TQ MAGT>Engine>AC compressor TQ vs IAT - - - - - - 90 111 113 154 176 198 1.992 1.992 1.992 1.992 9.492 11.992 15.000 18.008 20.000 21.992 25.000 32.500 35.996 38.008 39.004 40.000 how would you modify these values? the value w temps above are the ones I would need to change since they would be the one that would matter....any hotter or colder and you will not be running the AC. should I select the one I want to raise, and then multiply them by like 10%? or should I find the difference between them and add a certain amount? I find my self thinking back to math class and different equations represent different curves, and looking at these HPT tables I try to remember the equation and add values that come from that generic eq. I am not polished enough to argue it or anything but I know random is really hard, and most times there can be some math behind things (the golden ratio blows my mind!!) So if I take my data and put it into excell I can generate functions...technology is amzing...trendline. sorry I am typing this post and playing with HPT and Excell gonna post this....but I put a second order polynomial trandline in and my guess for how to move it is a little better

  4. so are these like G8's just re-branded? and how are they still using 6.0's...I did not know there was a genIV 6.0L I thought they were all 6.2's??? I could be wrong...b/c the MSP do sweet write ups
  5. is the CEL on? have you tried to pull the codes? I would not tune untill you have this fixed. take it to autozone and pull the cods and report back.

  7. hpt will run on some old ass versions of windows...so I would guess it wont be long till someone finds a way...i think two forums for them opened up yesterday just bc they were becoming so available . I would only need to use the scanner and the tuning I would still use the laptop. I am realistic to how much of a long shot this is...but guys have apple's that run windows so go figure the port is mini-USB. dont know how much USB's like to be converted and then how much the interface will like it??? I have heard that BB is going to try and return them to HP...so one of those two will eventually get more. This is (I Hope) the next 'roush tvs' deal...you might still find them but nowhere under the $2K they first hit ebay
  8. so I just got on on Barnsand Nobel. I hope it will eventually run HPT but for now its gonna be a toy. if you are out and about these are the 'it' thing...till they are sold out I'll post back when it gets here keep yuour finger crossed.
  9. I want a dyno. I am chasing .3 I bailed on a TNT b/c I wasnt confident I was ready with what I have. would a LS3 timing map be worth trying?
  10. you can also get 2-piece rotors, they are more expensive but lighter. I am also pretty confident that all GM's that run the fixed six piston brake caliper are the same. CTS-v, zo6's, Grand sport's. giving you some more things to look for, but they are still hard to come by. They are different colors for those models too, so they dont have to be red silver, blue and orange?? would have to do some internet searching to make sure.

I have two unsupported parameters in the config Kevin posted. under delivered engine torque and on the right under trans input shaft RPM...are those PID I need to enter??? any tips for using this?? Should I watch the torque or the load?? In the one log I saw 400ftlbs of tq at max....next run it only made it up to 390's

I was reading that the cracker is not active untill you use the rolling idle, that is new in the beta...so alot of guys have been fighting with these tables only to find out they are not active untill you have made the changes in the rolling stuff. thanks guys. On the Greg class....it would be nice, but its too costly...and I would rather chip in to fly Mike out
  16. here is a log with a WOT. about 1000 frames in. I am only commanding 27 at WOT. no knock and my PE is dead on for what its calling for its getting Brad, Renaldo, Kevin... could you look this over one time as I am going to start throwing some more timing in the WOT sections. I am posting my latest tune with 2' added to the arears where I logged in the run. I am going to try to get a few more logs this week and keep adding timing... the config is already posted another thing, how do I add air or what ever for helping my AC turning on, when I turn it on, it creates surging. more so at idle, but I can feel it when I am coasting. timing1.hpt pizza2wot.hpl
  17. I did not think that at all, I know you have a 'thing' with those cathedral's I got too good a deal on alot of my swap parts so that pushed me to the GEN4 stuff.
  18. Brad, I wish you could feel my truck to get a good comparison....cam research almost killed me. I ended up pretty mild, only thing I would have liked was to get the lift into the .600" where the head really flows, but when I did my swap there were not as many running set-ups to get PTV measurements. Now guys are running more cam with my same set up and less worry about kissing a valve.
  19. they are worth it if you get them cheaper than from GM and they are complete....AND b/c they are in decent demand so you could sell the pretty easy (BUY cheap ) and if thats the casting # for the nice valves more reason My L92 build was budgeted to be cheaper than a radix. I felt I could get a similar ET and be at a better starting point for some boost.

  21. I think a member here painted that truck...and a few cough silverado's with POWER cough....but I have gotten no feelers on a last body year SS model for the silverado, might skip a generation??

  23. i just matched all the timing tables and that helped, alot. I think the rest can be fixxed with the over/under speed settings. its funny how some times I hate the tuning and then some times i am like this is GREAT!
  24. should my idle timing and my high octane table match? I dont think they do...
