Nah. Half a day job if you haven't done it before and just Google for parts. Like mentioned, be sure to spend an extra 20$ to get the case saver to prevent any pump rub.
Got it!
Thanks once again Chief.

Making me really jump on a lip.

Possible chain skipping a tooth in the t case. Not to uncommon. New chains are about $100.
Where can I source this chain from?
Any help on a write up, im guessing it should be to hard for me to do.
Def chain, don't forget to do the case saver while ur in there.
Elaborate please.

After countless searching, still no luck.
Recently my truck started making this horrible popping noise under hard acceleration.
Ive had a similar issue on my 300zx when my carrier bearing went out on the driveshaft.
To my understanding these trucks have one piece driveshafts.
My guess would be the issue is coming from the front driveshaft or the transfer case.
If I drive normal I don't have any issues, nor any leaks, its only when I step on it that I start getting the hard popping from my front/mid section.
Any help would be great.

What kind of intercooler are you going to run kaze?
Not sure yet boss.
Probably nothing to spectacular.

Looks like I still need a rear bumper, getting that other one shipped seems to have fallen through.
I could probably just get a junkyard regular truck bumper and brackets, make my somewhat-damaged top step pad work and just buy the main cover, my lower step pad is fine. But it sure would be nice to just get a complete bumper from someone who has parted out a truck or put on a roll pan.
Anybody?
Richard
Good luck on the bumper.
Im getting mine replaced on my truck as we speak, I think it came out to be upwards of 500 bucks from the dealership.

Hate to bug you again but you're not having any clearance issues with those wheels? I test-drove that SS on craigslist that has repro 22's and the guy was super worried about taking it very slow over bumps because his tires would hit the fenders. Pretty sure his tires were too big for the drop, though, but I do recall feeling like the edge of the wheel was too far out in relation to the front fender lip.
Do you recall which brand they are (Factory Reproductions, OE Wheels, etc.?) and what the exact size & backspacing are?
I'm trying to pick some wheels for mine and I'm new to figuring out what will fit on a dropped GMT800.
Here's the pics from his ad, don't get me wrong I'm totally not trying to bag on this dude or his truck. He was cool enough to take the time to let me test drive it although I had other ones to look at and ended up buying a different truck.
Richard
Here's the link to the exact vendor I got my wheels from.
Offset is +30mm, so im guessing anything more would be pushing it.
That guys tires look bigger than mine, and hes at least at a 6" drop.
If you wanted to run tires that big, im sure that's something a fender roll could easily fix.

Whats up, nice to see another SS in Houston.

What would be the benefits of running both. Instead of just meth?
More efficient, and more cooling.
If anything id say ditch the meth, and just run e85.
-
Exactly!
Jusy run both, im sure a shop can fab up a decent IC kit for a few hundred bucks.

Good to hear chief!
Congrats on your little blessing.

Truck looks sharp! How's the ride, and what did you do with the snubber bumpers or whatever they're called on this suspension setup? I know when people treat 'em like they're just a bump stop and not an active suspension component, go to cut them for clearance, the ride goes to hell. I'm a big fan of lowering but only in ways that doesn't screw up the ride. I'm new to the GMT800 platform so have a bit to learn.
Its not that bad, only when Ive got a load, or a trailer hooked up to it, and no I didn't have to cut the bump stops.
Im looking into finally getting a notch and getting helper bags once I get her out of the shop.
Ride should be ten times better.

Not a bad deal. What part of Texas are you in?

Hows your cvs lol ?
Been holding up so far, idk if you can tell but its lifted about an inch higher lol.
Might buy those axles they mentioned in another thread that you can buy lengthened.
I think its from a place in cali.

Wow that's fkn gorgeous, post more pics.
As much as I hate the idea of clones, I do love how beautiful they look.
I found a guy who builds replica kits and might just go that route.
truck looks sweet. what suspension mods and wheels/tires are you running? love the over all stance and tire size.
love the over all look. What suspension mods are you using? what wheel/tire size are you running?
Thanks chief.
Im at a 4/5 drop
Front, im on DJM 3" Lowering A arms, with DJM drop keys. Rear, I've got a flip kit with a 1" lift shackle.
Wheels and tires are Replica 22's with 285/35 size tires.

Wow I was actually looking into this today.
Ive always hated the type of leather our trucks have, its horrible.
Got my truck in the shop getting some TLC, and was considering red leather diamond seats..
