  2. check your blower fan. after a while the bearings can go bad and start to squeak.sometimes you can just clean out the motor, and use some 3-1 oil on the bearings, and it can last a few more years. if not replace.. good luck
  3. thanks for all the hard work over the years...
  4. found this.. the top of the top in dead beat tax payers. . $232,915,560.23 just from these nice people.. https://www.ftb.ca.gov/aboutFTB/Delinquent_Taxpayers.shtml
  5. http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/devices/aftermktdevice.php you can check here for info..i had a list of all after market cats that met CARB. specs. but can't find them.. most "high flow" cats will not flow any better than stock ones in good condition IMO..the other 49 state cats, still meet the same Federal standards as CA. cats.
  6. sometimes the bcm will have a brain fart and not switch off certain items that need to at shut off. some have found disconnecting the negative cable will reset it. some needed to be reflashed to correct it.. just one more issue to add to your list.. good luck..
  7. young pups.. 58. bought new in Aug.03
  8. i would disappear off shore with the $$$...
  9. i would not go over $500. if it turns out to be not putting time/effort/money into it, you can sell at least the drive train and recoup your losses.. good luck
  10. any though's of going with a 408 instead of the 6.2 ?
  11. that's BS..i would go over the agents head who said that to the corp. bosses..that is why we pay such high rates. mine got sand blasted during a bad windstorm last year, my insurance co. sent a adjuster out and with out a issue cut a check for a little over $11,000 for re paint, glass, grill head lights, the works..i would fight it for the repairs and ounce it was done i would drop them.. good luck
  12. most times it can reset with in 100 mi. drive it around for a week or so should do it..
  13. you need to drive it more.. you need XX number of start/run cycles for the emission codes to set ready..
  14. your lucky..i pay $1300 a year thru SF.. going on 58, and the last accident i had was in 1973..

  17. Dcairns use to fly large scale RC gliders years back so the cap would be great for his needs..Champion210 is into fishing (poor worms ) so i can see the need..at least it's not a ladder rack like the black one I've seen they look a lot better than some of the tire/rim combos i have seen here over the years..
  18. pull the head lights. i put a lite coat of dielectric grease on the rubber boot, and made it easier to slide on. then you can tighten the clamp with a long screw driver, or a 5/16 on a extension. have a couple HD zip ties handy and ounce the tube is secured over the break duct, then tighten the clamp. take the zip ties and go around the tube and bumper bracket and tighten..very simple once you see it in place... good luck
  19. with my Volant, my air intake temps run about 3-4* above ambient temp..
  20. i got mine from a dealer who sells caps and covers of all makes. cost around $1100 painted, shipped, and installed. best thing was if it was damaged in shipping or the paint was not right, or a warranty issue they would take care of all shipping costs. if someone wants your business with the way the economy is now they should work with you on a good deal.. good luck
