i got my first one yeasterday am , but it wasnt your everyday challeneger check my thread im posting

there are two different legnth sleeves , one for the rear and front mount of the lower control arm , each is a different legnth. on the actual arm there is a small tapped hole for a "grease zerk" fitting its a small fitting that has a ball on one side(check valve for a grease gun) and a male threaded end on the other. this needs to be installed . but there is a metal sleeve in the arm itself and another that comes with the kit that goes in the arm . imo he isnt using the extra sleeve that is supposed to be used and that is where the play is coming from.

all 4l60/4l65/4l70's have a bad rep , they arent strong and can be killed by a stock motor but with basic cheap mods and good tuning they can last . driving behavior plays a bigger role in it as well. imo a shift kit and good servos(i like the vette's with 4th billet) will go a long way with basic mods. but after 500 hp i full built one will do just fine with everything i pointed out in check . 4l80's are also strong but heavier , a bit of work to swap in but a shift kit in one will go miles .

yeah , getting pics is hard when its parked in the garage. plan to take it out tomorrow for some pics and using it to pick up the new wheels at the powdercoater. also finished the led swap but i have a lil touch i plan to add tomorrow that no one has done yet. the interior got a big makeover as did the suspension . stay tuned

it wont be for me it will be for the better half. but it will get modded , just not to the extent of my truck. i have a plan im working on , going to be the first of its kind , a bolt on 10 second mod , the motor will remain untouched from oil pan to valve cover.

im planning to pick one up and it for sure will be 2wd. they are quite a bit quicker in stock form.

i drive alot and all over so cal , i havent seen a rolling smog stop in over a year. seems like they got stopped.

thanks man , its really not that hard imo im going to try something on the ac control , i want to use two blue and two red leds were i have the 3 in parallel on the slide's this way the colors of the leds are true to the colors on the slide , should look good .

i just finished the a/c controls and i went a little led crazy , one of the polarities is incorrect, its the 2nd manual a/c , the driver side slide cool/heat bulb is 180. ill double check but it got me stuck and luckily i had a multimeter and a 2nd unit to test against. here is the a/c internally, i just lit it up and there are no hot spots what so ever but it also took me about 4 hrs to do just this part

what show in corona ? still trying for the next show ill put some more effort into it as soon as im done with this led swap . between work and putting in the little details on the ss, i have less than no time what so ever. i have been sleeping an avg of 5 hrs a night for the past few months.

all i use is magnafuel filters and regulators and am considering two of the 4303 pumps for the next setup . i have a huge update ill try and get at tonight but its mostly done less the 4 link , the brackets for that will be here shortly so i can get to fabbing that up . i drove the ss with the new brakes and suspension setup along with a bunch of interior mods . i should have tons of pics tonight but i have to pick up my new wheels from powdercoating and get them mounted on the radials . trying to get a new quick ratio 12-1 steering box to make this thing handle even better. i doubt there is another truck that handles like this thing does after what i recently did and when im done i want to challange a z06 through the turns i have alot of faith in the truck at this point .

sounds like something may have fused itself together in that switch to me . i have an extra fog light switch that has an aux switch that goes to nothing and has a pig tail , it was done very nicely and is a clean setup if you want it send me a few bucks and its yours to try . i figure 20 bucks would be fair with shipping and paypal fees , i starting buying extras as i had thoughts my interior wouldnt get back to me so i bought some crap . pm me or paypal me [email protected]

just wanted some feedback im about half way through this and am noticing the flat tops led arent as bright as the dome tops . i noticed in your video that your mirror adjust switch isnt lit up , after doing the driver side i kept having the leds come in contact with the clear plastic that they illuminate through. what i did was drilled a small 3/16 hole about 1/8 deep to allow the led to fit into , without doing so would not allow me to fully clip in the led/switch board. i tried but it popped the solder right off. i also added an extra led into the "passenger" illumination cubby on the airbag switch , i was able to finess and solder directly to the film i got a weller solder iron and man is it bad ass , level 3 seems to be the best setting as for getting the solder melted without hurting anything . what i want to try is get some dome led's and lightly sand each one making it a flat top , imo that will make everything much more uniform . i really dont like the hot spots im getting thus far. i also picked up a lux nav with all the goodies , will be doing that in led as well as the lux bose audio upgrade. more bass here i come . thanks for writing this up , it definatly helped me out with the positive and negative side. i wouldnt want to do this again but honestly its pretty darned easy , just finesse and concetration is key .

man thats getting it for sure. 11's is a great goal for a stock cube n/a motor. sometimes i wish i had another stock motor vehicle to play with and set similar goals.

not if i have to let someone drive my truck .

ill be hitting the theater tonight for sure. sucks im scared to drive my SS anywhere in fear of it being stolen . coming out of that movie and jumping in it would be a fist pumping good time.

i need the long piece that goes below the cab doors , id like it in black too but will settle for others , mine got messed up in a lowering accident involving a jackstand and it somewhat bent up so i need a black one . whacha got:?

anyone is welcome , it just becomes an issue with parking with that many vehicles. i was surprised how many vehicles i actually got to attend . im going to start looking at future shows to have a meet, the thing that kind of sucks is im sure alot of would like to show our vehicle but also want to hang out and cruise and usually when you show your stuck for the day , i was planning on having a little meet at the throwdown but its only limited to a couple guests.

shipping sucks , locally is going to be your best bet. ill talk to my friend he gets all kind of low mileage stuff and usually sells it with some upgrades or uses it for parts.

i just need the 5 so i can start putting sets together . i plan to make them in SS with clear, black, blue and red covering.

i made a new 1.5 od tube crossmember and welded it in on the frame. ill need to gusset it up when i do the coil overs but after some calculations im going to need between 275-325 lbs springs.
