Bracket racing with AWD give you a tremendous advantage over the competition who is prone to tire spin. Add a tune with that and you can be deadly at the game! Give it a try...you'll be hooked for life!

Scott was a great driver and very experienced. While explosions of this nature happen all of the time in Funny Car, most drivers are able to get the car stopped or at least ease into the sand. Scott was unable to do this for some reason but most likely because he was already dead from the fire/explosion or the concussion from the explosion rendered him unconscious. Either way, it is most unfortunate and I was very sad to hear the news. I was in the staging lanes at my home track about to go into round 3 when I first heard the news. Scott and the entire Kalitta family was on my mind for the rest of the day and I held them in my prayers. I ended up winning the event and I dedicated my win to Scott and the Kalitta family. The news scared me. While I am not going nearly fast enough to ever experience something horrific like this, one never knows what can happen on that track, especially in a bracket race where your opponent could be crossing the finish line right beside you at a considerably higher speed. I just think about the family that he left behind and how they must feel. That makes me think about the family I would be leaving behind if something were to happen to me and, frankly, it makes me sad and scared shitlees to get into that truck at the next event but I do and I will keep doing it. I love it and I have excepted the risk just as Scott and many others have and will. The only solice I can find in situations like these is that at least he died doing what he loved. RIP Scott and God speed.

Yes it is. I was experimenting with ways to get more air into my homemade intake. The hole is now gone and that area of the headlight is completely cut out. I thought about removing the headlight but I have never liked that look so i am trying something different. See the difference in this pic. The increased airflow sure helped my consistency this past weekend as you can see from the trophy!

Thanks! I added the pins to help with fitment issues and just some extra security when going down the track. It's a fiberglass hood and it saved me about 30 pounds over stock plus it looks better. Still needs some paint but it looks good for now!

No worries at all! I was hoping you would chime in because I have no idea what to ask for them. I payed about $2700 for them new with install but that was when they first came out. I just threw a price out there! I am just looking to get enough to cover some 18"s with tires, not looking to make any money.

Looking to sell my wheels and tires. They are American racing 22" (I can't remember the model number) with Sumitomo tires. The tires are in decent shape with good tread but they are starting to crack due to age. I haven't driven on the street or highway with thes tires in over two years. I am looking to get $2000 obo for them. Local pick-up is preferred. I am also willing to trade for a good, light set of 18"s with tires.

The Celtics played great defense all year long and as the saying goes, defense wins championships. Congrats to them on their dream season...It most likely will never happen again. I am a Laker fan forever but I am also a basketball fan and I am glad to see KG finally get the big win he deserves. As for the Lakers, like Phil said, they were excited to be there and their immaturity showed in this series. They shouldn't fire anyone. The team is great and will continue to grow and improve with Bynum healthy next year. All they need to do is work on their team defense and they will be unstoppable for many years to come. Congrats Celtics on banner 17 and enjoy it while it lasts because people will gunning for you next year and a repeat is likely not to happen.

It was fun talking about you guys on the PA. To be fair to my track crew, the prep was not at it's best but that is mainly due to all of the ricers and their street tires pulling up the VHT. A track needs good prep and a consistent layer of rubber to really work well and we just don't get the rubber we need at a Street Legal event. You guys should come out to a PSCA event and enter the trophy bracket class if you want the best track. Anywhoo, great runs guys and congrats on your new best Art. I wish I would have had my truck out there today.

What an F'ing waste of a season!!! I know it ain't over till it's over but I am so pissed right now I can hardly see straight! :fume: :fume: What a friggin' joke of a meltdown!!! Correct me if I'm wrong but this IS the NBA Finals isn't it? The Lakers haven't shown up at all for this series and it will really show when the Celtics hoist the trophy in a game or two. I wish I could be positive about a win in game 5 but after tonight, who the F knows any more?

I agree. Had their shots fallen, the Lakers would have taken game 1. Plus, let's remember a couple of things: It's hard to play on the road in an arena like the Garden where the whole town is loud and pumped up. Also, the bloody game started at 9 p.m. over there for God's sake. The Lakers are usually alm ost done by that time. They must have been tired. I still say Lakers in 5 as they will destroy them in game 2 and then sweep them at home.

Can you get either one of those in 18's?

I caught the last two games and they were great! The Wings definitely looked like the superior team and deserved to get the win.
