Actually the next stop is the lube job again because there are 0 dealers that can order a shaft unless the truck has been in a wreck and the shaft is unusable.They are not replacing the shaft anymore which sucks because it was the only thing that atleast fixed the problem completely for a good 8,000 miles, the lube has really never worked only helped and it is extremely temp as it has only lasted me 1-2,500 miles before it is back again.

Im in, i had the shaft replaced at 8k before they went totally cheap and started using the lube kit which has been performed twice now and that lasted about 1,000 miles the first time it was lubed and now it's been about 2,500 and it's started to knock slightly again.I think im just going to deal with it untill they atleast replace the shaft which is the only thing that really solved the problem completely atleast for a couple months the first time, the lube kit does nothing and barley even masked the problem, simply it's not worth the time going to go to the dealer to not even fix the issue. Last time i was pissed and called gm's 800 number and bitched untill they gave me free of charge a 75k gmpp 0 deductable and started at 13k so im covered untill around 89k.I would still rather have a shaft that does not knock all over the place but atleast the gave me some piece of mind and made them dig in their pocket to accomidate me instead of the other way around. I have heard rumors of them working on another redesign but i fear that they have just quit on it and have made it into a maintance part which in turn they will charge people to fix once out of warranty and make money from it.I hope im wrong and they actually fix it but now with the new models out i can see them trying to sweep it under the rug and charge people at the same time!My advise with anyone still under warranty is call the 800 gm number and make as much noise as you can!

I agree, i think it's just not right to do something like that for a person that can afford to do it for themselves without even flinching at what the cost would be.The principle of this show when it started was to redo cars for people that in no way could ever do it for themselves with things like kids and bills coming first. Best eposode by far was one of the first hemi cars they did and the guy cried when they poped the hood and a brand new hemi was sitting in it, thats what is nice to see a guy getting something like that that would never in a million years be able to do such a thing like that for himself!Not some silver spoon a-hole who says wow thanks and goes and parks it inbetween his m-5 and f-40!

I use to love watching nascar but truth be told it cant hold my attention for more then ten minutes before im completely bored with it now.When they changed the championship points standings it really made this sport bad to watch imo.I dont know why they feel the need to seperate themselves from the fans that supported them when they were nothing, and these constant moves to try and globalize this sport has made it nothing but a watered down product thats about as exciting to watch as a 0-0 mls soccer game! Nascar needs to realize that it will not be loved anywhere but right here in this country, the sooner they realize this the better.Fact is Europe and the rest of the world like f-1, they are not going to change there minds period!They do not want to watch trillion pound cars go round and round in a circle, there happy with the sport they have with f-1 and im getting sick and tired of watching these idiots trying to force there product down the throats of people who could car less about it!

Grapes? ;) 9 years as a GM mechanic and you see Chrysler that have not held up "all the time" at your work...? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually it's the same in my shop were the trucks are used like trucks, the dodges are by far our biggest pos that break the most and have the most problems out of the gm's and fords.I would rather drive our fords that are over 12 years old and have twice the mileage and that have seen twice the abuse compared to our two dodges that are not even 6 years old and half the mileage.

I have been getting several in the last couple weeks, all saying i have either bought things or sold things and i have not logged into e-bay for more then 3 years!All the links go to non ebay sites so i know they are trying to scam me for my password and username and this is not legit, i tried sending a e-mail to e-bay but have not gotten any responce so i just delete all of them now!I dont have time to do the job that e-bay security should be doing, people i hope are smart enough to not type in there password or any info when the first 20 charactors of the web links have nothing at all to do with e-bay in them!

I love it are city barley has the money to keep operational, but yet the state seems to think it's a good idea to use my tax dollars to give new cars which i'm sorry they do not need to the state police. Sorry but titans have more problems then you could even imagine, at the most you might see 4 mpg better then a 6.0 and have the least reliable rated truck in the entire market!Sorry i cant stand nissans fullsize trucks just cruising titantalk scared me away from ever thinking of dropping my hard earned cash on one.It's the only vehical were ive seen more then one person not even make it off the lot before it had to visit the service department for problems.

Mabey they all installed them wrong, but all of them developed problems within the first week it seems, and the clunk they said was far worse then the original clunk from the stock shaft.Hopefully you have good luck be sure to keep us posted.

You didnt see 3 post up were it has already been tried and tested to be even worse then the gm one it replaces?Why waste 250 dollars atleast the gm one you can take it in and get a temp fix for a couple months this one when it starts to clunk you will SOL costing you even more time and money.Make a apointment and by the time you finish a cup of coffee they will be done, most techs have this down to about a 10-15 min fix.It's your money but why bother when other people have already tried to go down this road with no luck. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...pic=48685&st=50 There ya go not just one person here either it was everyone who bought that shaft pretty much got the shaft especially since it pretty much lasted everyone 1 week from the install and the clunk was far worse then the gm unit.I would really think about cancelling your order and using that money for some go fast parts.

There have been rumors from a gm tech on that site that gm is releaseing another revised shaft sometime later this year that will hopefully end these problems which is the main reason they are back to lubing instead of replacing with another flawed design. So you might want to wait and try it out instead of spending 250 bucks on a borg one, although these rumors have not been confirmed it's are best hope at this problem ending.

It's already over i cant see them even competing with italy, some say they are better then the team that just manhandled them yesterday 3-0.They were completely over matched yesterday and showed the gap difference between american soccer and europes version and it's huge.The guys on this team are simply to small,to slow and do not have the coaching needed to compete with the world at this sport.

Yeah this is very common problem with these trucks, i have already seen it with my rig just 8 thousand miles into my truck and just 4k later it is already starting to loosen up.It is pretty much a loose or vibration type feeling that you feel in the wheel, especially when the wheel is turned somewhat and going over bumps in the road.Only problem is now it's nothing but a lube job they do to it which imo will last even a shorter period then replacing the entire shaft assembly.
