  1. By changing the spindles, lca's, or torsion keys. How much of a drop do you want?
  2. It did ring for me, but still no response. His credibility is going faster than the sale on here. No pics, no nothing
  3. If I thought you wanted stockers, I have those. I'm guessing you want to go lower in the rear right? You can put the leaf spring in the top hole of the shackles if you have the drop ones and it isn't there already. And if you don't tow much, remove a leaf, just not the overload leaf.
  4. I'd stroke and build the lq9. Choice of boost, spray, or n/a is up to you. Getting the truck in the 12's will be pretty easy with a 408. It still leaves a decent amount of the budget for the trans and other little upgrades you want. What mods are currently on the truck?
  5. All you damn Yankees Welcome from the south
  6. When it's pulled apart, make sure both surfaces are nice and clean before installing the new gasket. Then make sure it is torqued back together in sequence. Should be fine without rtv.
  7. I like the setup! Looks killer
  8. You can find a lower mileage truck cheaper. You should keep shopping around and the right one will pop up. GL man.
  9. Welcome man Your mod list will grow reading through the site, so hide your wallet now. Good lookin truck! You got the best color too Not big on the way you did the corners tho. I would have pulled them apart and just blacked out the corners inside.
  10. Welcome Killer lookin truck man I love that drop! Have you had any driveline or alignment issues?
  11. Who rebuilt the trans and who installed it? Make sure to check everywhere it could possibly leak from. It could be a pump seal and it's dripping out the bottom cap in the bell housing and flying back hitting the crossmember as you drive. Check the lines and anywhere there's a seal or gasket. Basically just look over the entire trans. Waiting on an update tho.
  12. It be nice to see you take on Shaun down the track John, I had a similar idea for when my truck gets stripped apart again. What else besides modding the cross member, driveshafts, harness, controller, and reluctor wheel, do you think would have to be done? I'm not worried about the custom work, just what parts I might need.
  13. Clean up the area with some degreaser and get off all the fluid already there. Drive around the block once or twice and visually inspect it again. Hopefully then you can pinpoint it. Can you get a pic for us? Don't forget to check your fluid too.
  14. I've gone through two sets of the blue plate specials from Raybestos before switching to the red ones because I was told they were "better". Luckily you had no debris and it's a cheap part. So how long is it gonna take you to polish everything up, get it back in, and get us a video of a sweet pass?
  15. Congrats Art You've always taken a lot of pride in your truck and it shows
  16. I'm glad I never had those damn things on my roof. Can't wait to see all the things you do to it. Looks good for now tho. How many miles do you have and how did you get a 2000 SS?
  17. You really like those rims huh? Nice looking rides man. Are you getting the 243s from a vette or goat?
  18. A shallow mount 12" woofer will hit harder and you'll have a better bass range with a 12" woofer. Having more airspace behind the sub in a smaller space with a box tuned for it will be your best option IMO. It will cost a bit more, but worth it. I loved my kickers and they would quad. However, my friends silverado with 2 pioneer shallow mounts In a probox hits harder and sounds better than my setup did.
  19. Have a good one guys
  20. Called and left a message earlier, but no pics or response. Maybe it's sold
  21. Building a truck on a school budget is tough, but it's looking good so far man. The white looks good, except for the ducts. Once you get the cladding, some billet, and some tints, you'll have yourself quite the little panty dropper.
  22. Welcome to the forum man You'll learn a lot reading through here if you're interested in doing a cam swap. With it usually comes a lot of other things like pushrods, springs, and a converter. But before you go jumping into that, get yourself some long tube headers, upgrade the trans a bit, and get yourself a tune. By doing that, you'll be in the mid or possibly low 14's. Still wanting more? Then think about a cam, or even going forced induction. Having the supporting mods will make the most of your power adding decision.
  23. Hell yeah!! Looks like good times man. Wonder how it affected your bowling skills
  24. I like a lifted truck and it can be done to an SS and still look good. That one is just
