I've had people flash me many times and I have factory with the same bulbs that the factory put in, never had one burn out yet. Depending on the mood I'm in I'll either just ignore them or I'll flash my high beams to prove I've got the lows on.
When I'm stuck behind some car driving really slow, I'll ride their bumper and blind them.

Geez, I've never really used my CD player in the SS and I have the 6 disk system too. After I got the truck I stuck in the on star cd and a linkin park cd and just left them. I just listen to XM all the time. My daily driver has a 6 disk CD player as well and I've got 3 doors down, Chevelle, Trapped, All American Rejects, Blink 182, and a mixed CD that I made. But I usually just listen to XM about 98% of the time in that car.

The chrome on the rear bumper of my 1999 K-1500 started to come off with a big rust hole under it, the truck was only 2yrs old when that started.

I never understood why people like to burn out their tires and why people like to watch it. I find it to be stupid as hell.

Back in the spring time I looked at a black 05 limited with the hemi v8, still had the factory plastic covering everything. To tell you the truth, I hatted it. I liked the looks of the outside and the chrome it had looked good with the shinny black paint, but the inside was ugly. It had the nice heated leather but they were rock hard and I could not stand the layout of the dash and the looks of it, this one had the touch screen NAV system with backup camera. There also was like no room in the rear cargo area, its all cut out with that rear sloping roof.
I also have know people with them in the past and present and so far I have not heard one good thing about them. Now I have heard people with the Cherokee Classics say nothing but good things about those.

take an old credit card or something soft plastic and then wedge it down between the bottom rubber stripping and the outside of the window. This is usually where it is frozen. This will free it up and not scratch anything.
This is what I've always done, just in my case I use my gym membership card. : )

I was reading about them somewhere months ago. GM said that they didn't call it a SS because they felt that they had gone over board with the SS name plate over the last few years and wanted to keep away from it and just call it a S.

Sorry to hear, some cops are jerks who are power hungry douches.
I got pulled over a few weeks ago by a county sheriff in a local county park. The jerk had the car facing into a hillside not facing the road and he was standing outside of the car talking to someone. I see the jerk all the time and he's always giving me dirty looks and goes flying through the park roads, almost running people over. Hell, one time he was flying so fast that he almost his someone, the lady had to jump into a grassy area to escape. So when I pulled into the park entrance I seen the prick and revved the engine as I drove past since I hate the prick. Well about 1/3 mile down the road, he pulls me over SCREAMING at me at the top of his lungs saying he clocked me at 40mph and almost ran over some people walking their dog. I was so pissed and knew for a fact that I was NOT going 40mpr in a 15 that I was a real dick with him and was pushing his buttons. To make a long story short (he spent 13mins screaming at me) he gave me back my things and said he was letting me go this one time and the next time he sees my truck going just 1mph over the limit, that he was throwing the book at me and would have to attend traffic school. What BS!!!!
I'm sorry to say, but there are some cops who should not be out there.

Well guys, I just got back from an 8hr round trip drive. The truck was NOT near as clean as it looks in the pix. The painted stripes are very UN-professionally done, the hood pins have rust on them (they're the cheap ones) and the tires are FAR from "brand new" as stated in the description. I didnt even drive it, after looking at it for 45 seconds I knew I didnt want it. Sux ass to say the least. Oh well, I'll keep looking.
Dammit, I was really looking forward to hearing you got it. Did you get your deposit back? Guess this goes to show you that you just can not go by pics you see online of something, must look in person. I cant begin to say how many times this same thing happened to me. It's a bummer.
Keep looking, I am sure you will find another one in better shape.

Nice. I hate christmas and never put up a tree anymore. But this is one that I would not mind putting up for display in my living room. The only problem is that I am a captain morgan person, so it may take me more to make my tree.

It does look like the P.O. took good care of her. Are those aftermarket brakes too, or just painted calipers? I never knew the 2003's had the carpet inlay in the top of the door panels either...?
Ya, mine has the carpet inlay on the door panels. I am pretty sure that all 2003's had this and then switched to the fake, ugly vinyl in 04. I prefer the looks of the carpet over the ugly vinyl.

Sorry, just felt like saying the same thing others were thinking. I guess I have no room to talk myself here. All my friends think I am loaded because I have my SS (which is paid off) and I just got a new 30k SUV in May of this year that I'll have paid off in a couple months.
But on a positive note, congrats on the new truck, I wouldn't mind having a new 1500 Silverado for myself, the interior in the new body style are damn nice.

Hope everyone had a safe and fun Thanksgiving yesterday. I worked 12 hours straight yesterday but I put in to work all the bonus shifts. Made a bucket full of extra cash. $$$$$$$
On a negative note, there sure were a lot of drunks on the road last night coming home from work, where were all the cops at???

Why does everyone have problems with their transmissions going on these trucks? Is this only if you have yours modded or can this happen if your totally stock? Just curious, there has been a lot on here lately with this problem.

I dont get it, why can it take them up to 3 days just to put a new gauge cluster in? I had to get one earlier this year and I was in and out within an hour.
Oh, and I never got no such letter in the mail.
