 850 RWHP would get us a 10.91 850 X 1.30= 1105 HP @ flywheel http://www.squirrelp...n=1&map_sel0=97 http://www.squirrelpf.com/turbocalc/graph.php?version=4&pr0=1&pr1=1.07&pr2=2.17&pr3=3.28&pr4=3.28&pr5=3.28&pr6=3.28&pr7=3.28&airflow0=6.7&airflow1=21.8&airflow2=50&airflow3=84&airflow4=99.9&airflow5=110&airflow6=122.5&airflow7=130&product_id=97 So if I put in the 1100HP goal...and some other misc data and then plot it against the cheap box turbo, I get this. I am no expert but the middle seems like a good place, thru the major island would also seem good, and away from the surge line. I also think it means the turbo is not max'd only at 76% of its efficiency. am I reading this wrong? What I am saying with the converter is that I am stalling at less that what I want, 2700 vs 3200. How safe is it to think that with the added torque that I will get those 500RPM's in the stall speed. This ,like you have said, is critical in setting a turbo up and the map above meanx little of I cannot predict the sweet spot.
  10. single, screw the twins...I wonder how much what you are saying about the converter would apply?? Guess I am skeptical that you could get that many more RPM's out. Are there any times for 6.0L Larger Frame turbo SS's?? I know there has to be one. Gonna be an interesting spring if all these guys who now have TVS blowers and some have the spacer too are going to get times or what HP would you have to shoot for to run your goal of 10.99? Since you are local you might understand this, but I am constantly looking for a new take off blower from a ctsv or vette. I know too many people and with GM local....and the new rotors would be another supercharger route that allows you to keep that exhaust you just built.
  11. did you add rear steam vents while the intake was off?? Looks good, balling D1!
  12. fab the turbo. Blow the dieing motor and/or Blow the 4L65e 4L80e swap, beef up AWD convert to 4WD ?? Blow second JY motor and decide to build better long block, but if your turbo is sized right you wont need to add extra c.i. Up the boost, break more stuff...sounds like so much fun! I just dont think you will go fast enough for you on that head unit. But if you go turbo the truck it self loses some if its reliability, but any 10sec ride is going to be a hand full fore sure. Who/ HOw do you think the turbo would layout?? I am tired of this winter here too!
  13. I thought that the LSa LS9 had acessorie drives that had the same water pump offset as the trucks??? so the fab work would be in getting a 8rib pulley on the snout of the blower, not as bad as it used to be for the car vs truck guys...Seems like its also easier to use a car intake on NNBS trucks...

    Z06 Brakes

gonna be hard to get baer $$ out of the budget big brake kit...
  15. DUDE! I am drinking to you tonight. Glad you got this worked out and back on the road. I have a similar deal on my drivers side head too and a list of stuff to tackle when the head is off...you have me a little motivated to get at it.
  16. start scanning...and looking at the scans. if you have an understanding of how to record the data, it will make any 'tuning' so much easier. I took a log from a friend and his tuned ttbss was full of knock! So I would start looking at the air its moving, then as you make changes you will see the engine use more air, but I would not expect much...and less as the trucks get newer. I have heard of newer trucks not responding in stock form tto tuning???? its all about being about to see if your changes are making any difference, say you add timing and you think it will help, but unless you kjnow it is getting the commanded advance then you can not tell if your changes are helping/hurting good luck and post up if you have more questions.
  17. corvette start button JFYI http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-Corvette-05-10-Dash-Ignition-Start-Switch-OEM-/270665227633?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item3f04e79d71
  18. I am gonna throw this out here...do you think that the GM blowers will be affordable? They will be in a few cars so they should have parts? I am looking at motortrend and the ZL1 article and it just got me wondering if you can get a ZR1 blower from the parts department for $7k I wonder if you can get the camaro parts for similar price or even a hook up if you know someone?? Parts guys whats your say?? I want one thing and have the budget for something less
  19. sorry to hear...now lets see some pics, maybe it will motivate me to sell mine(03 w/47K)

  21. PN 19207950 Needs a controller, but that might just be a hobbs switch and a boost a pump wring?? http://www.gmhightechperformance.com/tech/lsx_engine/ghtp_1111_ls9_engine_install_in_fifth_gen_camaro/photo_26.html Gotta see what it costs...$355 from gmdirect bet you could find it cheaper...
  22. awsome video...I was amazed at the speed some people took down that street!
  23. the part number for the Honda S2000 is floating around for a start button...I like it, but my modding is now limited to speed!
  24. Nice 'little' car Bob. I vote we try to put it in the bed of the truck and then run it down the track It is nice not having to worry about the truck so much? I bet parking is easy as pie too!
  25. the differance between flux-core and gas shielding is huge! the amount of mess and spatter can be discouraging, and with a MIG its so clean (espically after using stick welders to learn arc control/puddle control. I have the miller too and its dual 220/110V, shit my plasma cutter needs more juice to run:) I love to use it and look forward to building a DIY hot side of a turbo...one day
