finally got it fixed! it was my passenger side cat. it broke apart. the shop said i should cut back on fuel additives and not to run with my cut out open all the time. would that really affect it? had some high flow cats put in, and it's louder and raspier!!

going to try classic muffler and muffler city. may see if underground will cut em off for me!

do you guys know anywhere in town that'll put new cats in for me? my rattle noise is the passenger side cat.

i'm also interested in what can bolt up to the factory cats. will the factory cats still flow good with LTs?

Yeah I'm going to see if anythings loose down there. The noise is kind of consistent with revs though.

No CEL at all. would i see anything with an OBD-II scanner if somethings causing a problem?

i'm still interested in splitting the HP tuners with you. i just need to get my tranny issues worked out. yeah that place on dimond seems good. i'm probably going to check with youngs also. the noise is driving me f*ckin crazy!

Hey everyone, My truck recently developed a rattling noise. i can make it rattle while revving in place, and i hear it while driving. I've read that it could be a cracked flywheel or the cats possibly. it's definately coming from past the engine, like in the transmission area. are there any symptoms to go along with this problem? my truck doesn't feel down on power or anything, but just hearing that noise worries me. would this be a costly fix? also, should i bring it to the dealership, or to a transmission shop? i'm also going to scan and see if there are any codes. maybe tomorrow morning, or wednesday i can get some video clips and upload it for you to hear.

mine got louder. its a lot more noticeable, esepecially while driving. could it be the cats too?

are the dougs headers shorties? also, do the ASMs need a y-pipe?

how much for the whole setup? where are the cut outs welded on to?

well, i don't know if it's consistent. i just noticed it this week. i thought it was my exhaust hitting something, but i havent really looked into it. i thought of doing the heads and cam myself, but i don't really have time, until the summer. i was planning on getting a wheatley tune. i thought about youngs off of international. i'll also keep hansen's in mind. i'm probably going to wait until next summer to get some tranny stuff done. I should probably wait until i do the bigger things to my truck. i think i'll get my LTs and a tune and call it good for awhile

do you guys know of any good transmission shops? i have a weird rattle going on and i've read that it might be a cracked flywheel. and do you guys know of any shops that'll install a cam and heads?

yeah, i just took the electric cut out off. it takes just a minute to crawl under and unbolt it, for when i want to be loud, like today. hahahha. i can't hear my bass or music over it, but it sounds mean. i have some rallying pictures too if you guys wanna see that!
