A sunroof is a hole in the roof and it will leak not a matter of if but when..... I wish mine didn't have one. Ive seen too many problems when I worked at a dealer I would never buy one.

Those are some good write up's. The first one the guy mentions using silicone..... Do not use that! Second link mentions GM sealer that is the correct sealant. It is expensive but does work the best. So is your truck missing the SS dash badge? I wonder if it is still available from GM? On the intimidator trucks it had a "intimidator" above the SS badge.

Yeah I know it won't be cheap but then again I don't think the z06 brake conversion is either. By the time you buy the brackets, calipers and larger rotors you would be in the same ball park. I just like that it's all OE parts. I'm a brake geek.... I work for a OEM as the manager for brakes in the aftermarket lol.

I was looking through the GM performance catalog and I stumbled upon this brake upgrade kit for 1/2 trucks. Now it says it for 14 up trucks but I swear I saw on another forum that a guy took the new FNC rotors from the newest gen truck and put on a 07-13 body style truck. Now the '06 up used the same front brake system so maybe... just maybe this might fit. No pricing yet but it looks dang cool!

I forgot that part. Your right the fronts got the slightly larger disc's from the sport utilities. It's 1inch larger with a twin pot caliper.

Yep good news. Here where I live we had a community meeting. The DA in Charlotte refuses to punish people who steal cars. Even if they catch the person in the car the DA won't press charges. The police told us at our community meeting who's to say you didn't let the thief "borrow" it. The police offices express their frustration as well with how they "punish" (or lack there of) car thief's. Unless they catch them in the act of actually hotwiring the vehicle they won't arrest them. And that folks is what's wrong with this country....

Correct sort of..... 05s mid year you could get cloth. The 06 and 07s had the 4L65 but starting in mid 05 with 2wd you got the larger rear end with drum brakes on the back.

I'm not sure what your friends "action" is.... But it sounds fun lol! ?
