thanks guys. yeah, i don't like the bug reflector either, but it came on the truck, and it does help. i'm going to put a clear bra on once i fill in some chips and rebuff the hood.

I sprayed the truck with Stoners Tarminator and pressure washed it. I used Klasse All In One and a layer of Klasse Sealant Glaze after. I used a Porter Cable orbital buffer. Didn't get a rear shot cause my bike rack kills the look of the truck, LOL.

yeah, that was me. i was like hey, another SS. there was another red SS at alaska club too. dunno who drives it. it had black rims with a chrome lip. yeah, just let me know, it's just sitting in my truck.

what kind of buffer did your friend use? i invested into a porter cable for my black suburban i used to have and it totally helped with the swirls. and my SS looks sweet after a buffing, speakin of which, i need to do one before winter hits.

hey everyone, i think i just rolled around 60,000 miles. My tranny's been good still. I was wondering if I should look into getting it rebuilt before something does happen (knock on wood). I'm trying to decide between going all motor or getting a supercharger (radix or procharger). I plan on keeping the S/C at stock boost, but i'd like the tranny to be able to handle the power. should I look into local shops, or just save up for an FLT? and do you guy know of any shops that would send a tranny to AK?

anyone need the lineout converter for putting a sub in with the factory deck? Since i've had my new deck in, it's just been sitting under my driver seat. its that PAC one.

might be your plugs? i had the same thing, i thought it was a clogged cat, but i put a new set of ac delco plugs and it was good after.

i'm right under 68,000, and knock on wood, nothing's been wrong. i know i need new tires for next summer, and i think the shocks are about done. should i be expecting anything else around this time? i plan on getting the tranny rebuilt if i get FI of some sort.

just checking up on you guys. what's new? I finally got my front bumper fixed, from my winter shenaningans. Markel's does a good job. got a new bumper, grilles and brake ducts are still black, and no front plate bracket holes. Dunno if I'll be getting new mods anytime soon. gas is so damned expensive these days. I hate racing people cause i watch the gas gauge go down. hahahah. Hopefully get some LTs and a tune before winter. also need to replace my 5-year old tires on the 20s.

my trucks been down for the past few weeks, but is running great again! guess i have to cut back on octane boosters. I think i'm done modding the truck. maybe a new deck later down the road. I'm getting a Civic to drive as a beater, and will mob the truck on weekends or if i go to Aly in the winter.

since i'm being cheap with school around the corner, i did everything i could before bringing the truck to the stealership. I decided i would go buy some AC Delco spark plugs and swap those in. when i did plugs and wires i had the NGK TR55s gapped at .050. this time i followed the manual and gapped em at .040. the truck is running great again, and the CEL is gone and hasnt returned all day, and isn't pending at all in the ECU. I think i need to really cut back, or not use octane boost at all. the NGKs were really fouled. i'm thinking the sea foam treatment and the time i put in two bottles of octane boost in with regular fuel is what killed em. anyways, with that out of the way, what the hell can cause a Service Air Bag message to come on? if it's not one thing, it's another with this truck.... i'm just glad to have the power back!! just enjoying it while I can, cause it's going to be a weekend only truck soon, since i'm getting a honda civic as a commuter car.

I still need to get mine fixed. a friend cleaned my injectors and it still runs like crap. would a clogged fuel filter cause any of this? i'm also thinking coils or cats. the thing is though is that i don't have the rotten egg smell at all.

thanks for the advice. i'm also thinking its a bad cat. maybe it's a good time for dynatechs or OBX LTs. now i have to decide which chevy dealer to bring it to. I'll keep you guys updated!
