  1. AGREED

Run the truck where it matters, the track... TC's can rob a ton of power, especially unlocked.

My buddy runs just about the same times as me at the track, and the same exact mods... However, his converter does not lock at WOT, mine will. Third gear pulls, my converter locks at about 105, pull goes until about 120. I put down 380/360. He put down 298/320.

Numbers don't matter... And they can be skewed by a TC that doesn't lock.

  2. unless you are running SD (speed density) open loop you would not need a retune if you install an intake after you have a tune. You are running the MAF therefor the MAF is very forgiving when it comes to intake and muffler swaps without a retune, now if you are running SD open loop then yes it would need a retune for little minor mods like that

  3. Thanks guys.

I have not flashed the converter with it yet,in the video it came in quik but it was not flashed with bottle, but it will flash well over 4 grand though for sure.I am thinking more about 4200-4300.

To be honest,I love how it drives with it.Daily driver friendly yes,but for some it may be alittle loose. But I love it.You can accelerate at a fair steady pull at about 2800-3000 RPM,but you get to 65% or more TPS it will spin right at 4 grand and climb quik.LOL

    It is a blast.

On the bottle I had it shifting at 6350 in that video and the shift extention between gears were 5200RPM which is perfect.Off the bottle when shifting at 6500RPM,the shift extention is right at 5 grand.

  4. Mods are 6.0 swap,cam,pi 3800 stall converter,Performabuilt Level 2 transmission,longtubes,4.10's Wheatley tuning of course and a 100 shot!!

Of course trueflow intake and borla exhaust but I do not really mention that,as those are just basic things that everyone does

On that run in that video the only weight reduction was tail gate and that is all.

  5. Thats exactly what I like about it,sure I can get a std.cab and go faster. But I like doing it in a crewcab where some would least expect it and still have room in my back seat for my latop,HPTuners and wideband!!

    I like the room

Must shock the guys there to see a crew cab bust off a low 12... Just insane...

God I have to get my bottle hooked up!!!

  6. Went to Sealy and made some runs. This is in my CREWCAB,only weight reduction was taking the tail gate off, that is it!!

When they first started running, the track so not hookin worth a damn.It was rediculous!!So I let the truck sit until about 11PM as the track was getting better as the night went on.

    Ran some pretty good times!!

11's are next and will definatly happen next time out very shortly

This was on a 100 shot, did not get any motor passes in LOL
