  1. Thats one of the wheel to wheel trucks if you scroll down to the bottom you can see some of their other vehicles
  2. Very good point but you also cant drive the top fuel dragster on the street and it's not a production vehicle.
  3. If you choose to do them black I think the best look will be hard anodized black but be sure they are polished to perfection first and they will turn out bad ass! Just be sure to use wax on them to protect the anodized surface and keep it from fading.
  4. Your truck should have come with an adapter to go from there to the 4 wire style connector look in you glove box.
  5. He could be mistaken because I don't think they got the 14 bolt untill 05 who are our 04 VHO members I know we have some.
  6. I could have swore they got the 10 bolt like the SS we may need to find out from the few 04 VHO owners we have here if they have a 10 bolt or the 14 bolt but the 04's I have see have the calipers sitting in the front of the rearend rather than at an angle at the top and the reason they sit like that on the 14 bolt is because the flange is clocked different than the 10 bolt and I know GM wouldn't make backing plates for one year and then stop using them.
  7. I'm glad to see you found this as straight forward as I did. When I spoke with baer about the drums this was when the 05's first came out and they didn't believe me that GM went back to drums so they got right on it and they called me back and said all I needed was the backing plates to make their current kit work and they added the braided flex lines and mounting hardwear for where the male and female fittings met to hold the hard line in place to keep it from flexing and breaking or cracking, but without this mounting harwear anyone with half a brain can figure something out to keep the hard line from moving or like mentioned reuse the 10 bolt parts if you have the availability to do so. I was supprised that the shock tabs even had the threaded holes in them for the tabs on the e-brake lines for earlier years. This lead m to believe GM used the same shock tabs/brackets as earlier years or they possibly had plans to put disk brakes on the 14 bolt but possibly decided not to, either way everything is there and in place to make this mod look as if it came that way from the factory.
  8. Well I spent the $$$$ and replaced the mirror with an OEM mirror that belongs on the truck $400 later I have a mirror that needs paint and I was quoted $100 to paint the mirror smoothed out just like the passenger side. So I will be 100% complete after I get it painted
  9. It's been a while freebies are always good
  10. are you sure on this??? have you done it? if so its done this week then Yup It will work. I did this swap and used the factory backing plates from an earlier rearend with disk brakes and the caliper ends up at about a 45* angle at the top front of the axle. I will look for some pics to show you where it puts the caliper, but I talked to baer about this and they just added factory backing plates to the alumasport kit for trucks with drums. This was a very easy swap. This is the kit for one side I recieved from baer the bag just had instructions and the hardwear which you will already have for the brake lines and such. Left side Right side
  11. your truck is one of my fav's as well.. there is going to be a truck of the month picked every month starting realy soon (you even get a bunch of gifts and certificates), i would hate to see your truck gone, i would think yours would definetly make it within the first few months imo but if you have to sell it, by all means do whats best for you. i've had to make choices like that before. good luck with everything!. p.s. did you ever get that garage floor done, i kinda wanted to do that myself, if you did pics would be great!.. if you have the time. later. I'm still waiting for behr to send me the two part epoxy. It's been 3 weeks now and they said it has been shipped but Fed Ex hasn't delivered it yet so I guess I wait because I dunno who to blame right now. I will be sure to get pics once I get it done.
  12. Why not just put the rotors from your stock rearend on the 14 bolt? They will bolt right on you will need to pull the axels to remove the backing plates and the same goes to install them on the 14 bolt but they will bolt right up. The calipers will be clocked a bit different on the 14 bolt but they will work.
  13. Thanks guys I figured it wasn't possible to get the aluminum block but thought it was worth a shot. There is nothing wrong with the iron block but figured the aluminum block was lighter and if it came in a light RCSB it would make a pretty badass sport truck. I don't have to get rid of the VHO but it is about time for a change and it would be nice to pay a little less than I pay now. The garage is great I like having a place to keep the truck out of the weather but I misjudged lastnight and took out the drivers side mirror
  14. Just really havn't had much time to be on the net since the new place. I have had many projects around here that I have been working on.
  15. I have been busy with my new condo and some issues at work which leads me to want to drink when I get home rather than chat on the site. But anyways I am looking to possibly lower my payments a bit and have been thinking about getting rid of the VHO for a new body style RCSB but I really only wanna do this if the aluminum 5.3 is an option in this truck. built a truck on Chevrolet.com but didn't see the aluminum 5.3 as an option only the 315hp iron block 5.3, does anyone know if this is even possible? If so whats the RPO code for this? Thanks in advance, Jon
  16. I'm sure you did more but I counted 14 doughnuts in that vid.
  17. My floor looks just like that same color and everything but i'm gonna try it again when the Behr 2 part epoxy shows up. I did the exact same thing you did as far as the steps takin to prep the surface.
  18. Do you know if this is a one part or two part "real epoxy" have you had anything heavy on it and how long did you wait to put anything on it?
  19. I applied the behr 1 part "epoxy" coating and I am having trouble with it peeling up when I park a vehicle with wet tiroes on it and the water dries then the floor peels up. Does anyone have expierience with any kind of covering or coatings that is actually reliable? I contacted behr and they are refunding me every dime for everything I have purchased and they have a 2 part epoxy which is supposed to beable to go over the 1 part with no problem so this may sole me problem but they are sending me 3 gallons for freeso I have been looking at other options. i want something that is very durable can withstand water/oil and be very easy to clean without having to pull up the floor to get underneath it.
  20. Winter whats that it was 85* in the beginning of the week and last weekend!
  21. White and yellow taxicab?
  22. the only thing I liked about the occ truck was what they did with the headlights and taillights.
  23. Well if they claim 15hp from a tuner thats very possible but i'm sure it's not cheap and for the gain not worth the price.
