  1. On a side note... true to their form the assholes have already started to show their heads on TrailblazerSS.com... I don't even know why I bother posting anything over there.  :shakehead:

:withstupid: I was very dissapointed with the forum over there ... I occassionally browse just incase something somewhat techincal comes out of it ... but I wouldn't trust anything they come up with though ... I have a certain comfort level with the info I get from this site.

I shot Mervz a PM today about how a lot of people are starting to feel about that forum, I know he doesn't have the time to be on there all the time, so I doubt hes aware of how things go on there. I for one don't plan on going on there anymore... its just to aggrivating.

  2. Word... I just don't get the arrogance and general bad attitude over there considering it is our "sister site". I decided that I'm done over there... that will be my last post... **** em IMO.

I'm saving the engine cover pics until its back on the truck... I should have it back next week.

  3. i wonder why they have it marked as 5200 lbs?? i know it doesent weigh that. do they do street tuning also? did they have a wideband hooked up?

Nice numbers man!  I cant believe they squeezed that much torque out of it.  What were your baseline numbers?  looks like you gained something like 15-20HP and 20-25ft-lbs of torque if my guesstimations are correct!

Can the do tuning on the street for the AWD dudes?

They do street tuning... as a matter of fact the guy who did all my work (Scott Brown) Owns an 04 Silverado SS that he tweaks pretty regularly as well as a brand new Z06... which apparently with multiple pulls he has only been able to get an extra 9hp out of... basically that car was pretty much dead-nuts on from the factory.

I let Scott know there would be a fair amount of guys from the area interested in talking to him... I mentioned both of your guys trucks in particular. Just give him a call @ 909-626-5232 and let him know Dylan ("the guy with the SS trailblazer") referred you. Its around $400 for a complete tune on the dyno... not sure if the rates are different for a street tune.

  4. Final results from dyno tuning at Van Gordon & Brown racing today

348 HP and 391.5 FT/LBS AT THE REAR WHEELS!!

Not too shabby for a guy with only an intake and exhaust. Its a whole different beast now... its amazing how much they were able to squeeze out of this thing.

If anyone is looking for an AMAZING dyno tuning shop in the So Cal area you need to hit Van Gordon & Brown Racing in Claremont. No AWD unfortuneatly... but for the 2wd guys this is the place IMO.

I'm gonna go drive around some more... its like getting a whole new vehicle

  5. Used silverado floormats. These were in my SSS until I got the Lloyds Mats... passenger front and both rear are practically new... the drivers matt is discolored just from use, but doesn't have any stains or any other damage.

I think you forgot to press your "COCKS LAP" button :jester:

  7. I don't know about quality wise, but I have ridden in my friends RR and its one of the most luxurious SUV's I've ever been in... I guess if you just want flat out comfort then thats the way to go... I think they look awesome too... but obviously they don't have the balls to back up the looks. :D

  8. Before anyone even says it... I know the RR ain't the most challenging of races... I just enjoyed putting this guy down.

My drive home involves a shot down Milliken Ave from the 210 freeway... as the local guys will know, its 3 lanes, downhill w/ mostly stale green lights, 50mph speed limit and most people do about 75 on it...

Anyways, I exited the freeway behind a BRAND NEW rover.... black on black windows tinted beyond limo... nice lookin ride. When we made our turn onto Milliken the guy jumps on it and I didn't react... I watched him just weave in and out of traffic and when he got to the next light he acted like he wanted to race the ford explorer next to him.

I worked my way thru the pack, still watching this guy try and race everyone and I got my chance at the next light. I let him launch and he was on it.... I gave it about 3/4 throttle and paced him then around 40mph I dropped the hammer :smash: GOOD BYE ROVER!!

I shut it down just over 80mph and the guy repaid the ass beating with a ricer flyby.... man it felt good to put him in his place.

  9. check out summit.com they have some nice stuff on sale right now, if not ebay is always good times. if you go dylan you can borrow my helmet when you run , but we have to be in way opposite groups so we dont miss runs!

Thanks Chase... I think I've got a line on a decent helmet for a good price so I won't make you share with me... I've gotta run w/ you at least once so I can get my ass handed to me :jester:

  10. Important!!!!!

A DOT Helmet is not good enough.

Helmet: Required in all vehicles faster than 13.99 seconds. Helmet must meet SNELL 95 or better standards (must have label inside of helmet). NOTE: In January 2007 the requirement will be SNELL 2000 or better.

"Click here" and read all of the rules if you are not familiar with them.

Well shit... anyone got a recommendation on where to buy a "legal" helmet for a decent price??

  11. how u gonna say that......i mean i honestly dont bag on no ones truck, even if there not on this forum...even if you dont like it, you have to respect the fact that its tasteful and orginall in its own way.......like take your truck for instance, i would poop on my own truck and run stock wheels before i put your aftermarket wheels on....but thats my opinion, i still respect the fact that u changed ur wheels even tho i dont like them

Theres a fine line between innovative and idiotic... this falls in the ladder category. Like I posted above... he couldn't even drive into TruckJam with the rims on.... he parked, took off the regular wheels and bolted those on.

I don't know about you, but if they make the truck completely NOT FUNCTIONAL then it is a pointless mod and deserving of ridicule IMO.
