  1. GM customer service is a joke. It never ceases to amaze me. every time I get a tire rotation, they put the wheel center caps on wrong ! scares me too, what else do they do wrong....I did find a good dealer in my area though, so my GTO, TBSS and SSS all go there whenever possible, they even do warranty items despite not being a Chevy dealer! It's all about the service writer you deal with, they can convince their superiors of the right thing to do.
  2. quote] What was done for the front diff noise if anything? Congrats on the 100 K miles! They looked at it a few times in the beginning, but the end of the day it was considered normal. I guess I just got used to it. I have had no driveline issues so, I guess it's no problem.
  3. I tow a 6k tandem all the time. Power is not an issue. Rear suspension and tires will need attention and for sure a brake controller assuming the trailer has electric brakes. I went with air ride and sway bars but no change in tires. But for that weight...tires would be an issue IMO.
  4. Maybe injectors....but valve seals/ guides? I'm not ready to open the motor.....when that time comes, I have other plans
  5. Nothing major....the usual steering clunk and front diff noise....I often tow a 6k lb trailer too! I have a Volant CAI, PCM for less tune, custom exaust and a Zippy shift kit. 80 % of the miles are highway, and I still have the factory brake pads! I love this truck! I want to get 250k out of it.
  6. Coming up on 100k. Looking for ideas for plugs, coil packs, etc. Truck is almost stock and a daily driver. Never had problems. But, hey..If I'm gonna replace parts, why not get the good stuff?
  7. My '03 has almost 85k on it. I would'nt take less than about 17.5k for it. I tow a 6800# trailer with it all the time, in fact I've done it coast to coast. I do take very good care of it. Serviced every 3k no matter what. Only issue I've ever had is the usual noisy front diff. and I had a CV boot go out on me. Still have the original brakes!!!! ( I do have trailer brakes )
  8. Anyone interested in a '04 GTO M6 with 20k miles. Cosmic Purple, all stock except KN filter. Dealer serviced every 3k miles Synthetic fluids. Garage kept. Never seen winter. Sacrafice, Asking 22500. firm. Wife says it has to go if I want C6 If interested PM or email. Thanks
  9. That CAI has a bladder that holds air for extra demand right? Hmmmm
  10. I use Malco. "Plum Crazy" Glaze machine applied/removed. Then follow with 2 coats of wax. DetailSupplyDepot.com
  11. I pull a 6800# trailer all the time. No problems. I Put bags on it to help keep it level. Brake controller..etc. Hell, I don't even know what my hitch weight is.
  12. If I had my motor all tricked out, I would'nt expect a mail order tune to be worth a damn. Put the thing on a dyno and plug it in to a laptop. Anything else is a waste of $. IMHO Brian has done right by me. No problems here!
  13. Thanks, It looks like the HVAC ducts and steel structure will be in the way. I think I'll sacrifice the small tray area at the back between the HVAC ducts for the rear. I never use it anyway.
  14. I'm thinking about putting the guages/switches in the side of the console down to a few inches above where console meets carpet. I can't stand them being by my knees. I only need to look at them when I hook up my trailer or add a major load. I wonder if there's room there?
  15. My trailer used to hold the rear down quite a bit. I just put in bags with the dual controller so I kept the sway help. Ride height stays the same no matter what I tow or load in the bed. Works pretty slick, only $400. total.

    Hail

PDR is amazing. I got nailed in Colorado with golf ball sized hail with 60+ mph wind. I thought no way they could fix it. Now you can't even tell.
  17. Yup, same issue. Factory replacement is not a permanent cure either. Supposedly its all mfr's trucks with same problem. I'm getting the Borgeson for about $189. from Jegs. Hopefully the dealer will do the labor under GMPP. If not, they'll have to deal with it forever, out of warranty or not.
  18. The main grille goes over the stock and is held on with stainless tie wires. The 3 in the bumper have clips that hold them in after you remove the stock pieces. I did not paint the stock grille.
  19. I just got one for 20 over. the fine is $95. + $30 for Traffic School. If I stay clean for 1 year, the ticket goes away completely. If I get another ticket within the year, Both show on my record and no Traffic school is allowed. About 2 years ago, I got caught in Colorado. He wrote me for 94mph but we both knew I was on my speed limiter. He was cool and he liked my truck. At 96 he would have had to take me to jail and impound my truck. The fine was $64.
  20. What a freakin joke. Their Governor is no better.
