  1. I'll bet you hold the highest bid too <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL I bet he has 3 soon!
  2. No one said anything about wind. It only states that it's on a treadmill there for it will take off and no one said anything about the wings being different. This is a conventional plane we are talking about here. So yes it will take off!
  3. Are you serious. They told me that the SS has sport braking. For smoother braking. They said they were called hydraboost brakes. My pops has a 2004 2500HD duramax and I believe he has hydraboost brakes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats because it's turbocharged and doesn't make enough vacuum to make vacuum assisted brakes work correctly. I know some suburbans have hydraboost systems in them as well. we have an 03 Z71 and it does we also have an 05 at work and it also has a hydraboost braking system and it failed within the first 500 miles off the lot. That type of system uses the powersteering pump to "boost" the braking power and it's pretty damn funny when it fails. At low speed you could turn the wheel slightly in this thing and the brakes would apply
  4. I know I know but it'll be worth it when your boost tubes are done!!! You still need those pics of the stock serpentine belt assembly? You might just need to bring your truck over when you get it running again because I may beable to machine some parts to make everything line up again.
  5. Take it to another dealer because your truck does not have a hydraboost braking system.
  6. Hey you missed someone I don't understand where these people think the treadmill has anything to do with air speed. It's moving the damn wheels! So what! It's not moving the air there for the same amount of thrust can be achieved and the wheels will just spin faster than they would if it was on stationary ground.
  7. That's good news for us diesel folks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I see your running some competitiors products! Are you one of those guys who is stuck with one product and puts everyone else down or are you up for the best bang for the buck? I know we are probably one of the most expensive diesel tuners out there but we are all about pulling the most power and keeping all the rest of the stock parts alive for those who wanna just ad more power to their truck with out having to worry about destroying a trans or a complete melt down. I'm not very familiar with other tuners out there but I can say that today my dad was infront of me and this damn thing pulled away from my VHO like I was standing still and this was on level 6, thats before the SL or (level 7) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not sure if your addressing me or not. If you are then no, i'm not blindly loyal to one product as you should see. As far as the most bang for my buck I like the Predator and Edge products but will probably go with EFI live tuning in the future. The Edge has a good reputation with the Duramax guys at dieselplace.com especially with it's defueling and EGT protection settings. I'm also happy with the power and speed of this combo. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well thats cool and i'm glad your setup works well for you we tested the edge setup for the LBZ and it's only a matter of time before they have come backs and warranty issues. I just asked because most diesel guys are against banks for whatever reason and have nothing good to say but in the three years that I have been there I have never seen a major failure to the engine on a customers vehicle other than the 6.0 ford and thats because they streach the head bolts in time and adding more bost doesn't help so they wind up with blown head gaskets and they way we resolve the problem is to replace the bolts with ARP studs which is a no brainer. Other than that we have failed many transmissions in testing and thats just because we have to find the weak points somewhere to be able to stop it from happening to a customers truck. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> From my point of view there are quite a few diesel folks happy with their Banks products and services <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good to hear!
  8. Hey man happy B-day!!! You will have to come by this weekend, my parents are going to the river and i'm hoping they leave the D-max behind I have some "testing" of my own to do
  9. LOL i'll have to see if I can get it away from him again this weekend!
  10. Well I just got the intake for it today from work and I must say I see these pieces everyday and always knew we made a quality product but you don't realize it untill you actually install one on the vehicle itself. I am in the R&D department/race shop and I am not part of the dovelpoment of the product we sell for everyday vehicles, but if you know anything about the d-max you know what the MAF looks like and it's held in with some cheesy screws from the factory. We use steel inserts amd provide machine screws to hold it in and add a second O-ring to insure a perfect seal. Everything went well and fit perfect. The truck sounds pretty damn mean for a "stock" D-max. I consider it stock because I work with twin turbo D-max's on a daily basis which have to many mods to list and the only way to explain the way they sound is like a pissed off tractor maybe with a hint of the deep sound you would get out of a big block chevy.

  13. It's a twin turbo D-max non intercooled because we are going to use the nitrous for cooling the intake charge. The reason for not using intercoolers and using nitrous instead is to keep the weight down over the frontend.
  14. Good atleast we'll have someone to put to shame!
  15. Well Chase got a ride today and i'm sure he can comment on how much power it picked up over the stock tune (level 1) I made some adjustments in the PDA which increases the "throttle pump", pretty much just adding more fuel off the line which really helped eliminate a lot of turbo lag. My dad also told me that the truck runs and idles much smoother now then it ever did before the tuner was added. It looks like all of that softwear and programming capabilities from bosch has paid off and we have even refined the stock tune to be smoother.
  16. fastest time in the 1/4 maybe not top speed
  17. Technically you could consider my wheels as intro's, but intro does have their own 2/3pc line of wheels now called ID I believe.
  18. Yeah we have always had the 6 gun with obviously 6 levels of power but in states without harsh emissions before we did the PDA we had what we called the speed loader and it added an aditional level of power and it pluged in under the dash. Well with the PDA there is no need for the speed loader box because it's all controlled by the PDA but we still call it the speed loader. So the screen reads levels 1-6 and then SL which is just a level 7. The LBZ seems to have a bit more turbo lag than I remember the LLY having, but on SL once boost kicks in it's making about 30lbs and the tires begin to break loose. I also supprised my dad by having them install our catback exhaust system and I will be getting him our intake as well.
  19. Yeah not quite that bad and no redneck stacks. We keep our stuff a bit more conservitive to keep the EGT's down and to keep the stock trans alive, we look for as much reliable power as we can get without hurting anything.
  20. 06 crewcab shortbed 2500 LBZ D-max
  21. Well after a long time waiting we are about to release our LBZ 6 gun tuner and my dad is one of the two beta testers, the tuner just got installed on his truck today and we are seeing an added 110hp on level 6 with the egt's maxing out around 1175* which is very safe. We are seeing right around 440hp or so at the rear wheels with like 850 ft lbs of torque. My dad asked me today if he will beable to leave from a stop and just burn the tires! I said we'll see! The guy writing the tunes told me he got the ok to do a level 7 which isn't california legal for polution reasons because it'll block out the sun but make tons more power so I am gonna see if he has that ready soon and get him to load that into my dads truck!
  22. Isn't that 12boltposi's other ride?
  23. You should get the gatorback put it on and take it back to show them it stopped, but the gatorback whines like crazy so it's kind of a give and take situation, you will either have the squeek on the shift or the whine and it will start to squeek again after a few thousand miles.
  24. I have baer brakes and mine don't squeek. I have the 15" rotors up front with the 6 piston calipers and the drum to disk conversion in the rear with 14" rotors and 2 piston calipers. I wouldn't go any less after having these.
