Lindsey, Hope this link works for hotels on the north/northwest side of Indy: Hotel Info The range is from $100 a night & up These will put you about 6-10 miles from where we'll meet up on the westside and just a couple miles away from US31 (Meridian St) which I assume is how you'll be getting here. I live just west of Meridian off of 71st St so I'll be close to where you'll be staying Zippy has my cell if you need to call and it's posted on this tread as well Brian P.S. Residence Inn (lower part of page) is where Stewart stays when he comes for the 500. Says there may be rooms available but I would call them direct.

Found it: Grandmother’s Hoosier Peanut Bars 1/2 cup butter 1/c cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cup brown sugar 2 egg yolks 1 tsp vanilla 1 6oz package chocolate chips 3/4 cup peanuts chopped 2 cups flour 1 tsp soda 1/2 tsp salt cream butter and 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 brown sugar add egg yolks and vanilla and mix well mix dry ingredients and stir into butter mixture press into a 9×13 pan sprinkle chocolate chips over top sprinkle 1/2 cup peanuts beat 2 egg whites until firm add 1 cup brown sugar, beat until stiff spread over top sprinkle with rest of peanuts bake at 325 35 - 40 minutes

  16. Hey all Part 2 of Indy GTG September 13, 2008 We will meet up on the westside of Indy again probably around the Speedway area as some members have indicated they will be in town for the Moto GP race on Sunday September 14th. More details as to where later. Post up if you can make it

  18. Sorry to hear about your son. Hope he gets well soon. We just got back. Just 2 of us showed up Doug (DMF) and me and my wife. Staging Lanes was a nice little place for a beer. We went to Green Street Station in Brownsburg for dinner (very good prime rib) and a car show at the K-Mart there as well. I won $108.00 bucks on the 50/50 drawing, so that paid for everybody's beers and dinner Doug is active Air Force stationed at WPAFB in Dayton. Enjoyed meeting and talking to him. He's an Iraq vet He's hoping to make it back on the 13th Hope to have more of us show up on the 13th. I'll start another thread for it later.
