  1. I buy the cheap 2 for $10.00 because I always loose or break my sunglasses.
  2. If I had to make a educated guess, I would say your push rods are too short. The reason the noise is loud at first and get's quieter after it runs is because your lifters pump up and take up some of the "slack" in the valvetrain. Is the cam you are using a reground stock cam with a smaller base circle?
  3. I beleive he is saying the head of the bolt is stripped, not the threads. I have the very same headers and I installed them with the stock bolts and gaskets too. The only leaks that I have are very small ones between the collectors and head pipes. The only reason they are even leaking is because I tried connecting them w/o gaskets, hoping the two surfaces were flat enough. I have the gaskets, I just haven't gotten around to putting them in.
  4. Try this one http://www.camelstyle.net/view/index.shtml
  5. I would just shave your handles and the money you were going to spend on the Escalade handles, buy door poppers. That way your truck couldn't be broken into the way it was before. Next time tgey will just bust the window out.
  6. Wanna sell it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Naw, It's worth more to me to keep it. I might still use it on my truck and if not I know I will use it on something else later on down the road.
  7. Mine used to look like this... before the supercharger
  8. Should I put my truck on here? laughatrice.com
  9. I hate to hear that. I see your location and that kind of crap happens all the time in ATL. Makes you want to hurt somebody really bad
  10. 03 was the first year of the Automatic Dual Zone Climate Control. GM made a small change in 04. On the 03 models when the snowflake with a line through it is on, the A/C is off and the A/C compressor will not kick off and on. On the 04-up, it is just the opposite. If the snowflake is lit up, the A/C is on. Why the A/C compressor will kick off and on even when it is blowing hot air, I don't know.
  11. Is this what you are looking for? http://www.newstalgiawheel.com
  12. I just lucky because I didn't have to aim mine.
  13. They are the same color as your stock headlights. You will have to change the bulbs out if you want any other color
  14. So what you are saying is d_a_n_payne didn't have a hard time spending the money that litylshue sent him, but now that it is gone, litylshue have to "wait quite a while" to get his money back. I don't know d_a_n_payne either, but if someone was calling me out in front of the entire forum I would speak up and defend myself. I can't say for sure but isn't d_a_n_payne the same member who had a problem with a nitrous soleniod sticking and destroying his engine in his SS? He then took the truck to the dealer, played dumb and got them to warranty it. Isn't this also the same guy who got rid of his SS and got a 2wd Tahoe and dumped a bunch of money into it (wheels, electronics, rollpan, ect.)? My point is, it doesn't look like d_a_n_payne is hurting for money and he is willing to screw someone over. I could be completely wrong about everything and for litylshue's sake, I hope that I am. These are some posts he left on my cardomain page Posted by d_a_n_payne 12/04/2003, 11:48amI LOVE your truck! Where did you get the centercaps!?!?! I have some KMC Thunders and I want the Chevrolet centercaps, too. Could you help me out??? You beat me to the nitrous! I should be getting it in the next month, maybe Christmas. Come check out my SS! Posted by d_a_n_payne 02/11/2004, 01:49pmAnd will it be a problem hitting the nitrous with my Hypertech Programer? Posted by d_a_n_payne 02/11/2004, 01:41pmAre you using a bottle heater on your bottle? I am fixin to put my kit in and I am kinda worried about putting the bottle in the bed and it blowing up or somethin. I might be exagerrating, but do you think I need a heater? Maybe he spent all of his money funneling beer?
  15. If there is a black mark on one side of the driveshaft and not a ring all the way around it, it is very likely the mark got there when the truck was built. The driveshaft goes in while the frame is upside down. I noticed the black mark on mine the first couple of days I had my truck and I knew there was no way that it had hit unless it was from when they strapped the truck down on the car hauler.
  16. How and why? Q: property included? or just the vehicles/parts on the property? Dec-18-06 A: The property is free to the high bidder of this auction. Nothing wrong with the land, it is a very nice parcel (3.9 acres). House needs a lot of work, but is livable if you are not too fussy. They would come out a lot better if they had a estate auction and let people buy some of the stuff in lots or pieces. Hemi with a one barrel?
  17. The reason I ask is because you say "horrid on the highway because of the heat soak." My Whipple runs super cool. It doesn't matter the temperture of the engine, you can put your hand on the supercharger and it's not even hot. I don't know about other superchargers, but I know with the Vortech, it get's just as hot, if not hotter than the rest of the engine. Like all superchargers, the Whipples would definitely benefit from a intercooler, but as a whole they run very cool. You have a lot more experience with superchargers than I do, but I have to disagree with the heat soak of a Whipple. Most of my experience is with nitrous. I think Whipples are best for mild applications, like Magnachargers, they just run out at upper RPMs.
  18. I'm just wondering your about your bias of your opinion. Do you have experience with a Whipple and other superchargers?
  19. I have played with dry ice alot and your not going to freeze the water in your box. The one thing you do have to worry about is building up pressure and exploding the ice box. These links will give you the idea BOOM! You will have to have it vented and then you will have the dry ice "smoke" leaking out and possibly not letting you run your truck down the track. Dry ice really doesn't last that long before it melts either.
